Tulip is a very pleasant and a light hearted magazine. The best thing about it is the variety and the type of information. You find a lot of Bollywood gossip, new things in the city and unique feature stories. The articles which are seasonal are very informative and refreshing. A superficial read through the magazine in itself will yield you a lot. Arun Tadepalli, Writer

A fine dine and pure vegetarian restaurant by Rajdhani group, serving north Indian, Italian and Chinese is a place to be to experience a gastronomically journey. The menu, the food, and the presentation show the research and hard work behind the gourmet experience they offer. Ambience is one of the first things you notice when you enter a restaurant. Soft lighting has long been associated with elegance, every detail has been specifically worked on, and even their cutlery as they claim is ‘Pure Vegetarian’. The restaurant that has been divided in two parts, the restaurant and cafe for those who prefer a little more informal experience, they also have cabins for private gatherings. They say we eat with our eyes first. Presentation is taking on a lot of importance in fine dining, Soup to Mocktails, Main Course to Desserts no effort was left behind to make our experience a good one. We started off with ‘Smoked tomato And Basil soup’ and ‘Roasted Beetroot and Orange Segments’ salad never tasted this exotic and luscious. Moving over to appetizer ‘Kamalkadi Ke Galouti’ is an absolute winner. This mouth melting Galouti can give the authentic galouti some real completion. ‘Smoked Pesto Paneer Tikka’ is a feast to eyes as much as to taste buds. It’s roasted cottage cheese, which is a result perfectly marinated spices. In Main course we tasted ‘Jain Sizzler’ which is a combination of sautéed vegetables with buttered rice and rosemary sauce with chunks of grilled Paneer. Dal Makhani with Nanza, as the name suggests is like a desi Pizza that you can enjoy alone as much as with any other gravy. They also have Olive Naan, Kulcha and Parthas in flavours you must try. We enjoyed our drinks like Aam Panna and also got try this unique ‘Hot Tody’ which is perfect to end your meal on a winter night. Desserts are sinfully delightful, their Chocolate ‘Mousee’ and ‘Tres Leche’ which comes with a cotton candy is fun for adults as much as for children’s. Central Perk
All the Friends Fan have reason to rejoice as their favourite show has come alive in the form of this new place in the city. Not exactly a hard core coffee place as in the show, but a definite lounging place with your friends. The decor has been kept similar to the one form show even with the big couch where people are already spamming the social media with. It has to have a Hyderabadi touch so the menu offers all that you need to fulfil your carvings form chicken 65 to chicken kebabs. They have some really refreshing drinks and is a perfect place to chill and enjoy the most of the winter evenings. Like they say “Joey doesn’t share food”, but they clearly do! So head to central Perk in Hyderabad this weekend and make your own memorable moments with your friends. Location: 5th Floor Indraprasth, Road 12, Banjara Hills. Ph: 9000967960, 9885958314

Little Things
It’s a pretty patisserie, with a lot to indulge in. Their signature coffee is all about ‘Filter Kappi’ we love with their ‘Malibu- Copycat’ a refreshing twist to kaapi with coconut, and a definite must try. We also tried their ‘Salted Caramel’ a pure mix of kaapi and caramel, it’s a reward to your taste buds especially those who love caramel. They also have a wide range of detox tea for all those health conscious people who wouldn’t mind a little flavour, after all why comprising on spending some leisure time with friends just to avoid an indulgence. Their ‘cookies – peanut butter, sesame, and chocochip’ are crisp and great to take home as well, don’t forget to share though. It’s not just a patisserie; they also have savouries to fill you up really quickly. Form burger to pasta, freshly baked croissants and wraps, their stuff is packed with flavour and nippy to grab on the go. The Matter of Batter
‘The Matter of Batter’ comes from the persistence to make the most scrumptious desserts and cakes. This venture by Ria Girri, whose passion turned into fulltime profession is giving us a sweet something to enjoy. ‘My desire is to create the perfect combinations of flavours and spread the joy of ultimate satisfaction. My goal is to strike a chord in one’s soul with just the first bite. When I see that satisfied smile on my client’s face as they indulge in goodness, I know I have done my job well.’ The place is cute with floral details and looks a part of French lanes filled with patisseries. The cups are what will make you want to order coffee, their flavoured teas are a must try, we loved the strawberry, the taste of which lingered even after we finished it. It’s a dessert cum savoury place where you will find something to balance your sweet tooth overload. From Variety of cakes to freshly baked breads, Cheesecakes, brownies, cupcakes, muffins, buns and pound cakes. Try their cakies, which are chewy cookie sandwich and variety of Quiche and sandwiches from savoury part. Location: Shop No. A3, Delta Seacon, Road No. 11, Banjara Hills. Ph: 9985636711

In Appetizer we had ‘Meen Rawa Fry’ which was spicy and crispy, ‘Golli Bajje’ with an array of chutneys kept us full until the main course arrived, We also tried ‘Chicken Ghee Roast; as the name suggests cooked in pure ghee and rich in flavours. The Main Course offered ‘Kori Gassi’ which had coconut as elemental flavour. ‘Massa Ajadina’ which is a lamb delight leaves spicy flavour lingering in your mouth and paired perfectly with rotti or kal dossa. Marwari food festival at Sheraton Hyderabad
Rajasthan is one state in India that represents colours, heritage and rich food. So when we were for ‘Marwari food festival’ at Sherton Hyderabad, uniquely planed by their head chef, Sumit kedia, who originally belongs to the land of flavours himself, we were more than happy. Marwari food is one of the most scrumptious offering as part of north Indian cuisine; you just have to treat your taste buds the authentic way. The ambiance and staff (dressed in traditional Marwari clothing) both added to the feel of ongoing fest. There were live counters and a lavish buffet spread with an array of Marwari and Rajputana Delicacies. Since Marwari food is mainly vegetarian, chef added few authentic Rajput dishes to cater the non vegetarian’s as well (the buffet also offers few regular dishes, which I doubt you will bother over the special menu) we really like the ‘Palak Chaat’, ‘Kachori’, ‘Papdi Chat’, they also had‘Moong Dal Chilva’ and ‘Dosa’. While I sipped on some ‘Thandai’ chef sent us the next course of the meal. They also served ‘Dal Bhati Churma’ and ‘Lal Maas’. Dal Bhati was good and lal maas was exceptional, the spicy dish accompanied with some ‘Bajre Ki Roti’ brought back memories of Rajasthan. We also tried ‘Ker sangria’, ‘Kadhi pakodi’, ‘Gatte ki sabji’out of which we really liked the tangy ker sangria. Coming to desserts, ‘Ghevar’ ‘Gulab jamun’ ‘Jalebis’ ‘Moong Dal Halwa’ ‘Malpua’ ‘Gulab Jamun’ were accompanied by ‘Balushahi’ ‘Gujiya’ and just like buffet they had some really good chocolate mousse and other desserts to try as well. 20 DECEMBER, 2016 - TULIP

