Vivaha Bhojanambu
A complete South Indian delight for any food lover, Vivaha Bhojanambu is a warm and welcoming place for an authentic south culinary journey. The interiors are very simple and classic. We started off with the amazing kheer. The appetizers we had were Golconda Kodi, a herby chicken starter with a Andhra twist. The Palnadu kodi kebab was a perfect piping hot kabab that one should definitely order specially during the monsoons. For some sea food, one should go for the chepu chips, crisp and tangy fish chips & the pandu mirchi sticks which were loaded with delectable spices. The appetizers are on point, full of taste and cooked to perfection. We tried the Nellore Mamsam Pulao and the Palavancha Kodi Pulao for the main course, both the dishes have an impeccable diverse preparation of its own. All in all, the staff and service is remarkable just like the food. We had Mango Delight that called for an end to our good course meal at Vivaha Bhojanambu. 265/F, Road Number 10, Jubilee Hills, Opp Seventh Heaven, Hyderabad, Telangana 500033 Phone: 040 2355 4525 18 JULY, 2017 - TULIP

Malaka Spice
Originally from Pune, Malaka finally opened its doors to Hyderabad for some mouth-watering South East Asian cuisine. The location is a sophisticated romantic hub for a date at night (candle light, literally!) and if you plan for a luncheon, then the breezy outdoor setting might steal your heart. The service is impeccably warm and delightful, brownie points for the token of appreciation given to each server on your respective table. Starters are full of surprises and innovations, Kebabs on Sugarcane Skewers, we tried it with minced mutton fried on sugar cane skewers which gives in the right blend of sweet and spicy served with honey chilli sauce. Another exciting one was the Top Hats, exotic herbs of chicken (variants of your choice like vegetarian, chicken, duck or mutton) filled in bite sized cups, crispy from the outside and juicy from the inside. You got to sip on some Malaka Original Cocktails like Apple Martini and the Malaka Thai Iced Tea, every local’s favourite! They have the finest curation of dishes in their main course like the Roti Jhala which is a laced roti served with your choice of fresh curries. Don’t give this one a miss when you make a visit there! We also opted for the Singapore chilli noodles which is flamed, flavoured and inspired from the streets of Malaysia & Singapore. Have a little sweet pleasure with the Malaka Magic Choco Lava to conclude a great visit at Malaka Spice. Road No. 1, Hyderabad, Telangana 500033 Phone: 076600 05933

WHATS HAPPENING
AIB- First Draft Workshop
First Draft was designed with a simple belief that there are scores of gifted storytellers across the country who are dying to make it big. But then, not many of them have access to practical guidelines about how to go about it, nor do they know methods of structuring their thoughts and ideas. Worst of all, writing is believed to be something that requires only talent and the right frame of mind. AIB, through these workshops is trying to impart the understanding that writing, like all creation, is an act of will and is most importantly dependent on hard work. This is all they want to make available to anyone who conducts our workshops - to help them take some concrete steps toward realizing their dreams rather than endlessly struggling with numerous ideas and incomplete drafts. Conducted by very talented – Satyanshu Singh who writes, directs and teaches cinema with so much passion that it’s not only easy to grasp what he teaches but a class room experience you wouldn’t want to miss. His works include writing poems and stories for Udaan(2010) and lyrics for the song “Life yeh Mausambi-si” in Ferrari Ki Sawaari(2011). Satyanshu along with his brother Devanshu made a Kashmiri short film named “Tamaash” (The Puppet) which won awards at various film festivals across the globe. Satyanshu Singh is also an extensive blogger and his blog ‘Cinema is Forever!’ has won a lot of credit to his name. They are going to come back in August for another workshop so follow them on Instagram and check out their website for regular updates, because you wouldn’t want to miss it. Mumbai street food festival at Courtyard by Marriott
