SERENDIPPO, così era chiamato anticamente lo Sri Lanka. Si narra che tre principi di questo paese si erano messi in viaggio alla ricerca di cose che non riuscivano mai a trovare, ma ne scoprivano altre del tutto inattese. Molte volte alle grandi scoperte si arriva per strade contorte, magari inseguendo risultati che non raggiungeremo mai; ma una grande capacità di osservazione e uno spirito acuto ci aprono nuovi orizzonti, prospettando soluzioni inimmaginabili. Allo stesso modo le storie ci portano in luoghi della mente che non avremmo esplorato se non vi ci fossimo giunti per caso, attraverso letture stimolanti. E non avremmo scoperto la possibilità di far rivivere una storia e di colorarla, liberando la fantasia e reinventandola a nostro piacere. In un gioco a rimpiattino, il percorso narrativo si fa coinvolgente e imprevedibile!
Dieci fiabe per altrettanti luoghi della Valle d’Aosta, talvolta angoli inusuali oppure molto conosciuti, ma sempre interpretati da Giorgio Enrico Bena in modo personale e suggestivo per suggerire atmosfere fantastiche e misteriose. In ciascuna di queste località sono ambientate le storie e si muovono i personaggi reali e immaginari che popolano le fiabe della tradizione valdostana. Buona lettura! SERENDIPPO is the ancient name for Sri Lanka. Legend has it that three princes sallied forth from this country in search of something they never succeeded in obtaining. They did, however, discover other entirely unexpected things. Frequently, great discoveries come via a convoluted route, often while we are pursuing an unattainable goal. But great observation skills and quick wit can open up new horizons, proffering unimaginable solutions. Similarly, stories lead us to places of the mind that we would never have explored if we hadn’t journeyed there by chance - by way of stimulating reading. And we wouldn’t have discovered how to make a story come to life and embellish it to our liking, setting our imagination free and reinventing it at will. In a game of hide and seek, the narrative becomes captivating and unpredictable!
Ten tales and ten locations in the Aosta Valley, some of them are unfamiliar corners and some are well-known, but all of them have been interpreted by Giorgio Enrico Bena in a personal and suggestive manner to create a fantastical and mysterious atmosphere. Each story is set in one of these locations where the real and fictional characters found in traditional tales from the Aosta Valley act out their part. Enjoy your read!