She is Eccentric and unconventional in a good way! Unnati has a few pretenses’ guidelines by which she lives her life and that constitutes her. She believes in being punctual, organized and meticulous in all aspects of her life. Unnati’s adventures with traveling, her experiences with having a family and her growth as an architect add up to the person she has become. She loves herself, for who she is. Every day is a thrill, every design is a drama and every step she takes is different!
Tell us a little about how the idea of being an Architect? I hail from a Defense background, which meant moving houses every three years. Living in a new house, be it modern or a 100 year old colonial bungalow, gave me the thrill and excitement to do up the place with my Mom every time we moved. Since I could remember, I have always aspired to build and develop the existing be it houses, objects or apparels. Hence, began the journey and like a horse with blinkers I followed the path to be where I am today. How has the journey been by far? My real journey as an architect and an interior designer started when I got back from the UK after 5 blissful years of traveling around the Continent. Upon my return, I worked with my mentor for a year and then decided to take a giant leap and start working on my own. Well, that was the plan, when I also decided to build my own house which 22 DECEMBER, 2016 - TULIP
is when I realized that Design is just not what it looks like but how it functions. Details are what make the Design. Striving for finishes & colors has enhanced my Design sensibilities. The journey since then has been fruitful and rewarding. I have grown into a company and am now known as Unnati Pingle Design Studio. As a designer, I have always believed that whatever the shell may be, it possesses the scope to recreate drama, re-energize the environment and re-invent strategically aesthetic appealing spaces to serve the current requirements. This notion has enhanced my journey into pursuing a Masters Degree in Historic Building Conservation and led me to believe that my forte lies in renovation. I do a lot of residences, small commercial spaces & resorts! As a designer, I have discovered my skill-set via my travels and varied experiences which, I consciously intend to contribute to the design sense in the city.

or the day runs you”. I strongly believe that for every minute spent in organizing an hour is earned (by Benjamin Franklin). So, here I am juggling between being a home-maker, a mother, a baker, an architect and a travel explorer. Being organized is being in control! My days are always planned a day before with very little room for error. However, no complaints if I get lucky with some free time on hand! I take great pleasure in what I do, thus life is a joy. Your morning, evening and weekend routine for the day? Coffee followed by couple of hours at the Gym or a run at KBR gives my day a flying start. Kids to school and managing my staff at home bring me to my Studio which is conveniently located in my premises. Depending on my pre-determined schedule at the studio, site and client meetings follow. I try and decamp by 4pm, which is when my kids return from school. Taking them for their activities and attending social gatherings engage me for the rest of the evening. Weekdays are such! Almost every weekend we pack off to our Farm House, if not traveling. What do you do in your leisure time if you are not working? Traveling! Or my other interest from Designing, Baking. I also run baking business called Sprinkled Up. I shuffle work between the two companies. How do you manage your work and personal life? As Jim Rohn said, “Either you run the day
Tell us something about your family? My family, my significant little world is my husband Karthik, my two kids Karun, Kavya and our pets Zara, Elsa & Lika. My Husband is an Orthopedic Surgeon at Apollo. So his days and most of the evenings are busy. Whenever we get time as a family, we try to spend it together playing board games or traveling or doing nothing. There is certain revelry in doing nothing at times. Considering we all are busy fulfilling our dreams and responsibilities as individuals the rest of the day. How is your usual day at work? It is aptly said that an Architect is a problem solver, collaborator, listener and a leader. A ‘day at work’ wouldn’t be able to accommodate all of that. It’s the life I live! It’s a lifestyle that I’ve chosen! Thus, answering your question, my usual work hours vary depending on my comfort level, for this reason making work barely stressful, rather enjoyable and fun for me. labor, collaborate design work amongst my employees, listen to everyone and finally take a call on what has to be implemented. What is next for you? Next is GO SLOW. My kids are growing up. They need my time and attention. I plan to choose my work wisely and try to judiciously spend my time with my family. As someone wise once said, “You define what is important to you by what you dedicate your time to”. What according to you are the most trending style people are opting for in their homes? I think people are now realizing that warmth and display of their personality in the design of their homes is more important than “a style” that is trending in the market. I, as a designer believe that every home should reflect the identity of the owner or the occupant. In simple words, we are going back to the basics. Unpretentious, Organic way for design is the call of the day!
Rapid fire Your most embarrassing moment? When I overbook my appointments and then I need my army of staff to handle it for me; be it domestic or professional. Where would you take your next holiday to? Maldives or Koh Samui any day! Soundest advice you have received by far? To pursue my passion and the rest will follow and that is exactly what I am doing. There is a lot of hard work but the results are overwhelming. One thing that cheers you up immediately? My Kids! Craziest thing you have done by far? The Inca Trail. Your strength? Of course, my family and my staff. Funniest Compliment you have ever received? A vendor once thought I was too young to be The Unnati Pingle. I thought that was funny! He must have heard of me from other vendors in the market. Quick advice for young and budding Entrepreneurs? I would advise them to be punctual and humble. I was always interested in doing something creative as my mind was cut out for it, so i decided to start an event management company. We at the Touché deal with all kinds of events, be it weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, theme parties, anniversary parties, kitty parties, opening ceremonies, shop and office decors, festive celebrations and new year and much more. Tell us what one should look for while finalising or approaching a wedding planner? The wedding planner’s ability to give fresh concept, excellent service, and capacity to handle large number of people. When I find out about these things from my client in the first meeting, I prepare a presentation with two or three options of the designs, mostly prepared in Photoshop. Then the selection is made jointly by the client and me after discussing various factors and important elements. How do you choose the location/venue for a particular event? The crucial factors are number of people expected, theme decided for the occasion, and the client’s budget. Based on these factors I look into few options and after personally going through all details I zero in one that meets our requirement. Have you ever had to plan more than one event simultaneously? We always do more than one event at a time with great ease. But we restrict it to only two a day. That way we can maintain the quality of our

I think the nightlife in Hyderabad is improving with some nice places opening up. The options have increased now. What are your New Year plans? I might be working during New Years Eve but if I’m not I might go on a mini vacation with my friends. It’ll be a nice break from work. What is a thing you dislike about the city party scene? It’s a little annoying when people get out of control and try to make a scene out of nothing. Also probably the curfew time could be extended a bit. Your to go party attire? What I wear totally depends on my mood. Usually I like wearing a nice comfortable dress. I also like wearing jumpsuits. If it’s a simple dress I like to team it up with some good accessories. Stags are not allowed! Do you think it’s unfair? I think this rule has been applied for a reason. I’m neither with it nor against it. It totally depends on the place and what rules they have to follow. What kind of music do you like? Again it totally depends on my mood.. I like listening to EDM, Pop, R&B and sometimes I like going to a place where there’s live music.