Marriott welcomed monsoon with Mumbai Street Food Festival. Converting a section of their Momo cafe at Courtyard by Marriot to a vibrant chowpatty that had bandis serving everything from masala chai to ragda patty. Keeping the flavours in mind they have tried to keep authenticity alive with local delicacies and also costumes of the management who happily greet you dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire. The Chat of Mumbai is known for its lip smacking flavours and endless variety. The extended dinner buffet included pani puri, sev puri, papri chaat, Mumbai’s famous Vada pav, Bombay sandwich but our favourite was definitely Baida Roti- egg parathas with a generous filling of perfectly minced lamb. They also had butter masala egg roll and dessert that was Egg Malpuas, different from what we Hyderbadis are used too. Even the main course part of the buffet included some local Mumbai delicacies like Matar Chi Usal, Malwani Paneer, Besanwali bhindi and Patal Bhaji, but the dish that was definitely outstanding was Lamb Rassa. It was definitely a moment where we were transferred to the city of dreams, little details like, radio playing Bollywood, people moving around in Nehru caps and tea being carried on a cycle served right at your table with accompaniment of some peanuts made it a worthwhile experience
Genuine Broaster Chicken rolls out new Additions
Genuine Broaster Chicken at jubilee hills has added some new additions to their already existing menu. They have rolled out some mind-blowing freak shakes, we tried their Jim Jam Strawberry and Sneaky Caramel both loaded with sinful flavours of delight. They have also added new flavours of wings like Kung Pao, Butter Garlic, Curried BBQ, and Narangi Sriracha. They have already introduced some summer coolers, burgers and not to forget their Oreo Phirni dessert as well. The brand ambassador of the franchise in India is the Celebrity Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi ! The chef has himself designed the unique menu based on Indian flavours and the taste buds for this brand to blend it perfectly along with the authentic menu designed by the company. Also, when you have a look on the menu, all the food items are named in a really quirky way and reflecting the fusion ‘indo-American’. it’s a great place that offer good food and live music as well. Weight Loss and Knee Arthrithis: I am a 40 year old entrepreneur and my lifestyle is very erratic because of my business. My right arm got dislocated in a major bike accident, in one of the triathlons I had a bad back injury, specifically to the lumbar spine and around 2 years ago I was diagnosed as having Early Arthritis. There were days where my left knee would stiffen up and it would be a challenge to walk up the stairs. Winters were even more terrible, even a Hyderabad winter would mean halting, taking support and slowly walking up while I would get shooting pains in my knee. Doctors recommended NO Running anymore, no hard gym workouts, even a surgery to correct my left leg deformity as it was half an inch longer than my right leg. Once I enrolled, Naveen told me about the 30 day challenge. The first one week was a challenge, because with the lifestyle, the mental blocks that one has, it was quite frustrating to get through it continuously. But after 10 days I started noticing something, I was sleeping better, I was a lot calmer, I was more energetic. Work pressures seemed less daunting. And yes I started seeing a body transformation. My clothes were hanging quite loose on me, my legs and back was getting strong. And with the diet given for the 30 day challenge by Naveen it was amazing to see how my mind and body was responding to it. -Swapna Namaha Yoga (Banjara Hills), 8-2-292/174/104, Guv Vivilash Chambers, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad - 500 034. TRAVEL STORIES
Travel to create Memories What was your recent Travel? Iceland and London for family holiday to get away for summer. Best meal you have ever had? Scalini, London is one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to. An unforgettable memory: There are always too many memories to choose from, everything about Iceland was surreal. The Glaciers, Whale watching, Geysers, Trekking and going behind a Waterfall, the Blue Lagoon & the Black Sand Beach. It’s hard to just choose one, since each and everything we experienced was different from the other and equally exciting and fascinating What are your travel essentials? Phone, charger, money, chocolate, passport, sunglasses and headphones. What is your gourmet paradise? Eataly , New York Karishma Chandiramani Hairstylist, Director at Toppers
