Two more people drowned in Uluwatu. After Made Riano Rama Satya died on Saturday, May 16th 2010, Lai Chai Ho, a Chinese tourist and Angelina Marschenco from Russia was found dead on the beach. Lai Chai Ho was drowned in Nusa Ceningan beach on Monday, May 17th 2010. Based on the pre-
liminary investigation, Lai was drowned during snorkeling activities. Dudut Rustyadi, the head of
Forensic Division in Sanglah Hospital, said that there are only small wound on the elbow but the main
cause of death is the liquid in his lungs which was cause by drowning. The body will be taken to China after the autopsy. While Angelina was died in Serangan beach on Tuesday, may 18th 2010. Currently the body is in Sanglah Hospital and waited to be autopsied. (san)

The visit of United States President, Barack Obama, hand great opportunity to the people of Bali in particular and the citizen of Indonesia. The visit by the President who once studied in Menteng, Jakarta will affect the number of tourists visited Bali. Obama’s visit can increase the number of tourists come to Bali and it will also develop Bali’s economics which is highly depend on tourism sector. However, the visit by Obama must be well prepared and the first priority must be in term of security.

The security is essential in the visit by a President. It also could become the basic judgment for the people who want to visit Bali. By paying the attention on security details, the guest will fell safe and comfortable in his stay in Bali Others can conclude that all important guests who visit Bali will be given the similar treatment with Obama. Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, the head of Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Bali, said “Security must be given the most attention but if it possible, the security must contains Balinese values so Obama can feel that he is in Bali.”
Tjokorda Sukawati who often called Cok Ace, explained that the Balinese styles security can be created by including the traditional security officers or Pecalang in maintaining the security during Obama visit. Even tough the pecalang is not placed in ring I or next to the president but the presence of pecalang will attract the attention of Obama. The president never sees the similar security officers in his country so he will want to know more about it. Giving the Balinese style can be started when Obama get out of the plane. Traditional Balinese dance can be performed during at that time
and the local officers who welcome him to Bali should also wear traditional Balinese clothes. Penjor must also being placed on the road pass by the President. The penjor place is not penjor for religious purpose but penjor for cultural purpose. “We should not place any banners because it will not reflect the culture of Bali,” Cok Ace said. He also explained his experience when welcoming President to Puri Ubud, Gianyar. Cok Ace always emphasize on Balinese culture started from the clothes to the food served to the President. “We wanted to give the sense of Bali o the guest,” he added. (sub)
