The number of turtles keep decrasing IBP
Denpasar – Turtles as the protected animal need to be conserved in order to prevent them from extinction. Turtle Conservation and Education Center in Serangan village is exactly doing that. In addition to give education regarding turtles to the young generation, the conservation center is also giving turtles for all villages in Bali for the need of ceremonies. However, there is some drawbacks face by the center in the past few months. It is lacking of fund and the number of turtle newborn or tukik is also decreasing rapidly. What is
the current condition of the conservation center which was established in 2005? International Bali Post has the chance to get a closer look on the center on Wednesday, March 10th 2010. The turtle conservation and education center is located in Banjar Pojok, Serangan, southern of Denpasar. Continued on page 6
Mayors candidates posters put down Denpasar (Bali Post) –
The PDI-P party is started to put down the poster of their candidates in the next mayor election which will be held in May 2010. The party which supported the candidate I.B.Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra-IGN Jaya Negara is wanted to clean the city from all election materials before Nyepi day. I Gusti Ngurah Gede, the head of PDI-P branch Denpasar, said that the party had ordered to put down all the election attributes. “We already told the entire party member to put down the attributes,” he added.
