Doors easier to add or replace

Office doors shape the look of offices and corridors alike. The coherent overall impression should also be maintained in later construction phases. Here, you benefit from our laminate surfaces. If there is an extension, the colour or decor of the new doors will match the existing ones. Compared to veneer or solid wood, wood reproductions in particular show their advantages here. Also the lightfastness of laminates is an advantage in a second construction stage or when replacing a damaged door.

Making doors cost-efficient and design-oriented

With laminates in door formats you can cost-effectively implement projects with many doors, such as hotels, without having to sacrifice design freedom. 81 decors consisting of white tones, uni colours and authentic wood and material reproductions are available from stock. Other decors from the EGGER Decorative Collection or the Industry Pool as well as individual formats are available on an order-by-order basis.

Extra-wide door formats in decorative design

Extra-wide doors, such as those found in operating theatres or patient rooms in hospitals, can be easily implemented with our 2,060 mm wide Laminate XL. The twelve available uni decors are predominantly equipped with the flat surface texture ST9 Smoothtouch Matt. In addition, a further 22 wood reproductions with Feelwood synchronised pore surface are available from stock.

Antibacterial surface property

Cleanliness and hygiene play a central role in care facilities and hightraffic public buildings. Here, the surfaces are often also subject to special cleaning and disinfection schedules. EGGER laminates score here with their antibacterial surface property according to ISO 22196 (= JIS Z 2801) and are resistant to many cleaning agents and chemicals.

The hygienically sealed and closed surfaces of laminates and further products in our Decorative Collection are 99.9 % germ and bacteria free 24 hours after being cleaned and sanitized *. This property also prevents their proliferation when cleaned regularly. This means you are on the safe side with our laminate surfaces for projects with increased hygiene requirements.

Decorative surfaces for fire doors

Schools, hospitals, hotels, shops and other public facilities place increased demands on fire protection. Our Flammex flame-retardant laminates meet the specifications of international standards. They are available on a made-toorder basis from 260 m². This corresponds to 72 laminates in the format 2,800 × 1,310 mm. Other formats are available on request. The use is not only limited to the door. Wall claddings can also be executed in the same way as the decor.

Resistant surfaces

In high-traffic buildings such as schools, doors can quickly become damaged through careless use or mishandling. Our decorative laminates in a nominal thickness of 0.80 mm score here with their abrasion, impact and scratch resistance. The resistant surfaces are available in a wide range of decors. This is the perfect way to combine design and function.

Stain-resistant surfaces

Especially where drinks and food are served, soiling on the door leaf quickly occurs. EGGER laminates are resistant to stains and forgive carelessness. Fresh contamination can usually be removed with a soft paper towel or sponge. And those who want to continue the design of the door on the worktop or tabletop also benefit from the food-safe surface of our laminates.

Matt surface with anti-fingerprint property

Nothing is currently more on-trend than matt surfaces. But fingerprints can quickly spoil the beautiful appearance. This is where the resistant laminate PerfectSense Topmatt (PT) comes into its own. Its lacquer surface stands out to its supermatt look, velvety-warm feel and its anti-fingerprint property. It creates a pleasant atmosphere, particularly in living areas. In shopfitting, it reduces disturbing light reflections.

MED-certified laminates for ship interior design

For ship interior design, we manufacture laminates in MED (Marine Equipment Directive) quality, which also meet the requirements of the IMO (International Maritime Organization). They are marked with the “steering wheel” symbol on the back. As proof of product quality, planners receive the “EC Certificate of conformity – Module D”, the “EC Type Examination Certificate – Module B” and the “Certificate of fire approval”.

As a fabricator, please request the necessary declaration of conformity alongside your order. This will be provided together with the delivery and invoice. Nothing then stands in the way of a comfortably designed cabin and an attractive ambience in the public areas of the ship.

Moisture-resistant surfaces

Due to their moisture resistance, laminates are also ideally suited for use on wet room doors. They can withstand temporarily increased humidity, splash water and wet cleaning. Windowless bathrooms and sanitary areas particularly benefit from this positive feature and can also be designed in attractive wood and material reproductions.

If you want to implement resistant doors in authentic-looking, lightfast wood designs, then choose our laminates in wood reproductions. You will feel particularly close to nature with our Feelwood synchronised pore surfaces, where the texture is synchronously adapted to the decor image.

Horizontal woodgrains

For door heights of up to two metres, our Feelwood XL laminates can also be displayed horizontally without joints thanks to their width of 2,060 mm. This is how you can create a very special look. In addition, 13 other horizontally running wood reproductions are available in door formats and in standard format. A horizontal version with the same decor is also available from stock.

Elegant lines

Do you place particular emphasis on accents and details in your projects? Then the narrow side of the door also has design potential for you. In combination with a concealed solid wood edging, the coloured core laminate picks up the colour of the door leaf and becomes an attractive contrast. Set modern accents with black handles. Dark cracks or grains in our wood reproductions combine particularly well with the trend theme of black. Coherent designs are thus skilfully realised.

