As the seasons change, it's time to leave our days of hosting summer BBQs behind for bigger and better fall-themed parties. But if you went all out this summer, we're talking watermelon kegs and big batch Jell-O shots; you're probably looking for a way to step up your hosting game for autumn. Luckily, we came up with the most epic party trick yet: Turn an ordinary pumpkin into a keg to really impress your party guests. If you can carve a jack-o-lantern, you're already ahead of the curve! SUPPLIES One large pumpkin Marker or pencil Carving kit Plastic Spigot (aka tap) Lots of Sam Adams Octoberfest beer DIRECTIONS Step 1: First, draw a ring around the top of your pumpkin. This will be your guide to carve the lid. Try to keep this pretty close to the top of the pumpkin so you optimize the hollowed out space that will hold the beer. Step 2: Once that's done, carve it! If you're sans carving kit you can use a serrated knife. Whatever your tool of choice, poke it in at an angle and work your way around the ring.
Step 3: Pop the lid off once you've gone all the way around and clean out your pumpkin. Make sure you get all the seeds out and most of the pulp, but don't worry if some of that's left behind since it's responsible for flavoring the beer. Step 4: Now, find the spot where you want to place your spigot. Using your pencil or marker, trace around the rim once you've decided upon the spot. Cutting the hole here will require a pretty fine serrated knife, so the carving kit proves really worthwhile at this point. Make the hole as clean cut as possible, then pop in your spigot. If your pumpkin is as thick as ours was you'll have to thin out the pumpkin's inner wall to fit the spigot properly. Don't be afraid to dig in - the pumpkin can take it. Step 5: Once your spigot is secured, you're ready to go! Pour in your Sam Adam's Octoberfest and pop the lid back on your pumpkin. Step 6: Celebrate fall and all your hard work with a cold brew from your pumpkin keg!

Don't Be 'That Guy' With the Caitlyn Jenner Halloween Costume Halloween is just a few weeks away, but some enterprising purveyors of useless goods for the year's least essential holiday are already staking a claim for the title of Most Bloggable Costume. As has been reported far and wide, a "Call Me Caitlyn" costume, riffing off of Caitlyn Jenner's now iconic Vanity Fair cover, is now on sale. The ensemble, which retails between $49.90-$74.99 on sites like AnyTimeCostume.com and WholeSaleHalloweenCostumes.com, comes complete with a "white padded top and matching shorts as well as a brunette wig so that you can dress as the softer side of the popular Olympian" has, as you will be in no way surprised to hear, ginned up a healthy serving of the Internet's most inexhaustible resource: outrage. "People are outraged over this distasteful Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume," headlined Business Insider; "Caitlyn Jenner costume sparks outrage," said the New York Daily News. "Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume sparks social media outrage," reported CNBC. A Change.org petition has taken aim at another supplier, Spirit Halloween, demanding that the company remove the item from sale.
Last week, Spirit's spokeswoman Trisha Lombardo justified the costume with a bit of sleight of hand. "Caitlyn Jenner has proven to be the most important real-life superhero of the year, and Spirit Halloween is proud to carry the costume that celebrates her," she said. Sure, that's exactly what you're doing, critics said. Celebrating her. Many are making a persuasive argument about how tokenizing trans people in this fashion is harmful and reductive, and that it's a setback after all of the strides we've seen this year, in no small part due to Jenner's coming out, and I am not going to attempt to contradict them here. Instead, I'd argue that wearing a costume like this is offensive for an entirely unrelated reason. Like any other costume that exists simply to remind people of a news item in the recent past, it's just not funny.
This isn't our first go round with this type of story, of course. The "Costume Sparks Outrage" news cycle has become a tradition as regular as Halloween itself. Last year we were outraged about an ebola costume and an MH370 costume. Before that there were 9/11 costumes, and Boston Marathon bombing victim costumes. We've "To make a costume out of a marginalized identity reduces also recently seen Ray Rice domestic abuse costumes and that person and community to a stereotype for privileged Trayvon Martin costumes. And each time this debate people to abuse," the petition reads. "In this case, if you comes back around, we're reminded of a couple of very follow through with production of a Caitlyn Jenner important lessons: people are terrible, yes, but more so costume, cisgender people will purchase it to make fun of than that, they're exceptionally, embarrassingly boring. her and our community." Seriously, just try to imagine the type of person who thinks it would be a riot to show up to a party dressed as the dentist who killed the lion.
