Consumption of water at Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) is too high. Just imagine, every day a hotel at this resort averagely uses 1,300 m3 of clean water for various needs. This number equals to the demand of water for 1,300 families. Water usage can drastically soar when the occupancy of hotel increases. Even, it can require 2,500-3,000 m3 per day.
Indonesia Condemns Israeli Policy in Jerusalem
Such number of clean water consumption is based on the description of Badung Municipal Waterworks (PDAM). Director of General Affairs of PDAM Badung, I Made Subarga Yasa, accompanied by KSPI, Komang Tapa Sila Laras, last Friday (Oct 16), said the provider of
clean water to South Kuta area and BTDC was PT Tirta Artha Buana Mulia located at Kedonganan. In this regard, PDAM Badung only served as supplier of raw water for PT Tirta Artha Buana Mulia where the latter then distributed it to hotels. Continued on page 6

Jakarta - The Indonesian government has condemned the Israeli policy to restrict Palestinians’ access to Muslim shrines in East Jerusalem. “Indonesia condemns the Israeli policy to impose restrictions on Palestinians in East Jerusalem. The policy violates the freedom of worship because it blatantly obstructs Palestinians’ access to holy sites, including Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Indonesian Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Dian Triansyah Djani said at a special session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva recently.