MAKE America
GREAT
AGAIN
Since the time of the US election campaign, for electing the 45th President started to shape and the nominees for the American Presidential election were rife between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, I was very eloquent in my stand for supporting Clinton. Through the election campaigns and speeches made by both the candidates, Clinton appeared to be a more promising candidate as compared to the politically inexperienced Business tycoon, Donald Trump. Trump, all along has appeared to me, to be a repugnant man who would be an unfit leader, to lead the most powerful country in the World. The Business man is a sexual predator, racist, misogynist and considers climate change to be a hoax and on so many levels has disgusted me with his bigot remarks. Such a man unfortunately won the elections over Clinton and became the President- elect and brought along with him, a state of ‘global uncertainty’ and a terrorizing future for India.
Ritika Matta Msc Psychology Student
The line that was most commonly used in the Presidential campaign of Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton was “Make America Great Again”. Though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, it was Trump who made the cut. Republican candidate, Donald J. Trump won the U.S Presidential elections 2016, which made a few happy and many sad. New York City witnessed many protests. The reactions from the celebrities after the Presidential election were ranging from protest by singer Lady GaGa, pop singer Miley Cyrus was left into tears, Chris Evans tweeted says that it was ‘an embarrassing night for America’ and Chrissy Teign went on to say that “If your ears are burning, that’s everyone in the entire world laughing at us.’ Well, these were just a few of the anti-Trump reactions. The Presidential Elections on US 2016 was non-arguably the most controversial political campaigns in the modern American history. United States of America has now their President-elect, Donald J. Trump, coming into office soon. He’s got a lot of things in store for not only the U.S but also for the world. What’s Indian youth’s take on the Presidentelect Donald Trump? Read on to know... 36 DECEMBER, 2016 - TULIP
Few days before election, there was a talk about who will win US elections among Indian Investors. Different investors had different views of the impact of the next US President in India-US relations and the performance of the stock market. During the presidency of Obama, India witnessed many new trade agreements which no one expected to happen. All the credit for these agreements was given to Obama-Singh-Modi. When Modi Government came into power, PM Modi took many bold steps which further improved the relationship between the world’s two biggest and oldest democracies. During one of the speeches, Donald Trump mentioned that, “he will declare Pakistan a terrorist state”. So, there is a confidence among the officials and government that trump policies will help India to expose Pakistan globally and US will help to solve the problem of valley. Trump wants to put stricter Immigration rules which will hamper millions of Indians working in US. But, at the same time, Trump also mentioned that he wants to woo Indian entrepreneurs and students to US. It is verily early to judge the policies which (President) Trump will bring in US. But, it is very clear from the words of PM Modi and Donald Trump about each other’s work that Indian economy will see some changes.
Jai Jain Business Student
FEATURE Republican and US President, Donald J Trump may seem racist and sexist to many. After his vulgar statements and offensive remarks, trump still won, with 306 electoral votes. At a convention in New Jersey in the month of October, back then, Presidential candidate Donald Trump said, “I have great respect for Hindus. They are great people, amazing entrepreneurs.” With Trump in power, although India being on good terms with the united States, Trump did speak about stealing jobs and outsourcing which will affect the Indian IT industry. His presidency could also take a tougher stance on China and might just be the beginning of a trade war. Trumps presidency, so far, does not seem to be a threat to India. The Trump empire also has two projects of building super luxury apartments in Bombay and Pune with two groups. Business ties in India can grow in the future, whether Trump is still the President or not.
Natasha Wendy Dsilva As per Harvard research, Indian economy will grow with the rate of 7% throughout 2024. India Will be the fastest-Growing economy for Coming Decade, Harvard researchers Predict. So, I believe US and other developed economy will take leverage of such a huge growing economy.
Student and Writer
The Visa Policy - It could get trickier for the Indians to get work visas as Trump’s stand against India is not unequivocal. The Foreign Policy - It will be expected that Trump will renegotiate the trade treaties and policies with India. There could be a new relationship brewing between the two countries. What exactly will it be, only time can tell! Tax cuts - Trump has also contemplated about reducing the corporate tax rate which will bring back the focus of the American Companies which could mean that India would stand to lose in this case. But, this time, there’s a new US President and how he maintains India-US ties is to be seen. His actions will speak louder than his words. He spoke good about India is positive to start with, at least. The impact, directly or indirectly, Trump will have on India and IndiaUS ties is rather not very clear at this stage.
AnushkaAgarwal Business Student
What turned out to be a shock for many across the world also sparked a light for hope for some; yes this is with reference to U.S. Presidential election. The president elect, in his aggressive yet rhetoric election campaign has suggested his stand for his foreign policy which sounded like a nightmare for many emerging nations turned out to be a sweet tone for India, the next super power in decades to come. Trump’s manifesto suggests increased public spending which is a clue for interest rate hike, tough moves on terrorism and reviewed relations with China etc. Apart from increased public spending, all the other promises made are in favor of India as a nation. These moves of Trump suggest a strong strategic alliance with India. In the long run, this will help India to obtain its NSG license which is being objected by China. The common stand of both the nations to curb terrorism is yet another “me too” object in the action plans of both the nations. On the investment side the speculations of the interest rate hike will pull the FII money back to USA but, India as an investment story sounds as a huge potential for many investors. Trump’s policy for IT sounds gloomy for the Indian IT sector but, on the Pharma front his policy is a sigh of relief. The appreciation of Trump for the fast growing south Asian economies which was regarded by Aditya Malhotra in the article, “What Donald Trump thinks about India” suggests, he believes in the growth story of these economies and will surely invest in it. This brings about a speculation that will Trump be India’s Trump Card, which, will be revealed only as the time passes.