And let's ignore the fact that (almost) anyone wearing a Halloween costume after the onset of puberty is an infantilized baby to be avoided at all costs if you can reach the doorbell to ring for candy then you're too old to be doing it. But, if we must allow for the sake of argument that it's acceptable for adults to play dress up pretend time in order to go out to a party somewhere in the vicinity of the two weeks bookending October 31, then this type of costume is undoubtedly the lowest form of the medium. Here's what actually happening when you purchase, put on, then go out into the world wearing a costume like the Caitlyn Jenner one: Friend: Hi come on in. What's your costume? You: Caitlyn Jenner. Remember her? When she was in the news? Friend: Yeah. I remember that. You: Me too. Friend: Nice. I love to remember news items and recognize them.
You: Same. Ok, I'm gonna stand around all night in this Caitlyn Jenner costume now that I put on to remind people I know about the news. Would you ever initiate a conversation like that any other time of the year? "Hey man, remember 9/11?" Of course not. Not unless you're campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination. Wearing a costume pulled from current events is the equivalent of a BuzzFeed Relatability Quiz. How Many of These News Items From The Year Do You Remember? and even lamer because you've got to shlep all the way out of your house in order for it to hit its mark. It's effectively walking into a room and screaming: I HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET AND ROUGHLY $50. And what's worse, it's probably not even an original joke you came up with on your own. So forget the Jenner costume. If you're looking for one this Halloween that conveys how unfunny and unoriginal you are while expressing the sentiment "I enjoy memes," maybe consider going as The Taco.

Diplo: I've helped Bieber with the new album The 36-year-old DJ and producer teamed up with Justin to work on his upcoming new album. And while details of the record are still being kept tightly under wraps, Diplo revealed he and Justin worked together on perfecting the sound that led to his track What Do You Mean and subsequent comeback. 'I just listened to his music, advised and made adjustments to new songs,' Diplo told Entertainment Weekly at the iHeartRadio festival last weekend (19-20Sep15). 'I helped with the overall feel of the sound that we started with Jack U and raced a lot of ioHawks in the studio.' Diplo and Skrillex previously collaborated with Justin on Where Are ĂƒĹ“ Now, the track which achieved a number one when it was released in February. Justin has been hard at work promoting his third studio album of late, the musician's first offering since 2012 LP Believe hit the shelves. A source close to the musician previously revealed that the record will be a more emotionally in depth exploration of Justin as a singer.
'There's some personal stuff and some ballads [on the album],' the source told EW. 'There's some spoken-word moments with him literally talking about what he's going through in his life. It's all about the experience of being Justin Bieber.' Justin has been teasing fans about his upcoming release, promising that it is set to be as successful as his previous offerings. While speaking to the crowd at the iHeartMedia Music Summit back in August, the Baby hitmaker ensured fans will not be disappointed with his new volume of work. 'My music is very awesome, actually. I've been working really hard on it,' he emphasised. 'I've been taking my time. I haven't put out an album in over three years.'
