Prosperous Communities Finding the Right Job/Youth Employment Support for people looking for work, including careers advice, practical help for CV/application writing, developing skills, employment related training and opportunities to gain vital experience via work placements and volunteering. Specialist support is available through 2 projects, one supporting 16-24 yr olds and one for the over 25’s. People can call to book an appointment or drop in at the following venues: Tuesdays John Reynolds Centre, 2pm - 4pm (all ages) Wednesdays St Mellons Community Centre, 1pm-4pm (16-24) St Mellons Enterprise Centre, 1pm-3pm (Over 25s)

Citizens Advice Outreach and Advice ECLP Communities First is supporting the CAB to provide people with early access to quality assured advice, information and support on a range of topics (including debt, benefits, housing, health, education, consumer issues, relationships and other issues). Tuesday, 10am to 1pm - The Beacon Centre, Harrison Drive, St Mellons. Wednesday, 2pm to 4.30pm - Rumney Medical Centre, Barmouth Rd, Rumney. Friday, 10am to 1pm - Llanedeyrn Powerhouse, Roundwood, Llanedeyrn.

Thursdays Llanedeyrn Powerhouse, 2pm - 4pm (all ages) Contact: Over 25s Support - Joe Cicero - Joe.C@c3sc.org.uk 16 - 24s Support - Lee Bridgeman - Lee.B@c3sc.org.uk Digital Inclusion Using person-centred learning, we enable people with low IT skills and low confidence to learn with minimal stress. Our sessions rotate at informal venues with relaxed atmosphere and focus on practical online skills such as applying for benefits, shopping/banking safely, communicating with friends/family. In addition we are looking to progress participants from ECLP sessions into mainstream IT learning opportunities at neighbourhood learning centres where they can build on basic skills to get them ‘job ready’.

The

Youth Engagement This enables young people to benefit from activities which divert them from anti-social behaviour and reoffending. The project will work with community members and young people to address antisocial behaviour and youth offending by including young people as active developers and delivers in community development projects. We will also provide mentoring to young people who have offended by working with them to find local engaging activities to build their selfconfidence and promote well-being.