Bringing a
Thousands of memes took over the social media and comments and likes kept pouring in, right after the shocker by Prime Minister-Narendra Modi on Tuesday. In one of the most historical reforms of the economy of India, Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were banned and replaced with new notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000. This step towards a corrupt free nation garnered mixed reactions of people coming from different walks of life. With the sensex on a bungee jumping spree and never ending queues outside banks, we find out what our very own Hyderbadis have in mind.
I, although support the ban on Rs 500 & Rs 1000 notes and believe that in the long run it will bring some positive outcomes but in short term it has certainly affected my daily life. For instance, we had run out of gas cylinder in our flat but neither I nor two of my flat mates had the legal Rs 500 (we had the old notes) note to make a purchase of the same; hence making it difficult to make payment to the auto wala, gas wala etc. Also, another point that I experienced was in case you get lucky enough to get to a point where you are able to take out cash from ATM you are troubled again if there is a requirement to take out cash more than Rs 2000, due to the limit of Rs 2000 put on taking out cash. Aparajita Das Gupta Global Client Acquisition Executive 38 DECEMBER, 2016 - TULIP
I think, it’s a great move by the government against black money. Yes, we did face difficulty in buying daily necessities for a day or two. Being a student, it becomes really difficult to travel to any place because now even Ola and Uber have stopped accepting these notes, but I believe, we can bear little inconvenience for a larger good. However, one question that’s lurking in my mind is, how is the center going to look into the problems of the rural sector who don’t own an ID or a bank account? Disha Gupta Student of Journalism
FEATURE Being in the business sector, I think, we have had the greatest blow but this step towards eradicating corruption in our nation is phenomenal and I believe Modiji is definitely going to make a difference. I have already got the new notes, they have chips fitted inside to curb the making of fake notes and stop the revenue of black money. It’s true that it has caused several problems since there are huge queues outside banks and not everyone is carrying change with them but eventually everything will fall into place and we need to understand that the PM has taken this step after consultation with eminent economists. Milan Sengupta Business Executive
Every Indian was almost aware of the new 2000 rupee note that was circulating on social media, every common man was wondering about this madness of Modiji of ensuring a bank account, every politician was so sure of his money safely stacked in abroad, but no one ever realized the surgical move of Modiji on the big notes. It was a well strategized plan without any speculation; people have waited in long queues for the Jio Sim as well so I am sure they won’t have a problem in waiting for some extra minutes for the betterment of India. Let’s stop complaining about corruption, instead take a step towards helping in solving the problem. Haritha Guduru Assistant Professor
The fashion Industry has had a great impact after the banning of the notes of greater denomination. Being a stylist, most of our transactions are done via online payments or cash on delivery but this has stopped now. The other day my driver had to buy me the parking ticket because I had no change. I have tried to go to the ATM’s at odd hours but it has never helped. Probably we should just wait and see how this is going to bring a change because Hyderabad was the first city to declare the amount of black money. We are getting close to solving the crisis of corruption. It somehow feels like we have finally achieved a stage where everyone is equal, from my maid to my assistant, we all are on the same page and that is a very humbling feeling. Indrakshi Pattanaik Fashion Stylist
I think it’s a revolutionary step taken by Mr. Modi to ban the 500 & 1000 rupee notes. I personally did not face much problem because I have a habit of using the plastic money and they were few 100 rupee notes at home which helped us (myself and my family) to meet the necessities which couldn’t be met by the plastic money. People are facing hardships because of this decision but they should also understand that this is only temporary. This is only going to secure and well build our system. I think we should all accept it with a positive attitude and as they say “Good things don’t come easy.” Anubhav Pulyani Pursuing Chartered Accountancy

Don’t Drink & Drive! The legal drinking age in India varies from one state to the other. The license for the sale of alcohol and rules for consumption of alcohol differ from state to state too. Some states such as Kerala have planned to implement solutions for drunken driving by prohibiting hard liquor in a systematic manner; this plan was started in the third quarter of 2014. Alcohol consumption is fully banned in states like Bihar, Gujarat, Nagaland, Manipur and also the union territory of Lakshadweep. The other states in India permit drinking, but the drinking age varies in different countries. The reason why the drinking age and rules for drunken driving vary from state to state is because alcohol is a subject in the State List under the Seventh Schedule of the Constitution of India. The blood alcohol content (BAC) legal limit is 0.03%. Since March 2012, higher penalties were introduced, including fines from Rs.2, 000 to Rs.10, 000 and imprisonment from 6 months to 4 years. Different penalties are assessed depending on the blood alcohol content at the time of the offence. The alcohol consumption rules differ according to a given state. Therefore, the legal drinking age in Hyderabad is kept at 21.The motor vehicle Act, 1939, amended up to 1989 contains a clause 117 which reads as:
small the quantity may be or is under the influence of a drug to such an extent as to be incapable of exercising proper control over the vehicle shall be punishable for the intake of drugs with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or with both; and for driving under the influence of alcohol, if committed within three years of the commission of the previous similar offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three thousand rupees, or with both. In June 2016, 3rd and 4th Metropolitan Magistrate Courts, Erramanzil, Hyderabad has imposed a fine of up to Rs. 30, 03,500 /- to the violators of Drunken Driving.