Travel to Experience What was your recent Travel? I went to Spain and Portugal this summer for a family holiday. We covered Seville, Malaga, Ibiza, Madrid in Spain and Porto, Lisbon in Portugal. What is it that you look for when you select a place? I love travelling would be an understatement! When I choose to travel, I just have one condition; the destination should be more than a commercial city. I can simply start dreaming while looking at European architecture, their details are so intricate and well-defined you cannot just pass by and not appreciate it. Beaches, sunsets and shacks have a special place in my heart too. It’s ideal for soul-searching and dreamy pictures! An unforgettable memory: My first European city, Porto! I always dreamt of myself running around European lanes, adoring street cafes, laying on mowed grass and simply being a wanderer. And when I went to Porto and Seville which by the way is most underrated travel destination, I was in love! hubh Mukherjee is a theatre/ film actor and a film maker for the last ten years.. He created a company called Ipix Indies that produces international projects & documents real larger than life weddings. Being a constant traveller, he had a lot of ideas running through his mind. He realized that, despite having lived in this country for 30 Years, there was a lot about his country still unexplored. So he decided to explore and capture it all, to show the world more about india through his show- Trip With Me. The idea was to travel across India from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and Rajasthan to Nagaland, exploring & capturing the most unseen sights & stories. To make it more challenging & interesting, it was based on a time limit of 30 days. So, the concept of the show was for Shubh to travel, to as many places, meet as many people; capture as many stories across the country in just 30 days. Unexplored places, unseen mysteries, unexpected stories of people and unplanned adventures were a part of his journey every now and then with absolutely no communication from the outside world except for the people he met during the journey. How did you come up with the idea of ‘Travelling India in 30’ days? I wanted to produce content ever since i stepped in to Mumbai. With time & the digital technology/medium taking over, & a little of my experience over the years, I was certain that I wanted to produce content that would reach out to a significant audience. A lot of content creators had come up & were doing great stuff. With my shoots & projects, I would end up travelling a lot, mostly bringing back a lot of experiences. It was one fine trip, where I decided; why not make an interesting documented travel series. In 2015, I ended up taking over 150 flights. The question was - where and why. While Googling about India, I realised there was so much about my own country that I had not known. From twin towns, to meteorite impact lakes, from Asia’s cleanest village to an ancient ghost town. Therefore the decision was clear. But to make the series more exciting, we decided to bind over a time limit of 30 days, to resonate how far would I be able to go within my country leaving everything behind for a month. How was the experience? The experience was something I can never explain in words. Every single day, was a new adventure & challenge of sorts. We started off to film a travel series about places unseen & unheard of, but within the very first week, we realised it was not just going to be that. From

getting caught by the cops in account of our drone crossing Indian airspace, or encountering a hit & run case with our own eyes, or even missing getting out of a train at 3 in the night or just missing trains in general. Every bit became more & more challenging & at the same time even more interesting. That’s when we realised; this entire series was based on this experience one of a kind & not just travel. A memory you fondly recall from your adventure? My favourite memory of my 30 day travel was the last day driving a bike through those incredible scenic mountains in -14 degree temperature, in the world’s highest motorable pass- the Khardungla pass. It was not advisable to drive up that belt in the evening. Yet I did, seeing my dream come true and not giving up despite of all the challenges and obstacles that came my way. Place that surprised/fascinated you the most and why? It HAS to be Kashmir. It was unreal. The beauty and divinity of that place bedazzled me. It was truly the most beautiful valley I have ever been to. No wonder two nations are fighting for it! Dhanushkhodi was also one of my absolute favourite because it restores such an ancient beauty. Only fishermen live there, it was destroyed in a cyclone in 1960’s but somehow this town has a breathtaking beauty to it. What to expect of your series? All I truly expect is appreciation. Not for what I have done. But for a world that is unique enough to be explored, without fear or inhibition. At 30, I had not visited my country or even known it well enough. But today I do. I expect people to get up, & get going to as far as they can without inhibitions or fear and sometimes even without expectations Our travel series is not a travel show that only showcases the lifestyle, food and sight seeing places. What started as a travel show has