Children of the '80s Rejoice! Tiffany Is Releasing New Music

There was a time in the 1980s when Tiffany was the it girl. At just 16 years old, she scored back-to-back #1 hits: "I Think We're Alone Now" and "Could've Been." The era of big hair and teen pop anthems is gone, and Tiffany's life has moved on. Her son, Elijah, has just graduated from college. She owns Tiffany's Boutique in Nashville. But she's still making music. "I have a new album coming out," she tells PEOPLE. "It's called A Million Miles, and it's available for preorder now." "I've been doing this for 30 years, and I know I've done a million miles worth of travel," she says with a laugh. "I'm a road dog! It also feels like I've been on a life journey. This album is very reflective on my life. It's a piece of work that is more of my heartfelt stories. It's very personal." Tiffany has quite a story to tell. A multiplatinum selling artist in her mid-teens, she had a protracted court fight with her mother that led to her becoming an emancipated minor. For 30 years, her career – and life – has had its ups and downs. "I don't live with regrets," she says. "Everything in my life has led me to where I am. And I like being where I am. And I'm not afraid to share my journey. If you want to know something about me, just ask! I'm pretty blunt." So what's the life lesson that Tiffany has learned in her 44 years? "Life is about

changing," she says. "It's hard for me to write songs about how the sun is shining and everything is great. Although I've definitely had days like that, there has always been something a little bittersweet to them. Even when I was living my dreams at 16, there were custody battles and family dramas. I think that's life. There's a little bit of bittersweet, and that's okay." One thing that's giving her mixed emotions: Elijah's college graduation. "Although I'm so excited for his life to start and all the different things that he wants to accomplish," she says, "then I remember the first day that I checked him into school." "But you know, I'm at the same point," she says. "I'm bittersweet at the things that I'm putting to bed, but then I'm so excited about the things that are yet to come. A Million MIles will be released in the spring, but it can be preordered – along with a lot of behind-the-scenes merchandise – at her PledgeMusic site.

Parrottheads, rejoice -- there's a Jimmy Buffett musical in the works. Producers said Thursday Dec. 17 that the show will have Buffett's blend of rock and country tunes and an original story by writers Greg Garcia and Mike O'Malley. Christopher Ashley will direct. A world premiere production is expected to be announced for 2017. Buffett has had hits with such beach-bum classics as "A Pirate Looks at Forty," ''Margaritaville," ''Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise." He also teamed up with the Zac Brown Band with the No. 1 country hit "Knee Deep" in 2011. His die-hard fans are known as "Parrotheads," and often turn up to his concerts in pirate costumes and parrot suits. "The idea of turning Margaritaville into a musical has been percolating for quite a while, but finding the right people to tell the right kind of story to go with the right songs from my catalogue took some time," Buffett said in a statement. "Now we have found our crew and I am happy to sail with them to Margaritaville. It's going to be a fun voyage." The producers of the musical are Frank Marshall, Mindy Rich, Anita Waxman and Beth Williams.

The new year brings with it a reinvigoration in our psyche; one wrought with both hope & trepidation of the new experiences to come. For recently launched No Regret Tattoo, there's one thing that's for sure; Philip Corbin & Jordan Rifenberg have launched their dreams of owning their own tattoo parlor with truly, no regret! Philip & Jordan have both always shared a passion for art. Philip kicked off his career in tattooing roughly 14 years ago in various Amarillo parlors of the time. His interest in art, particularly body art, stemmed all the way back to childhood when he'd first begun drawing tattoos. In 2005, Philip made the leap to Austin and worked at various tattoo studios there before opening his first No Regret Tattoo. Following a few years of success there, Philip moved back to Amarillo in 2011. His booming career had left little time to stay in touch with his family, and so relocated back to be close to them. He subsequently brought his extensive experience to another local tattoo shop where he would come to meet his friend & future partner, Jordan Rifenberg. Jordan launched his occupational passion for art in 2009 when he began working for the locally acclaimed sign artist F.H. Jones; the visionary mind behind such works as the signage artwork at Cowboy Gelato, Blue Sky on Western, & The Jungle, among others. In 2012, Jordan jumped career paths and went into massage therapy. Though stylistically somewhat of an art form, Jordan felt that the passion he'd had in sign work hadn't carried over to the massage field and so made the move into body art that would come to change his life. Jordan began his body art apprenticeship under Philip nearly 3 years ago, and in September 2015, their combined talents bore Amarillo’s newest tattoo parlor, No Regret Tattoo! Both artists are incredibly talented in numerous styles of body art, though they draw a great deal of inspiration from graffiti artwork, as well as traditional & neo-traditional styles. At one point, it would have been easy to cite a handful of favorite artists whom Philip & Jordan admire, but with the advent of social media’s global connectivity, both artists agree that there are far too many amazingly talented individuals the whole world round to truly narrow it down to just a few. In addition to their respect for other artists, they also carry a deep dedication to their clients & the art form itself. Both artists truly shine when the client gives them their chosen placement and a brief idea of the subject matter they want or basic theme, and let them run with it; those are always their best tattoos.