the location and drop you off safely at the destination.
The Go-to applications to prevent drunken driving:
Hyderabad cracks down on drunk driving: Soon pub goers must have designated drivers
DriveU- Allows you to hire expert car drivers at an affordable cost. Download the app and you are just a few taps away from hiring your own private driver. Zoom car- You can always rent a car if you have to drive a bunch of drunken friends home, self-driving car rentals service made easy like never before.
Safety measures that you can take before the officers show you the prison ‘bars’.
The Hyderabad police is moving beyond simply fining and prosecuting drivers to prevent drunk driving in the city. In the wake of rampant problems with drunk driving, the police are set to implement a designated driver policy at the city’s many pubs.
Avis- Avis is a truly Global company and operates in over 136 countries worldwide. It offers wide range of car rental / hire services. The company offers cars ranging from Audi to Honda.
In this new initiative, called “Designate a driver”, in each of group tipplers visiting a pub, one person would be chosen to drive all others home at the end of the evening. This person will, then, be given a wrist band that identifies them as the driver, and no alcohol would be served to him or her. At the end of the night, only the person with the band will be allowed to drive the vehicle.
We surely have other cab service applications, the most popular ones being Ola and Uber, they have a designated driver to pick you up from
Pub owners in the city are also eager to cooperate with the police to eliminate such incidents.
Carzonrent- India’s largest Car Rental/Hire Company offers cab or car rental services.
City party-goers spoke to us about their thoughts on drunken driving. Here’s what they tell us -
Yogitha Rao Aditya Jain,
Business Student Saturday night calls in for a party but it’s important to take precautions so that the night doesn’t turn into a nightmare. Hyderabad has made a few stringent rules off late relating to drunken driving and the deadline to shut down the night clubs has been preponed. I think the legal drinking age of 21 in Hyderabad is appropriate as people are matured enough to take on the responsibility and drive home safely. Drunken driving hampers the life of innocent people and all the measures taken by the government seem to be very legit. The Hyderabad Police is now moving beyond fining drunken drivers, and being more uncompromising and illiberal by filing cases and having the driver behind the bars. This has cracked down drunken driving in Hyderabad in good numbers. Drinking and driving not only puts my life to risk but also my friends’ who tag along with me in the car, so, I always take this into account and prefer to avoid consuming alcohol if I’m going to drive later. When anyone in my group is over drunk, we usually make him sleepover at a friend’s home or drop him/her off home safely. These small preventive measures are the insurance of our life and others too.
Business Student and Fashion Enthusiast Driving while intoxicated predominantly causes traffic accidents. Alcohol affects you in a way that changes your judgment, depth perception and vital motor skills required to drive safe. You think you are driving fine, when truly you are not. The consequences of drunken driving cannot be ignored- In addition to possible injury and death (not only of the driver but the pedestrians), there is the emotional trauma that may occur. A few safety measures such as sobriety checkpoints, drivers’ license suspensions, fines and prison sentences for drunken driving offenders should be used as deterrents. Bars that serve impaired drivers should face civil liability. Heavy penalties should be imposed on impaired drivers who injure or kill another. Sober drivers should be encouraged to take taxis or public transport. Is drinking and driving more important than your life? Take a cab; protect yourself as well as others on the road. Don’t become another drinking and driving statistic. Driving while sober is difficult in itself. Adding alcohol or other intoxicants into the mix is like putting your life and the lives of pedestrians at risk. Make the right choice and put your keys down!

FEATURE My father is a Hindu and my mother is a Christian. Therefore, I get the opportunity to celebrate all the festivals and have the best of both worlds. Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. Especially because of the Christmas Caroling! I’m a part of the Yuletide Carolers, and we go caroling all through the night; usually two or three nights in a row before Christmas Eve. We visit the homes of our near and dear ones, and sing their favorite carols for them! We practice for over a month for this special day and it’s always very exciting to go around town, spreading cheer and love. Kunisha Reddy, Student of Journalism
No more calorie resistance; When we hear Carol’s in the distance. The love, the faces and wine like cherry; Millions of people praying for this year and next to be Merry. Bright lights over the city and laughter everywhere, I can smell Christmas floating in the air. Christmas is going to be very special this year for me as this is my last Christmas that I would be spending with my friends and family. I am going abroad for my higher education and won’t be able to see them for a few years. It’s going to be an emotional Christmas and definitely merry one too. I am going to capture every moment on my camera and relive the wonderful times over and over again so that I feel I am surrounded by my family and friends in the Christmases to come. Vivian Rowland Community Operations Specialist
Christmas is everything to my family. We wait all year for it because it’s that one time of the year when we’re all together. It’s a tradition to decorate the house and create what we proudly call, ‘winter wonderland’. More importantly, on the 1st of December, my daughter’s birthday, we celebrate by singing for her and sipping on small glasses of homemade wine. Apart from that, I love baking and have my own place called ‘The Chocolate Haven.’ I make customized cakes, muffins, cupcakes and more for every occasion and Christmas time is the busiest with orders pouring in. It gives me immense happiness to intricately decorate every cake with love. Melanie Gabriel Baker

First, I would like to talk about why and how I offer my professional services. My key strength is in understanding and living in the philosophy that wholesome and clean foods have a daily and long-term effect on the human body & mind. My clients are from diverse backgrounds and have very specific goals and needs and I am happy to mention that I have achieved great results with them; be it the celebrities, politicians, professionals, sports persons, homemakers or the youth! What are super foods? Although, there is no scientific definition of Super foods, the general understanding is that they are nutrient-dense foods with vital antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Most of them help us prevent cell damage, build immunity and also work to energize us healthfully. Having said that, one shouldn’t assume that super foods have to be imported or foreign sounding or far-fetched! Our traditional foods like Amla, Moringa, Turmeric, Cinnamon and Coconut work wonders in their super food capacity! Tell us about juice detox and cleanses and how they work? First things first! It is important to do these juice detoxes or cleanses under professional guidance. I too supervise ‘Only on Juice’ detoxes seasonally as I know that ‘Safe in and safe out’ is critical to avoid health issues! But mostly, my cleanses are more about consuming clean and pure foods. I also incorporate solid meals along with amazing beverages like wheatgrass, green smoothies and super food chia-berry drinks. Lunches under my programs are organic, freshly cooked, filling and delicious! We have midmorning & mid-afternoon juices and we end with a wholesome dinner stew/ soup. Each day sees inspired lunch and dinner creations, crafted from the best fresh produce available!

With Yearend festivities around the corner, help us with some tips that can help us get in shape or that inner glow for the party season. Come join one of my programs, and you’ll be surprised at the comfort, convenience and how nicely full & satiated you will remain throughout! In fact, I call them Indulgent Clean Eating Programs! I mentioned them under your cleanse and detox query, above. In any case, I recommend that one be mindful of all that goes into our bodies. And also, to be aware of what all is around you: surrounding yourself with positive energy and people and environment is the key to feeling and looking good! Make a commitment to avoid or even cut out fried foods, refined sugars and flours like maida. Choose a favorite movement for yourself, be it walking, dancing, running or yoga, and do it faithfully every single day. When you eat, slow down and enjoy each bite. Listen to your body saying yes, and saying no. Watch your portions and if you do over indulge, remind yourself to go easy with your next meal. Do not beat yourself up for small slip-ups. Enjoy seasonal fruits and vegetables like the fresh juicy oranges, sitaphal and guavas out just now. Lots of greens have flooded the market and I recommend you to mix up the produce every day. Eat whole lentils and dals – indeed, we are so lucky to have many different types in all our grocery stores! Try to make these organic if you can; your future self will and Mother Earth will thank you! Create innovative dishes to keep yourself vested and interested in your own meals. Choose unpolished grains like brown or red rice or explore millets, be it foxtail, proso or jowar. The difference these super food grains will make in your life is tremendous! For cravings, I recommend fresh or dry fruits or small servings of nuts. And, I highly recommend my organic, slow cooked, non-fried, no-refined sugar Vibrant Living snacks to discover the world of ‘Healthy & Tasty’ tidbits! You’ll never look back! Chanel (Fly high with the chicest Mary Janes!) Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2016 saw a lot of travel inspiration mostly air travel. Its most talked about feature on the runway was the platform sandals something we think is Kate Middleton inspired. We also love the Mary Jane lookalike but ultra-chic shoes. Anyways, while we keep singing you may check out the piece that we put up only for you lovely people to keep you updated about the fashion necessities of the season!