become a voice of thousands of messages we captured from all over India igniting the social issues and messages that our own people wanted to share. Usually voice of a common man in India gets overshadowed in our country but in trip with me we captured the truth and emotions of a common man like not seen before along with unseen places and sights which too are not often seen before. Travel for the love of Food What was your recent Travel? I travelled to Western Europe for 25 days. Visited 6 countries and lived up to my dream of exploring the world. I Visited Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and France. Berlin is a delight for meat lovers! The food will surprise you in ways you’d never imagine. Spain on other hand is an inexpensive destination with pleasant weather and beautiful monuments and definitely the best place to start with. Best meal you have ever had? The Wiener Schnitzel in Berli was the best meal I had! I could go back just to relish one more meal An unforgettable memory: My visit to the cheese museum in Amsterdam was the sweetest moment of my trip. It was a spontaneous decision that reminds me to always leave some space for magic! What is your travel hack? Choose home stays over hotels. Living with locals is a much better experience, saves you a ton of money too! What is your gourmet paradise? Mercado de San Miguel in Madrid. Unlike a traditional market, this one is filled with Fresh Gourmet Tapas, a variety of Hams, Stuffed Urchins, Oysters with Caviar and much more. The lively atmosphere filled with the scents of exotic food creating an unforgettable vibe. You must try the oysters and Boccadilo de calamares (squid sandwich). Travel to explore the world What was your recent Travel? Italy & Greece: Europe was always on my wanderlust top list. This time I chose to travel around the beautiful old charms of Italy and the stunning Greece for holiday. As a travel & style blogger and wedding photographers, my husband and I always look for destinations that challenge us with its beauty and charm. What is it that you look for when you select a place? I always believe that every place has its own story to tell, all you need to do is hear. The only thing i do check before travelling is the weather. As a traveller, I love to go explore the city, be it beaches or mountains, food or shopping learn about the local culture. An unforgettable memory: there are thousands of memories in my memoir, but one of my recent favourite is my experience of driving a quad bike on the hill. It was not only a challenge but very adventurous for me. What is your travel hack? Take it easy and enjoy the place. I would always prefer to pack light unless I have some shoots lined up. Best meal you have ever had? This question is making my mouth water already. So many meals that I can think of right now, but one that I never had again was that special grilled fresh fish at Ma Mia restaurant near the black sand beach in Santorini, Greece. Later, I tried tasting grilled fish at different places, but nothing can replace the taste of the one from Ma Mia Divya Varam Travel & Style Blogger, fashionlovetravell 34 JULY, 2017 - TULIP

Anisha Ambrose got into the industry by fluke. Originally from Vizag, she comes from a family of educationists. She did her MBA in Finance and Banking from GSIB, GITAM University, Vizag. She has also worked for Dell, Hyderabad after completing her studies. What made you come into this Industry? Being an actor was never a career option for me. It all happened by fluke when I was looking for a job change and one day I found a message on Facebook from Sangamitra Arts asking me if I’d like to audition for a film because they had liked the pictures I uploaded of myself. Knowing that my family would never be happy, I did not take it seriously. When I mentioned about the audition to my dad he was very keen that I do the audition just for experience sake. I got to know I was selected a month after the audition and rest is history! Tell us a little about your upcoming projects? Okkadu Migiladu with Manchu Manoj, Vittalacharya with Naveen and Naresh Garu are some of my next projects in Telugu for now. Where have you travelled recently? Dubai! What do you look into selecting a destination for a holiday? Instagram is a great place to find holiday inspiration. I’m very spontaneous when it comes to decision making sometimes. If friends or family are eager to travel to someplace I’m always game! What are your travel essentials? In my handbag I’d like to carry, my wallet, lip balm, sunscreen, concealer, hair ties, power bank for my phone, travel pillow, shawl and a bottle of water while I’m travelling. What is the dream destination? There are a few- New Zealand, South Africa, Greece & Seychelles. What is your favourite/cuisine or dish? I think the best way to discover a culture is to try their cuisine. I love food, all kinds but Asian cuisine in its vast variety has to be my favourite. If there is one place you would love to spend for the rest of your life? I hope I’m not stuck in one place forever because that would be rather boring. There’s so much to do in one lifetime! Travel to you is... Travel means excitement to me - heading to new destinations I have never seen, meeting new people and seeing new cultures. I like to drink it all in. How has your journey been by far? It’s been overwhelming! God has been good to me. The perks of travelling, meeting lots of interesting people getting to expand on ideas and grow is something I love about this profession. There have been many ups and a few downs but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Not wanting to visit a commercialized hill station, my cousins and I decided on Tosh and Kheerganga in Himachal Pradesh. A four day trip (excluding to and fro travel to Delhi/Bhuntar) was planned. We arrived in Tosh on a Saturday afternoon and stayed at Pinki Didi’s Café. Tosh is a picturesque village with guesthouses and cafés built randomly around each other. The lanes are inaccessible by normal means of transport – your two feet are all you have got when you wish to explore this upcoming go-to destination in the Himalayas. The view from our room was spectacular – luscious greenery on the mountains closest to us, with the snow-capped peaks towering behind them. Fresh air that resonated the sound of the robust Parvati River was our background score day and night. We trekked the Kheerganga route the next day. I am going to be honest! It wasn’t easy! The last few kilometers were the steepest and toughest. Being a group of five, we motivated each other and reached our final destination in about five hours. Random tents and cafes sat on the rather flat surface on the mountain. Camping under stars was what we came for and that is exactly what we got! It did get pretty chilly in the night with temperatures dropping down to six degrees. I loved it!! We stayed overnight and trekked back down to Barshaini dam (the starting point of the trek) the next day. Before we started our return journey down the hill, we took a dip in the natural hot water springs Kheerganga is famous for. The hot water was soothing after the exhausting trek we had had the day before. The scenery en route the trek was no less. Random waterfalls spritzing water on you and rainbows being formed where the sunlight hit the water droplets was a sight we could sit and admire for hours. After relaxing in Tosh for a night, we started our journey back home. On our way back to the capital, we visited the Manikaran Gurudwara and lunched at one of the cafes in Kasol. The pleasant weather throughout the trip and the scenery were the highlights for me! If you are a trekker, then this route is a must for you!” Kushneet Kukreja. TULIP - JULY, 2017 39

AnnaMaya- Hotel Andaz Delhi Hotel Andaz Delhi by Hyatt is new on the block of premium luxury hotels in Delhi and apart from having great accommodation facilities; they also receive rave reviews for their dining facilities. We checked out - AnnaMaya, their European hall, which is tastefully designed with a relaxed European aesthetic in mind and the colour of the stained glass windows is well balanced by the earthy tables and chairs. The essence of AnnaMaya’s existence lies in celebrating local ingredients that are made in India – also everything you see here is available on sale, the greens in your dish, masala’s in your curry even the plates you are served in. Their core lies in using all things organic and promoting artisanal products. They have open live kitchens and counters, a beautiful pastry section right at the entrance- that will make you want to have desserts first. They serve traditional Indian cuisine with a modern twist made with consciously sourced produce.. Our lunch at AnnaMaya was a lavish one, while the chef induced us with organic knowledge, the lovely team- which we must mention follows no strict dress code keeping up to their name, Andaz definitely has an Andaz. What you must try are the salads that boast of organic greens and fresh produce. Our meals began with summer fresh lassis that were available in flavours of mango, chocolate and mint. The ‘Caramelised Roasted carrots-with Himalayan honey and black onion seeds’ had my heart, a simple dish that tasted exotic, they whipped up some really exquisite Indian dishes like ‘Stir-fried okra- with cashews and tamarind’ Amritsari goat milk paneer tikka -with mint chutney’ ‘Chicken Tikka, marinated to perfection with cinnamon, black pepper- glazed with