Excellent for your door design. This surface combines cut florets with linear areas. Materials for doors

Due to their size, doors are an important design element in interior design and must also meet a wide range of requirements. In addition to raw chipboard and lightweight boards for the door leaf middle layer, EGGER offers a wide range of decorative laminates for coating the door leaf, the frame and the lining. Raw and coated thin chipboard and thin

MDF boards are also available for door blanks and door skins. The decors can also be combined with steel frames, which are common in the contract sector. ABS and PP edging in various dimensions is also available for edging butt doors. Find out more about the products and formats on the following pages.

Eurospan® raw chipboards

Doors with a raw chipboard middle layer have high mechanical strength. They also score with good thermal and sound insulation performance and are preferably used for functional doors, such as soundproof doors. The highquality middle layer can be decoratively coated with EGGER laminates.

Eurospan raw chipboard is available in thicknesses from 8 to 38 mm in the format 2,800 / 5,610 × 2,070 mm.

Eurolight® Lightweight Boards

Eurolight Lightweight Boards are composite boards made of wood-based material top layers enclosing a lightweight cardboard honeycomb core. For door applications, 8 mm top layers are used, into which frames can be glued subsequently. Due to their lower weight and flexural rigidity, the resourcesaving lightweight boards are particularly suitable for sliding doors. Similar to solid chipboard, the top layers can be coated with decorative laminate.

Eurolight Lightweight Boards are available in the format 2,800 / 5,610 × 2,070 mm in the thicknesses 38 and 50 mm.

For the raw thin chipboards, mainly high-quality fresh wood chips with a low bark content are used, which are pressed into a 3-layer structure. EGGER thin chipboards are available from 2.5 mm thickness in the formulas E1E05 TSCA P2 CE, JP F0.3 (F****) as well as a high-quality special formula E1E05 TSCA RAL P2 CE with ball drop test suitability, tested according to RAL quality requirements. The max. length is 6,000 mm. Widths of 1,850 mm or 2,100 mm are available.

Thin MDF E1E05 HD CE raw (production goods)

The thin E1E05 HD CE is a particularly fine, 900 kg/m³ high-density special thin MDF coreboard in accordance with EN 622-5 for highest quality lacquer or coating structures. The board is also suitable for subsequent 2D forming or embossing. Board thicknesses between 2.1 mm and 4.0 mm are available. The max. length is 6,000 mm. Production widths of 1,850 mm and 2,100 mm are available.

Thin boards with direct calender coating (production goods)

This thin board is a thin chipboard or thin MDF board coated on one side directly in the pressing process, e.g. with finishing or priming foil. The reverse side is available sanded or unsanded. The thickness spectrum ranges from 2.7 mm to 8 mm. Widths of 1,850 mm and 2,100 mm are available. The maximum length is 1,900 m (roll) or 8 m on pallet. Individual raw fixed dimensions are also available.

Eurodekor ® Thin Chipboard (production

Eurodekor Thin Chipboards are melamine faced chipboards on one side in the formulas E1E05 TSCA P2 CE, E1E05 TSCA RAL P2 CE or JP F0.3 (F****). They are available in 3 mm and 4 mm thickness. Laminate formats

EGGER laminates prove true greatness, especially when it comes to format. From the EGGER Decorative Collection, 81 decors are available in the door formats 2,150 × 950 mm and 2,150 × 1,020 mm, with minimal waste. For higher or wider door leaves, these and many other decors in the collection are also available in the standard size 2,800 × 1,310 mm. Extra-wide doors can be realised with our laminates XL in the format 2,790 × 2,060 mm. The nominal thickness of 0.80 mm ensures high impact resistance for all dimensions. Decors from the Industry Pool, other laminate qualities and individual formats are available on an order-by-order basis.

The abbreviations CPL (Continuously Pressed Laminate) and HPL (High Pressure Laminate) are often used in connection with laminates for doors. These provide information about the production process. The laminate structure and the resins used are comparable. The product properties and requirements to be tested in accordance with the standard are also equally obligatory for CPL and HPL and ensure high product quality in both manufacturing processes.

Laminates with a coloured core consist of several layers of the same decorative impregnate and can be ideally combined with solid wood glues. With W1001 ST9, Solid Premium White is available in both door formats. This decor and other colours are also available from stock in standard format.

Door size laminates PerfectSense® Topmatt (PT)

PerfectSense Topmatt laminates set special visual and haptic accents. They are characterised by their super-matt, velvety-warm surface with anti-fingerprint property. The lacquer surface is resistant to abrasion, impact and scratches.

Laminates Flammex (production goods)

Flammex laminates are classified as type F = flameretardant in accordance with the standard. They are suitable as decorative and low-flammability coating material in combination with flame-retardant coreboards. Combinations with corresponding composite elements enable applications with increased requirements for fire resistance.

Flammex laminates are available to order from 72 pieces in the format 2,800 × 1,310 × 0,8 mm (other formats upon request).