“Til It Happens To You,” Lady Gaga’s new song recorded for the documentary The Hunting Ground, has struck a nerve: the affecting ballad, which soundtracks a film focusing on the rape epidemic on U.S. college campuses, has accrued 10 million YouTube views in less than a week. The song was penned by legendary songwriter Diane Warren, who tells Billboard that “Til It Happens To You” once again demonstrates Gaga’s under-heralded vocal charisma, following her powerhouse performance at the Academy Awards earlier this year. “She’s one of the best artists I’ve ever worked with,” says Warren. “A song like this, she brings her artistry to it. What she’s proven with these other things she’s done is that she doesn’t have to wear a meat dress to get attention. That stuff is cool because that’s who she is, but she doesn’t need it, because she has so much raw fucking talent.” Warren best known for writing smashes like Toni Braxton’s “Un-Break My Heart,” LeAnn Rimes’ “How Do I Live” and Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” wrote “Til It Happens To You” for The Hunting Ground and thought that Gaga would be the perfect person to deliver the vocals. During an interview with Howard Stern last December, Gaga revealed that she had been a victim of sexual assault at the age of 19. “I played [Gaga] the song and she was basically in tears,” Warren recalls. “It really affected her, and she loved it. I flew to New York and we went in the studio, and it was one of those lifetime experiences, hearing her bring the song to life and putting so much of her heart and soul into it.” Warren continues that Gaga’s vocal take is a “master class in performance” and mirrors the trajectories of the assault victims in the documentary. “In the first verse, she’s so vulnerable it’s almost like in the movie, these girls start out as victims and they become survivors and then they become activists,” she says. “As she’s getting into that second verse, it’s like she’s getting mad and becoming a survivor. At the end, she’s so victorious and strong.” “I’ve never gotten so many people calling me and texting me about how this song has moved them before,” says Warren. “It’s never happened to me, and I’ve written a lot of songs.” Gaga has yet to announce the full-length follow-up to her Tony Bennett duets album Cheek To Cheek, but Warren says she’d love to be on board for the singer’s next project. “We have talked about [collaborating further], so hopefully that will happen,” says the songwriter. “I’d love to do that. And she can go anywhere from here.”
Coca-Cola Allegedly Owes the IRS Billions in Back Taxes On Friday, the soda company said in a statement that it plans to "pursue all administrative and judicial remedies necessary to resolve this matter" and that it has "followed the same methodology for determining U.S. taxable income from certain foreign company operations for nearly 30 years." ELO to release new album
Known as one of the most iconic forces in music history, Jeff Lynne's ELO is set to deliver a new album which will be the first new ELO music in 15 years. Entitled Alone In The Universe, the album is set for global release November 13 on Columbia Records (RCA Records in the UK). The album is available globally for pre-order Friday, September 25th and the first single 'When I Was a Boy' is also available Friday. Fans who preorder the album will receive 'When I Was A Boy' instantly. As with ELO's previous chart-topping albums, Jeff Lynne continues to serve as ELO's producer, songwriter, arranger, lead singer and guitarist. In September 2014, for the first time in 30 years, Jeff Lynne's ELO headlined BBC Radio 2's "Festival In A Day" in London's famous Hyde Park to a sold-out crowd of 50,000 fans in attendance and nearly a million people tuned in to watch. Lynne was the creative genius behind ELO which sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, had more than 20 Top 40 Hits across the U.S. and the U.K. and received countless awards and accolades. At the time of ELO's formation, Lynne had said the goal was to create modern rock and pop songs. A goal that remains true some 30 years later with the creation of new material. 'Music is such a powerful force in our lives. A good song can make people feel much less alone in this universe. And trying to create one of those songs somehow makes me feel less alone too. My whole life-from being that kid with a dream in Birmingham right until today-proves how much music can do,' said Lynne. 'Jeff Lynne is a total master of his craft and 'Alone In The Universe' is pure pop perfection. We are thrilled to be involved in the return of ELO and enormously proud to be releasing this contemporary classic on Columbia Records,' said Ashley Newton, President of Columbia Records

Sam Smith: My music is honest
The 23-year-old British singer is lending his impressive vocals to the new Bond soundtrack with song Writing's on the Wall. But there's no news on his second album yet and the star has quashed any hopes of a fast follow-up to last year's In the Lonely Hour. "I'm writing when I want to. So when bad things happen in my life, I'm going into the studio and writing about them!" he laughed to the British edition of OK! magazine. "I'm excited but it's not going to be anytime soon. I think people are going to get bored of me if I carry on. I'm just trying to make it the most honest work I've ever done." And it looks like any new tracks won't be more upbeat than Sam's previous ballads. He explains that he can only make happy music when he's in love, and he's still "a bit heartbroken" right now. At least he has new Bond film Spectre to keep him busy for now. And to take his mind off lost loves, he can focus on the prospect of former soccer star David Beckham stepping into the role of the secret agent when Daniel Craig retires. There have been rumours Becks is next and with a recent announcement he's moving into acting, it could happen. 'That would be interesting, that's all I'll say - that would be very interesting. He'd look fit for sure! He looks amazing in a suit," Sam grinned.