garlic oil’ absolute favourite was the ‘Grilled fish in plantain leafwith fragrant chilli sauce’ and one must not leave Annamaya without tasting their ‘Confit duck- Oranges, ginger and sweet tomato dip’ recommended by the chef. It was a delight indeed. Their ‘Lamb and spinach patty- with Himalayan timur pepper, onion compote and creamy mash’ was also pleasing. Post the initial trail into forest you will know you have finally pierced into the ‘real’ forest when you start noticing countless deer, langoors hopping, peacocks wandering and wild boars roaming around. All the places you visit will tell you a story of the times that have gone by, but Hyderabad has managed to retain the essence of the bygone era of the Nizams. Listed below are few reviews describing the alluring city of Hyderabadi’s
Falaknuma Palace Amongst the entire hustle bustle in the city, The Falaknuma Palace is a royal and serene treat to your eyes. The Nawabs never compromised on architecture and beauty. The Falaknuma Palace is a mix of English architecture and Italian designs. If you are a curious mind and soul, the history behind the Palace and the city will mesmerize you. The garden of the palace is filled with peacocks and gives you a feel of the royal King and Queen. Museum is something that interests me when it comes to Royal belongings. From fashion to jewelry! There are so many stories of our country that it just never gets old. There are packages that you can follow which includes Palace tour in a royal way. Wonderla It started about a year ago and being a thrill seeker I decided to just immediately roll into it. It has been the most amazing and thrilling experience of my life with rides such as maverick and the most amazing reverse roller-coaster (recoil). I have been there thrice now and never get any less of a hearth throbbing experience each time. Luckily, recently they have started the sky scraping giant wheel. The best part is its facilities and safety procedures. It is a family as well as a friend’s pack place who can try their courage in defying gravity. As a thrill seeker and adventurous person I would recommend each person to go there except for the faint hearted cause that place is sure to give you all the butterflies in your stomach. Why visit- The Park covering more than 50 acres of land has 43 attractions, including 18 water-based rides can cater to more than 10,000 visitors a day. The fun and thrilling rides must not be missed; the food served inside is cheap as well as mouthwatering, the service and the safety for rides is well taken care of as well. Lokesh Soni, Student

SPECIAL
Ramoji Film city is one the biggest film studios covering 2000 acres of land in the south east of Hyderabad. I visited Ramoji Film city in the fall season making it a perfect time to enjoy the place to its fullest. As we bought the ticket, we were escorted to an open red bus which was my favorite. The red bus took us through various lakes and theme gardens which were specially designed to suit the requirements of the film producer. We got down at each stop to explore the whole area and hop on to our next bus which would take us to another destination. Film Dunia is a place where a people would get to know, as to how the various sets are built in film industry. Borasura and Sahas adventure land offers a bunch of amazing activities which can be enjoyed by both the children and the adults. My favorite destination was the birds and the butterfly garden. The garden was filled with beautiful species of birds and unique varieties of butterflies. We saw an amazing sunset at the end of the tour along with a magical holiday carnival which was magical and breathe taking. Ramoji Film city is definitely the place where you get to have the most unforgettable experience and spend an extraordinary day with your loved ones. Why visit- Cherukuri Ramoji Rao established Ramoji Film City in the year 1996 as a contribution to the film industry. Charminar Charminar, the first thing comes to our mind when we think or hear of Hyderabad. It was built by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah. It is the heart of the old city and is one of the must see places in Hyderabad. The architecture of Charminar is spellbinding. There are shops around it selling antiques, pearls, attar (perfume), bangles, dresses and many more. One cannot miss the famous Irani chai (tea) and Osmania biscuits. Women who love shopping, this is the best place to go. People around there are very friendly and they tend to interact very well. Mecca Masjid, Chowmahalla palace are around Charminar which are other places one has to visit. The place is packed during the Ramzaan season. Though it is crowded in the evening , all the lights make it look very colorful. Why visit- Charminar is an important landmark of the Pearl City. The monument acts as a signature of Hyderabad that you can climb over. Introduce yourself to the Cazia style of architecture that has mixed itself with Islamic as well as Deccan culture. Maisara Designs