The pretty solid colored bags with the sleek hair are trends already catching up like fire! FASHION Louis Vuitton (Decisions: Punk? Boho? or Both!) Spring/Summer 2016 for Louis Vuitton was about being digital and a lot of inspiration drawn from the subcultures - Punk and Bohemian. So, here are our best picks from the collection with their trademark backpack with the logo. Shout out to the urban nomads! “Fashion is a playground up until a certain age. But then you have to find your own signature and your own style” Nicolas Ghesquière (Creative Director, Louis Vuitton)
Tommy Hilfiger (All that beach fun!) Tommy Hilfiger’s recent collection is by far our most favorite of the lot. The collection is a burst of colors with our favorites, stripes, florals and you guessed it right - sneakers and sandals. What girl wouldn’t dream of walking the runway with sandals on! Well, you have to have a look to believe it for yourselves! Also, we think the collection is perfect for Indian Summers. “Consumers around the world always want something unexpected and exciting, that’s what drives me. I love the challenge of reinterpreting my designs in new ways each season to keep the ‘prep look’ modern and fresh” Tommy Hilfiger
Valentino (Going the African way!) Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2016 draws a lot of inspiration from Africa. The color pallet used in the collection is impressive. Along with the exotic patterns on the apparel and accessories, we absolutely love the frills and fringes in garments too (on the sleeves and skirt!). Not to forget the tribal inspired sandals and bags that followed! “In this moment, there is a big immigration, so our idea is to speak about the people, the different cultures, and the different traditions. We wanted to invite people to see others with an open eye, because sometimes you believe when you see a big group that they are all the same but it’s not true!” Maria Grazia Chiuri (Creative Director along with Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino) TULIP - DECEMBER, 2016 59
FASHION Versace (Scream Confidence this season!) Versace’s new collection screams ‘confidence’. Their entire collection has an element of ‘women empowerment’ with no form fitted garments or high heels, but Versace’s element of sexiness intact in the form of confident cuts, patterns and colors. Those huge belts and masculine shoulders adding to the look. The bright oranges and greens in the camouflage garments adding an oomph factor along with the bold and bright bags. “It’s very important for a brand to have an identity through the years, but it’s very important as well to evolve because times change so fast” Donatella Versace
Masaba Gupta (Cuteness Overload) Masaba Gupta’s line ‘Masaba Lite’ brings a new, fresh and affordable collection aimed mainly at Masaba’s teen customers but we recommend this adorable, peppy and pocket friendly line to anyone who wants to add a bit of adorability to their shelves! ‘Masaba Lite’ is spread across various categories, including bags and accessories “I read a quote by Sabyasachi: ‘The power of a brand lies in the strength of its copy market’. If people think you are a mediocre designer, they’ll never copy your work. The copies have made my brand stronger.” Masaba Gupta
Manish Arora (Disco Gypsy… literally!) Well, are you short of drama in your life? Then, you need to add some Manish Arora’s to your closet! Manish Arora’s latest collection is being called, ‘Disco Gypsy’. The name alone shouts spunk and fireworks and delivers just the same. Bright colors, glittery/shimmery gold-silver and garments with lots of character, some even seeming to possess more than just one. Feminine but screams attention! This summer, let your guards down and awaken the feisty woman in you! “Clothes are just a medium to express joy because that’s the medium I’m trained in” Manish Arora 60 DECEMBER, 2016 - TULIP
FASHION Anamika Khanna (Globally Indian!) Giving the saris and kurti’s a fresh and new personality that is modern, chic and yet very traditional. “Your own personal style can never go out of fashion” Anamika Khanna

AUTOMOBILES
“The ride on the Street 750 lets you cruise at speed with ease, just to prove to you that it is every bit a Harley. The throttle responses are quick with smooth acceleration and all six gearshifts are easy and precise letting you enjoy the ride. Even at really high speeds of over 120 kmph, the engine doesn’t make a fuss about being pushed, and allows to open up the throttle further. The Street 750 may have been designed for the urban rider but Harley’s trademark cruising riding characteristics are still intact. In city traffic, the Street 750 is quite comfortable as the engine backs it up with good torque in the low and mid-range letting you zip around without any hassles. What is really impressive is the way the bike maneuvers through city traffic despite its weight” Says Paramjeet

