VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITIES
Christmas is dedicated to us, the weak human nature that shuddered because it went whole inside a manger, that rekindled hope in the darkness of a Cave in far away Bethlehem. Love for one's fellow man, especially for one who suffers, hurts, struggles and is tested, encapsulates all the true meaning of these holy days. As the God of love has befriended us with the brightest pattern, so we too these days are much more called to kiss others with love and selflessness and to bow humbly before our sacred duty to touch their lives and stop closing eyes on human suffering.
All the children responded to our call and offered food from their surplus but also offered to help families in need.
In the yard of our school there is a school garden where the children voluntarily planted various vegetables and trees and they take care of it from time to time.
The main purpose of the action was to create a school garden in the primary school with plants, vegetables, herbs and trees. In this way, the children come into contact with the cultivation of plants and trees so that they become "little farmers" who will take care of and take care of their own garden during the program.
Children still come into contact with the soil but also start to "play" and create with the earth. They also come into contact with a living organism, such as plants, and learn to take care of them, to observe them, cultivating a responsible attitude towards them. Through this activity many stimuli are given, many senses are cultivated and of course they learn and know the products of their place.
