DARIEN BLESSING PROCEEDS WITHOUT FESTIVAL Darien’s Blessing of the Fleet Boat Parade will be held on Sunday, April 18th at the Darien River Bridge and Waterfront at 2:00 p.m. As per annual tradition, the boats and their captains will be blessed for a safe and prosperous 2021 season. Darien’s Blessing of the Fleet is the largest on the East Coast and will be aired live on the Darien Telephone Company local channel and on Facebook. Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the typical festival held on Friday & Saturday to accompany has been postponed until September 17-18. The September festival will celebrate the Bounty of the Fleet and feature all the live music, fireworks, kids activities, classic car show, arts & crafts, food vendors, and more that you love.