ENTERTAINMENT Mehga Akash to romance Nithiin in his next!
Nithiin’s next movie under the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi has a female lead actress on board, reportedly. It is learnt that the makers have zeroed in on Megha Akash, who has acted in a couple of Tamil films. The project, which will go on floors early next year is said to be a romantic entertainer and has an author backed the role of the protagonist. While the official confirmation is still awaited, watch this space for updates. The much hyped movie of actor Ram Charan Tej, ‘Dhruva’ finally called wraps for the shooting. Though the post-production works have begun simultaneously, we hear that the makers are now brisking ahead to complete the project on time. Directed by Surender Reddy, the movie is slated for a theatrical release on December 2. Actor Arvinda Swamy reprised his role in the remake of ‘Thani Oruvan’. Rakul Preet is playing the female lead of the movie which has music composed by Hip Hop Tamizha.
wns Atletico, Ronaldo hat-trick do ex tends Real lead Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick delivered Real Madrid’s first success over Atletico Madrid in La Liga for three years with a 3-0 win in the last meeting between the sides at Atletico’s Vicente Calderon. Real now lead second-placed Barcelona by four points after the Catalans paid a heavy price for the absence of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in a 0-0 draw with nine-man Malaga earlier on Saturday. Ronaldo struck the decisive spot-kick as Real edged Atletico on penalties in the Champions League final in May and was the match winner once more, albeit with a slight hint of fortune. “We played an enormous game from the start against a very difficult opponent,” said a delighted Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane. Only an incredible save by Oblak prevented Ronaldo opening the scoring with a towering header on 12 minutes that the Slovenian somehow clawed away low to his left. Oblak made another smart save to deny Luka Modric moments later, but he was helpless for the opener as Ronaldo’s free-kick was deflected behind him via the Atletico wall.
Robot 2.0: A filmy extravaganza Amid huge fanfare and a cine extravaganza, the first look poster of Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar is out. The sequel to Enthiran (Robo in Telugu and Robot in Hindi) is touted to be the costliest project in Indian cinema clinching the rank from Baahubali. The film is said to be made at a whopping budget of Rs 350 crore.
The first look launch is one of its kinds as the looks of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar will be launched in 3D by Lyca Productions. The superstar arrived at YRF in a white Porsche and staying true to himself, he stepped out wearing a simple white Kurta. “I just wanted to see Rajinikanth, the most amazing man. I have a lot of respect for him. I wasn’t invited. I got to know that the launch was here. So, I came here. Akshay Kumar is the only actor who has had growth in our industry. Rest of us are stagnant,” said Salman Khan. Akshay Kumar had hours before shared his avatar from 2.0 on Twitter. Well, he looks no less than Nolan’s Joker or Bane. No wonder the make-up for his role took him 6 hours every day to get into the character!
India vs England: Parthiv Patel to replace injured Wriddhiman Saha for 3rd Test at Mohali
Parthiv Patel made his way back into the Indian Test team after nearly eight years when he was picked in place of Wriddhiman Saha for the third Test between India and England at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. Saha, who took over wicket keeping duties from MS Dhoni after the latter’s retirement from the format in December 2014, has been rested for the third Test after developing a thigh strain during the second game of the series at Visakhapatnam, in order to prevent his injury from aggravating. India is currently leading the marathon five-Test series 1-0 after winning the second match at Vizag by a big margin of 246 runs. Skipper Virat Kohli shone with the bat in innings, scoring 167 and 81, while Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with eight wickets. Chasing an improbable target of 405, the English openers Alastair Cook and Haseeb Hameed put up a solid stonewalling effort on the penultimate day, before the Indian spinners tore through the opposition batting order to finish the match a few overs after lunch on the final day. The remaining matches of the series will be played in Mumbai and Chennai respectively, with England set to play three ODIs and as many T20Is thereafter.

MOVIES Movie Reviews
Force 2 Cast- John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha, Boman Irani, Genelia D’souza, Tahir Bhasin and Raj Babbar Director- Abhinay Deo After the hilariously captivating movie like Delhi Belly, Abhinay Deo has now made a comeback with the sequel of Force starring the hot hunk of Bollywood, John Abraham and the ever charming Sonakshi Sinha as the protagonists. This movie brings back ACP Yashwardhan played by John who teams up with RAW agent KK to put an end to a mastermind terrorist Shiv. Force 2 is an action packed film with numerous fight sequences and John Abraham’s bare body does add to the charm. Even though the story seems thrilling in the beginning, in the second half it does not seem gripping enough. The actors have tried their best to do justice to their roles. Overall the movie is a wholesome entertainer with soothing songs and is definitely a must watch for all the action lovers.
Fantastic Beasts and where to find them Cast- Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterson and Colin Farrell Director-David Yates Fantastic Beasts is a fictional thriller intertwined with science and magic which gives you the very feel of a Harry Potter movie. Set in the 1920’s New York, this movie revolves around Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) who is a ‘magizoologist’ trying to protect some endangered magical creatures. Led by a fanatical group of wizards, the movie offers an uncanny sense of humor which contrasted well with the intense scenes. At times it does feel like the movie is trying to cramp too much mythology and science in one space but the phenomenal screenplay and graphics makes it worth the watch.
Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada Cast- Nikhil Siddharth, Heeba Patel, Nandita Swetha and Vennela Kishore Director- Vi Anand After a brief gap, young hero Nikhil is back with yet another interesting project Ekkadiki Potavu Chinnavada. The horror comedy has hit the screens amidst the currency ban and people are saying it’s worth the extra bucks. A rollercoaster type of experience with some unexpected twists is the major asset of this film. If you ignore some boring moments during the initial part of the first half, this film makes up for a decent watch. The song and dance sequences have the typical essence of a Tollywood film. The film is really different from the regular horror comedies and has some very interesting moments to watch out for.

BOOKS Scrappy Little Nobody
(Anna Kendrick) A collection of humorous autobiographical essays by the Academy Award-nominated actress and star of Up in the Air and Pitch Perfect. Even before she made a name for herself on the silver screen starring in films like Pitch Perfect, Up in the Air, Twilight, and Into the Woods, Anna Kendrick was unusually small, weird, and “10 percent defiant.” In Scrappy Little Nobody, she invites readers inside her brain, sharing extraordinary and charmingly ordinary stories with candor and winningly wry observations. With her razor-sharp wit, Anna recounts the absurdities she’s experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture as only she can—from her unusual path to the performing arts to her double life as a middle-school student who also starred on Broadway to her initial “dating experiments” Enter Anna’s world and follow her rise from “scrappy little nobody” to somebody who dazzles on the stage, the screen, and now the page—with an electric, singular voice, at once familiar and surprising, sharp and sweet, funny and serious. The book is one that is bound to keep you entertained throughout.
Heartless
(Marissa Meyer) Marissa Meyer is known for her Young Adult fairy tale retellings. She develops new worlds, brings in new characters and does not use the classic familiar plot lines. With Heartless, her first stand-alone novel, Meyer takes us back to when the violent, furious Queen of Hearts was a warm, sweet young girl who wanted something more—albeit smaller, simpler and full of sugar and butter—than what was on offer for her. Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland and a favorite of the unmarried King, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, she wants to open a shop and create delectable pastries. But for her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for a woman who could be a queen. At a royal ball, where Cath is expected to receive the King’s marriage proposal, she meets the handsome and mysterious Jest. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into a secret courtship. Catherine’s story isn’t a familiar one, though of course, we know where her life is headed to, even before she hears the prophecy that tells her what the Fates see. We already know the adult version of the Queen of Hearts.
Filthy Rich
(Raine Miller) Billionaire Caleb Blackstone lives in the glamorous world of wealth and success, with every material luxury. But, the moment he sees Brooke Casterley, none of that matters. Caleb is filled with a raw, undeniable need that he can’t ignore, for a girl who is so completely different from everything and everyone he’s ever known. Only Brooke isn’t looking for love. She knows all too well, just how much damage the wrong guy can do. Still, what sane, broke British girl can resist the charms of an incredibly sexy, chivalrous billionaire? What starts as flirtation quickly turns into all-consuming passion. Nothing could have prepared her for the searing heat of Caleb’s touch—or just how much she craves him. Their whirlwind romance is the stuff of high-society fantasy—but for every moment pleasure, there is a cost. Past mistakes and tragedy shadow them both…and falling for him might be the kind of trouble she can’t afford. A book that you cannot put down unless you have turned the last page...!