Abiding by their namesake, they like to advise first timers on a few tips. Most large pieces usually take multiple sessions where pain tolerance & budget come into play. In addition, “sleeves” & similar tattoos will vary in price & time depending on concept & content. Make sure to do your research & browse portfolios, as it’s integral that you’re comfortable with both your artist & their skills. Also, although everyone has a budget, the old adage of “you get what you pay for” rings true in the world of body art as well; after all, save for a handful of things you purchase, a tattoo can last forever so best not to skimp on quality to save a few dollars. About 1/3 of business is cover ups from times when clients chose to go for the cheapest route, rather than the best quality. To book an appointment or check out their work, visit them on Facebook under search “No Regret Tattoo” or online at www.noregrettattoo.com. You can also visit them in person at 2411 S. Western or call 806-418-6822. Kick off your new year with No Regret!

Under Texas law, driving while intoxicated by drugs or alcohol is a criminal offense that can have extremely serious legal consequences. Authorities are actively looking for people who violate the law, and many drivers are surprised to learn that they can be accused of driving while intoxicated (DWI) even after only a few drinks. In some cases, drivers may be arrested for a DWI even if their blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is below the limit that the law defines as “intoxicated.” Fortunately, there are often a number of ways in which a Texas DWI defense lawyer can help reduce the consequences you may be facing if you are accused of drunk driving. In some cases, an attorney may even be able to have the case against you dismissed or dropped by the state. What is driving while intoxicated under Texas Law? While drunk or drugged driving is illegal across the United States, each state has specific laws defining the offense and its associated legal penalties. In Texas, the general drunk driving law is found in Texas Penal Code Title 10, Chapter 49. The statute defines the term “intoxicated” in two distinct ways: •Not having the normal use of your mental and physical faculties due to the consumption of drugs or alcohol; and/or •Having a BAC of .08 percent or more. For certain classes of drivers, the BAC limit is lower. For example, drivers who are under 21 years of age are prohibited from driving with any detectable amount of alcohol in their system, and commercial drivers are subject to a .04 percent legal limit. Evidence of Intoxication When investigating a driver suspected of driving while intoxicated by drugs or alcohol, law enforcement officers can use a variety of methods to gather evidence of intoxication and impairment. Objective measures of a person’s blood, breath, or urine can be used to determine a driver’s BAC. It is important to note, however, that a BAC above the legal limit is not necessary to legally accuse someone of DWI in Texas; instead, probable cause indicating that you are intoxicated is enough for an officer to arrest you. Among the kinds of observations an officer can consider in determining whether a driver is intoxicated include observations about the driver’s appearance and behavior, the presence or odor of alcohol, and the driver’s performance on a variety of field sobriety tests.

The Chinese New Year, also called the Lunar New Year, is one of the biggest celebrations in Chinese culture. It is a long celebration that lasts for 15 days. Because it depends on the moon cycle, Chinese New Year is on the second New Moon of the year, it comes on a different day each year and is considered to be the beginning of Spring. Each year, as you probably know, has a specific Chinese zodiac animal, as well as a feng shui element associated with it. This determines the quality of energy in the New Year. 2016 is the Year of the Fire Monkey. It starts on February 8th, 2016. For the traditional feng shui practitioners and enthusiasts it is also the time to adjust the annual feng shui cures, you are correct. Find out all about the annual stars, both beneficial feng shui stars, as well as the challenging ones for the current year and adjust the feng shui cures in your home decor several days before the Chinese New Year. How can you best celebrate the Chinese New Year? It is always helpful to clean your home thoroughly, as well as use some space clearing to assure the feng shui energy in your home is clear and fresh. Traditionally, here are the main elements of the Chinese New Year celebration:

HOME DECOR. After thoroughly cleansing the home, Chinese people will decorate it with auspicious red color decor items carrying golden inscriptions with the symbols of Happiness, Longevity, Prosperity, etc. Various flowers, such as Chrysanthemum, Lucky Bamboo, Plum Blossoms and others are used in the Chinese New Year home decor according to the specific meaning of each flower. You will also see the mystic knot symbol used in numerous decor items, as well as images of many ancient gods venerated in Chinese culture, such as Guan Yu, the God of War and Justice, the Jade Emperor, as well as the very popular Kitchen God. Basically, all the efforts are directed towards creating clean and harmonious energy in your home in order to welcome the blessings of the New Year. WHAT TO WEAR. Most Chinese people will also wear new clothes for the New Year celebration to honour the birth of fresh, new energy. Many will also wear clothing in specific colors to win the favors of the ruling zodiac sign/animal of the New Year. Of course, the auspiciousness of red and gold colours are always welcomed at the Chinese New Year celebration and can be incorporated as accessories or clothing details.

