Hobbies

Collecting is a quite popular hobby in Latvia, though at the beginning of the school year our students were offered to show off their or their families’ collections to other classmates and schoolmates. Students from the first to seventh grades actively participated in the presentations of their collections during the lessons. Due to the pandemic some presentations took place online.

During the presentations students also discussed different kinds of collections, stories behind the collections, the age and the value of the collected items. It was a great way to get to know each other better, to develop students’ presentation and communication skills and to show new ways and opportunities of leisure time activities.

Mostly collections consisted of:

 coins

 toy race cars

 toy animals

 stamps

 dolls

 football cards

 medals

Erasmus Day

We have three Erasmus projects in our school at the moment, so we decided to organize an Erasmus Day in order to popularize and actualize the aims, information and activities of the projects. The event was held in the school hall and teams

from the fifth to the ninth grades participated. The coordinators of the project presented Erasmus’s projects, then students had the Kahoot quiz about these projects, played games from the Game and Play Club (they could not play them because of the online studying last academic year).
