What began as a bold initiative to map all festivals in the Netherlands has, over the past 15 years, evolved into an essential reference found on the desks of live entertainment professionals across the Netherlands and Belgium. The first physical edition of the EB Live Festival Guide was launched in January 2010 during the Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) Conference. The response from both readers and advertisers was overwhelmingly positive. “This was the publication the festival world had been waiting for.”
No one could have predicted that, 15 years later, we would still be talking about this guide. The defining moment was when an advertiser referred to the EB Live Festival Guide not as a guide, but as the ‘festival bible.’ The challenges in the festival industry are well known, but despite these obstacles, we manage to produce a new edition every year, thanks to the support of our partners. A few years ago, we added a digital version, which has been widely embraced. However, many readers continue to prefer the physical edition. Each year, this reference guide is embraced by 7,500 industry professionals, including more than 1,000 festival and event organizations, as well as event venues, artist agencies, suppliers, and other key players, and we are incredibly proud of that.

Our ambition is clear. We want the EB Live Festival Guide to be the go-to publication for industry professionals. The 2025 edition marks the start of what we hope will be another incredible festival season, despite the many challenges we face.

PRILPOP FESTIVAL
Prilpop is an free, 4-day pop festival that takes place every year during the Easter weekend. This festival takes place in and around OJC Walhalla in Sevenum.

Paaspop (during the Easter weekend) in Schijndel is the most beautifully decorated festival in Europe! PINKPOP
Pinkpop is the oldest and only ‘uninterrupted’ outdoor pop festival in Europe. Over the years, the threeday festival has been visited by over 2.9 million unique visitors. The festival site is Megaland, located in the south of the Netherlands, near the German border. Pinkpop has five stages, a festival market and three campsite areas (with a total capacity of 45,000 people). Many performers started their international career at Pinkpop.