Forecast For
December 2016 PISCES
(born February 19 - March 20) Overall, this is rather a good Month for you; there will likely be lots going on in your immediate surrounding allowing you to become more optimistic about the future. You may get a little disconcerted or ill at ease by the pace and new situations within your workaday world that will arise making concentration almost impossible. Pay attention to what’ll be happening around you because new admires will definitely be within your existence. Now, if you are single look forward to some fun romantic times and if you are happily married “there’ll be new romantic sparks”.
ARIES
(born Mar. 21 - April 19) Watch those thoughts closely. Watch most likely during this forecast cycle. Your efforts to get things done within a timely fashion will most likely be met with subliminal-resistance or subliminal animosity. You will not know where the stumbling blocks are coming from – but use quiet
time to reflect and go with the flow. You’ve better advantages later as the month continue to unfold. It is time to stop allowing those around you to take your goodness for granted for goodness sake; can’t you see “you have enough on your shoulders”!
TAURUS
(born April 20 - May 20) Feelings are good and reflect a relatively bountiful personal environment, even when others are upon hard times. Be generous, but keep the bulk for yourself, as this is harvest time. So, in your best interest, during this 30+ day forecast cycle becomes the time to be more alert than ever because this month, there might be another shoe falling! Make sure you take time for communicating and getting in touch with old friends. Its okay to place phone calls, write notes and thank you cards, write letters, attend meetings, and run those personal errands, but make sure you focus on positive issues. It is a good time to reap benefits from earlier expenditures.

TAROT
GEMINI
(born May 21 - June 20) Extreme actions to torture revelations out of your muse may gain shortterm results but can be seriously risky to your inner wellbeing. Better to wait until you rise to the level of angels than to try to drag them down to keep you company. Fallen angels are troublesome, and you have the time. You are at an optimum period to follow suddenly arisen opportunities down the road to success. Big plans with big follow-ups will win the day, as long as you do not hesitate to grab the ring as it goes by. Original thinking combined with fearless action is the key. You have both to exercise them.
CANCER
(born June 21 - July 22) If it feels right, go ahead, no matter how far out it seems! This is a time when inspiration goes hand in glove with opportunity, so being ready to invest in it and strike while the iron is hot. And save the extra stuff that you don’t have time to implement right away, it’ll be just as valuable down the line. This is, in general, a period when it’s more all right to experiment with the unusual, pursue original approaches, and follow those flashes of insight however strange they might seem. Partially, it’s because what you might have thought strange not long ago now seems lucidly obvious and everyone wants a piece of the action.
LEO
(born July 23 - August 22) You’re in for a recharge of energy that puts your settings right back where they were at birth. It’s like déjà vu all over again, the fountain of youth... well, sort of. You may have had more get up and go at points, but this is more centered, like you can take it anyplace you want because it’s so familiar. What’s happening that may seem unusual now is familiar because you’ve been there before this very lifetime and you’re getting another shot at it this time with experience. Forces that have hitherto been buried deep within you are about to become manifest in your life and being, forces that will lead you to explore undreamed of realms.
VIRGO
(born August 23 - September 22) You are entering a new, vibrant, creative upswing that, barring severe physical disability, will keep you flying for a number of years yet. The ability to listen to your own muse, regardless of external input, allows you a freedom unknown to all those but the newly born. This year at this time becomes a major stepping stone in your life, where you may expect to branch off into totally new, major directions which you will elaborate upon for the coming years. Be ready to make some important decisions that will mean abandoning the past and stepping boldly into a promising but uncertain future.
LIBRA
(born September 23 - October 22) Your thinking cap suddenly fits better than ever, like new again, giving you a rebirth of clarity and intent. It’s a good time to take a look at how you explain things and put down new roots for learning and
understanding. It’s a youthful feeling, like going back to school again and opening new windows of the mind. Separate wasteful wishes from real requirements and you’ll double your pleasure in the end. You got a chance to gain materially so be patient and begin thinking (aloud) that you got all it takes to complete this journey!
SCORPIO
(born October 23 - November 21) New frontiers, hot prospects, expanded operations are not hard to sell right now in fact, the soft sell will be the most successful. Whether you are promoting your affections or your consumer product, act as if it’s the only way to go in the world and is pretty much of an accomplished fact already. The more faith you have in yourself, the more others will have in you, and the more likely things will work out right for you, since everyone is expecting them to. The best way to expand your personal boundaries is by pushing the envelope evenly at a number of places, not just bursting out in a single direction.
SAGITTARIUS
(born November 22 - December 21) Showing your feelings may not be the best thing to do right now. Keeping to yourself could save you from unwanted entanglements. Be staunch, do not stoop to complain, and you will gain the respect of all for your worldly reticence. Send requests through channels and things will flow more easily. Special projects (that deal with finances) should have adequate input by now and be winding toward completion, filling in details for days ahead. Health and wealth conspire to put you on the map, so tend your resources and they will tend you. Fitness and energy is as important as what is in your wallet, and that alone can give you the appearance of success.
CAPRICORN
(born December 22 - January 19) Oh my, “you really do have some good things headed your way”! Subtle feelings and intangible but reliable intuition allow increasing buildup of emotional communication, as plans come ever closer to realization. Slow and easy swings you along at just the right pace, there’s no hurry to completion. It will come in its own time. Enjoy the journey. Addressing issues now (that deal with personal occurrences) allows for lasting satisfaction if and only if you follow through with your intentions! People around your (in your workaday world) are feeling insecure, so avoid encouraging any negativity you encounter.
AQUARIUS
(born January 20 - February 18) Taking it easy and letting things happen will let opportunities continue to grow that are already underway. Situations beginning now will be cooperative and helpful to you as they progress. A general atmosphere of getting along together prevails and will continue to if you just go with the flow. Your desirability may be in question from time to time, and a little mending and darning of how you fill the gap in others’ needs might be in order. You can’t be all things to all people, however, so don’t take the occasional complaint too much to heart. If you don’t get what you want on the first try, try again.