FOOD. The big dinner is sure an important part of this beautiful celebration, and there is a variety of traditional dishes that are prepared specifically for the Chinese New Year. Many of these dishes are served because of their meaning and association with specific energies, as well as on specific days of this long celebration. The mandarin oranges are a must at the Chinese New Year table because they are a symbol of good luck, also called golden luck. SOCIAL CUSTOMS. The morning after the New Year's day many traditional red envelopes with a bit of money in them are given to children and friends. This symbolizes a helping hand from the older generation to the younger one, as well as wishes for prosperity and financial well-being. Small gifts are also exchanged between family members and friends. You might be familiar with the lion dance, which is often performed during the Chinese New Year in both businesses, as well as some homes. The meaning of the lion dance is to evict and neutralize all negative energy from the previous year. The firecrackers during this celebration have the same purpose of evicting the evil spirits. Traditionally, the Chinese New Year celebration lasts for 15 days with the festival of Lanterns being the culmination of this big holiday. This is the day when numerous candles are lit on the streets of Chinese communities to symbolize the coming of a fresh new light of the New Year. The beautiful sight of many red paper lanterns with a gentle flickering of fire in them is a welcoming symbol of the hopes and wishes for a beneficial New Year. As you see, the Chinese New Year is a very beautiful celebration rooted in centuries of traditions with very specific symbolic meaning. You can either use the Chinese symbolism of the elements that most appeal to you, or create your own way of celebrating and welcoming the energy of a New Year. What matters the most is that you genuinely celebrate a New Year, be it in a traditional Chinese way or not. Being genuine and sincere always wins the favor of Gods!

There are just some times when you want to play a mobile game, but you don't have the ability to play it with two hands. Anyone who's ever had to stand on a moving train going underground has had some need to play a game with just one free hand. Or maybe you just want to sit back and play something in an incredibly casual way. Whatever the reason, you need great games to play while you’re doing nothing, and here are five of the best to enjoy, even on the massive slates that are considered cell phones nowadays. 1. Pac-Man 256 While all of the games from Crossy Road developer Hipster Whale are well worth checking out, Pac-Man 256 might just be their best, taking Pac-Man and turning it into an endless game. You know how the game plays, but there are all sorts of new twists, such as power ups and ghosts with different abilities to use in order to help survive the dangerous mazes. The encroaching glitch wave must be reckoned with as well, but you can go backward to a certain degree to avoid the ghosts. They all have behaviors you can recognize and track, but they require practice and skill to effectively dodge on your way to high scores. Plus, with the many power ups to collect, you have reason to come back for a long time. This game plays perfectly with just using a thumb to swipe wherever you want to go, making it the perfect game to play on your commute. 2. Threes While it's quite possible that you know 2048 instead of this game, which came out before 2048 and features far more refined game mechanics, regardless, it's still one of the best one-handed games you can play right now. You slide the tiles on the 4x4 grid, trying to combine numbers and get as high a score as possible. Strategy really comes in to play as you have to make sure your board isn't crowded, and you aren't restricting future moves. Randomness does play a role, but it's more important to act intelligently with your moves. It's a smart game that boasts more depth than 2048 and its various clones, but also far more charm, thanks to the numbers being characters with voices and reactions to the game's events. It makes things feel much more special than they otherwise would if this was just a game with number tiles.

3. Boom Dots This game is perfect for casual play on the go. You tap anywhere to fire your dot at the bottom of the screen toward another, bigger dot at the top of the screen. Where the challenge comes in is that the top dot is moving, and you're rewarded for getting perfect hits, then chaining them together. There's a lot going on at any given time, and your dot slowly falls off of the screen, so you have to react quickly. It's a surprisingly involved game for something so simple. The mission system and unlockable themes will help keep you coming back, though the quest for an even higher score is reason enough to keep playing this slick game. It's also perfect for one-handed play while on the bus, particularly as you can get several sessions done in a short amount of time.

4. Plasma Sky While there are plenty of great shoot 'em ups on mobile, and ones that play well with one-handed controls, Plasma Sky is one of the more accessible games. It's got glowy visuals and plenty of action, with over 100 levels to conquer across several game modes. It's also plenty forgiving, with a health meter and plenty of power ups to collect, but isn't easy to beat, at all. It does everything you want from a good shoot 'em up, and it's great as a gateway to other games that will really test you. Not only is it fun for someone who might want to graduate from Galaga and Space Invaders, but it's got great one-handed controls with configurable sensitivity. It's intense action for when you can't use both hands. 5. Hue Ball This game combines some of the elements of bubble shooters with physics puzzlers, as you shoot balls into a playing field, trying to destroy them with the additional shots you have, without draining your health by having balls end up below the shot line. The game also tests you by having the balls left in the playing field constantly growing in size, so you need to deal with them as you shoot. There have been multiple games like this based on a Flash game known as Gimme Friction Baby, but this is one of the best takes on it, especially for those needing a very casual take on it.

Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show: Adam Levine And 6 band would be like thrilled to do it," Levine said. "[But] Other Artists Rumored To Be Performing At 2016 Game as far as where the rumors came from, that had nothing to do with any real conversations." Is Maroon 5 playing the Super Bowl 50 halftime show? Singer Adam Levine would say, "yes, please," but as of On Oct. 21, E! 1. Bruno Mars: Entertainment Weekly reported in September that Bruno Mars had been offered the gig coming off the singer's powerful 2014 performance, which featured the Red Hot Chili Peppers. At the time it was the most watched Super Bowl halftime ever, until Katy Perry's performance last year surpassed it. If Mars does return, it's believed he will once again be joined by other big name artists, according to Billboard. 2. Coldplay: The National Football League has also reportedly had discussions with Coldplay. E! Online said Coldplay's involvement was a rumor, but it looks like they were behind Maroon 5 on the list. 3. Adele: The British singer has been making headlines ever since she released her brand new song "Hello?" and announced her album "25" will be coming out in November. A source told Entertainment Tonight it's possible Adele could make an appearance during halftime of Super Bowl 50. "Bruno [Mars] was obsessed with having Adele join him two years ago but she wouldn’t do it," the source said. "I’m not sure if he has spoken to her yet, but it would make sense since she has an album coming out." 4. Beyoncé: If Bruno Mars is to take the stage once again, it's rumored he'd like pop superstar Beyoncé to join him on stage. A source told Entertainment Tonight "Bruno would love Beyoncé to perform again, but nothing has been said about that yet." 5. One Direction: Before the band goes on hiatus in 2016, one of their last performances could include the Super Bowl 50 halftime show. HollywoodLife.com reports the NFL has big plans for the Super Bowl halftime show and the boy band could be one of multiple acts appearing on the big stage. "The NFL is throwing its net wide to have a plethora of acts over just one," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "This is Super Bowl 50 we are talking about! They want the halftime show to have entertainers for every age group. It would not only be just them." 6. Metallica: This rumor started last February and many want to see the rock legends take the stage in their home city of San Francisco. Fans of the band have created an online petition with the goal of getting 75,000 signatures. So far over 63,000 people have signed but there hasn't been much word about the band playing the show since. Super Bowl 50 will take place Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 in San Francisco and will air on CBS.

Coldplay to Take Song Requests on Upcoming Tour "We'd ask people to give us a reason why they want us to play that song so there is a purpose behind why we play it," Chris Martin says. Coldplay embarks on their world tour in support of their A Head Full of Dreams in March, and the band is planning on employing something to reward longtime fans when they return to the stage: A request segment in the set list, where fans could dedicate tracks to loved ones or express why the song is important to them. "What we will do on this tour is almost like a request segment," Chris Martin told The Sun (via NME). "We'd ask people to give us a reason why they want us to play that song so there is a purpose behind why we play it. I think we want to make it like a passport photobooth, so you go in and say, 'I am Derek, I would like you to play 'The Hardest Part.'" In addition to highlighting their new album material, the request segment would also force Coldplay to dig a little deeper into their catalog, something they're already preparing for. "We're enjoying playing really old songs," Martin said. "This tour will finally have a set list where we feel good about it from start to finish. So for example, if we are going to play a song like 'Spies' off Parachutes, it will be lovely to play it and say, 'This is for Helen from Bolton as this reminds her of her dad.' That is a bad example and not a real one." Before Coldplay heads out on tour March 31st with the South American leg of their tour, the band will first serve as headliner of the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, taking place February 7th at Santa Clara, California's Levi's Stadium.

Pandora's Latest Direct Deal Is with Downtown Music Publishing Pandora has reached a multi-year agreement with Downtown Music Publishing, the fourth licensing deal with a music publisher in the last six weeks and the second with an independent publisher. Not only does the deal show a difference approach to licensing, it reveals further change in Pandora's relationships in the music business.

Downtown receives better compensation than it would through Pandora's licensing deals with performing rights organizations. The agreement and the two companies' statements followed the messaging of the previous three deals. The deal creates business benefits for Pandora while "modernizing compensation" for Downtown and its songwriters in the United States. Music publishers have historically been paid through Pandora's licenses with performing rights organizations such as ASCAP and BMI. Direct deals give Pandora better rate certainty as it plans the launch of an on-demand service and international expansion.