PerfectSense Matt laminates are particularly suitable for vertical applications and can be produced in all EGGER decors. For an individual colour design, this subsequently paintable laminate is the right choice. It is available in white and black. RAL or NCS colours can therefore be easily applied. From a minimum quantity of 260 m², both format and roll goods are available in various nominal thicknesses.

Compact laminates sanded on one side (production goods)

The compact laminate sanded on one side is particularly suitable for subsequent, flat bonding as a door skin. The sanded underside ensures a good adhesive result. They are available in 2, 3 and 4 mm in format 5,600 × 2,060 mm (from 40 pieces) and half-format 2,790 × 2,060 mm (from 80 pieces). ABS edging

For edging butt-hinged doors, we also offer you matching edging solutions for all EGGER laminates. The following formats are available: 43 × 0.8 and 43 × 2.0 as well as 54 × 2.0 mm. The roll length is 75 m. You can create doors as if from a single mould or in accentuated designs by matching the door leaf and edging in terms of colour, texture and gloss level. The wide range of edging in the EGGER Decorative Collection offers solutions for all your design wishes.

PP edging (production goods)

EGGER PP edging is made of polypropylene and homogeneously dyed throughout. It meets the demand for materials with high chemical and solvent resistance. The edging surface is sealed with UV-cured synthetic resin lacquer. A universal bonding agent (primer) is applied to the reverse side. PP edging is available in thicknesses between 0.4 mm and 3.2 mm. We produce bespoke edging upon request based on the client’s edge and board templates, as well as wood-based material surfaces.

Matt surface

They are very much in vogue for furniture and appear luxurious and high-quality. In addition, they inspire with their special look and feel. With our matt textures, the door now also becomes an eye-catcher.

This resistant surface is preferably used for uni colours.

Gives both uni colours and wood reproductions a very natural feel, and follows the trend towards matt finishes.

Material and metal textures

A smooth, even surface with reduced gloss. It provides elegance on uni colours and wood reproductions.

Reproductions of stone and metal are becoming increasingly important. These decors are given the desired authenticity and character through the appropriate texture.

It has a plastered look, containing both deep and raw, smooth and glossy elements. This emphasises the material character of the decor.

This texture was developed to enhance decors reproducing real materials. It gives the pearlescent and metallic decors the look and feel of finely polished metal.

Deepskin Rough

An authentic texture for natural, striking and rustic decors, perfect for wood reproductions.

Only the right texture makes a woodgrain reproduction stand out. Our woodgrain textures are created with matt-gloss effects, gently brushed pores, light hollows or a natural appearance.

An all-over pore finish, with irregular distribution and pores of various depth, which give the surface a natural appearance. A light sub-texture provides a velvet touch.

It combines cut flowered sections with linear areas. The matt and gloss woodgrain of the texture gives the decor an exciting yet natural overall appearance. On calm and lightly-planked wood reproductions, it looks as if it is synchronised.

The texture is synchronously adapted to the impression cylinder of the Gladstone Oak, enhancing its sandblasted character.

The name Feelwood already suggests the visual and sensory experience and therefore the added value offered by these textures. Thanks to the perfect coordination of texture and decor, these textures look and feel almost like veneer or solid wood.

The Feelwood Crafted texture displays an interplay of matt and light-gloss elements. The matt and softly brushed pore gives the surface a beautiful reflective nature, resulting in a very natural look that shines with a pearlescent effect.

It has been synchronised with the decor image of the Sherman Oak. Its reclaimed or used wood look is particularly in demand. The visual damage and markings in the wood are accentuated by the synchronised pore texture.

This texture exhibits a deeply brushed yet very natural, matt character that gives wood reproductions an extremely authentic feel.

This texture showcases the authentic look of a solid wood surface. Its texture is synchronised with the decor series Halifax Oak, which features deep and tactile cracks.

The texture features a brushed softwood finish with a highquality mother-of-pearl effect made of matt and gloss elements. Uni colours in combination with this texture look like painted or lacquered solid wood.

To continually improve our environmental performance in the production process, we are opting for internationally certified energy and environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 50001, ISO 14001 and EMAS.

Consumer / Product Environmental Performance Assessments

We provide full transparency with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). They provide professionals with important information on environmental and health aspects, and are also available to interested end-users –for each of our base products.

We recycle waste wood in our production of woodbased materials. It comes from disposed goods such as furniture, pallets or packaging material. In this way we conserve fresh resources and extend the effect of CO₂ storage.

Use of sawmill by-products

We prefer to buy by-products from regional and certified sawmills. By using by-products we save natural resources.

Sustainable forestry

We support the sustainable development goals of the UN. With SDG 15, we are committed to the protection and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems and to promoting the sustainable management of forests. Our wood comes from 100 % verified legal and controlled sources according to ISO 38200. We buy roundwood preferably from FSC®, PEFC or SFI certified forests in the purchasing region.

Renewable energy

We convert heat into green electricity in our own biomass power plants. The biomass and wood residues can no longer be used as materials in production.