Maisara was started as a label by Manat Lamba and her sisters with the aim to design a collection that would cater to the gap in the market for the style conscious and price conscious customer: “While there is a plethora of extremely talented designers and some stunning collections out there, as a regular consumer we found a large variation in the price points further resulting in a large variation of quality. Maisara was always about providing the right outfit at the right price keeping in mind crucial factors of quality and design. We started with a much heavier collection focusing designs on zardozi, Gota and the likes, with a very small focus on block prints. It was at our first show that we realized how much people were still driven towards the block printed collection and the ease of wearing cotton anywhere in India made it an obvious choice for our way forward. Spending weeks and months in Jaipur, designing blocks, custom making patterns, colors, cuts etc each garment of Maisara speaks volumes of the talented Indian artisans. We hope to establish a store soon in Delhi and establish ourselves in new markets like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad etc. We’re also working on new lines like nightwear, kids and men. We have done some testing in these fields but hope to establish a wider collection for them”. Manat explains. Facebook: @maisaraclothing . Instagram: @ maisara.clothing. Experience the amazing waterfalls with a weekend Trips from Hyderabad during Monsoons: Srisailam is one of the most important pilgrimage centers in India situated on the banks of River Krishna in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. Srisailam is a perfect combination of temples and scenic spots. Srisailam Dam built over River Krishna is one of the largest dams in South India. Mallikarjuna Temple, Bhramaramba Devi Temple, Akka Mahadevi Caves, Pathala Ganga, Shikaresvara Temple, Sakshi Ganapathi Temple and Mallela Theertham are the other
attractions here. Mallela Theertham is a charming waterfall located in the dense Nallamala forest. This is one of the popular tourist places to visit in Srisailam and among popular weekend getaways for 2 day trip from Hyderabad. Srisailam is at its best when the dam gates open during monsoon (around August/September). Distance from Hyderabad: 230 Km.
FEATURE Kuntala Hills: Kuntala Falls is an enchanting waterfall situated in the middle of the Sahyadri mountain range near Neredikonda village in Adilabad district of Telangana. Kuntala Falls is the highest waterfalls in Telangana with a height of 200 feet and is also one of the top monsoon getaways from Hyderabad. It is also one of the famous waterfalls near Hyderabad. Formed by Kadam River, Kuntala Falls cascades down through two steps from a rocky platform. The flow of these falls depends on the release of water from the Kadam Reservoir. The uncertainty of the water release, especially in the rainy season makes Kuntala Waterfalls a slightly dangerous place. Distance from Hyderabad: 260 Km.
Nagarjuna Sagar: Nagarjuna Sagar, situated on AP – Telangana border, is one of the most prominent Buddhist centers in India. Nagarjuna Sagar is one of the best monsoon destinations near Hyderabad. It is well known for Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, one of the largest dams in India. It is also the place of immense archaeological significance & excavations revealed this place as a center for the propagation of Buddhist teachings in South India during 3rd century AD. One of the early river valley civilizations took birth here. Distance from Hyderabad: 154 Km. FUN! Channel your inner artist at Charminar: The Charminar is the most identifiable icon of Hyderabad. It is also one of the most famous historic monuments in India. The Charminar in the rains is an ideal subject for monsoon photography in the city. The area surrounding the monument is a bustling marketplace, one of the most crowded zones in the old city. When it rains, crowds disperse making it easier for the Charminar to breathe freely. So, go out on a photography spree and shoot the ways of life around the Charminar, in the monsoon season. Watch the beautiful yachts sailing on the Hussain Sagar Lake during the Monsoon Regatta: Hyderabad is home to the Annual Monsoon Regatta and each year, it’s a splendid sight during the monsoon to see boats of different shapes and sizes and even colors, from small boats to Catamarans being skillfully maneuvered in the choppy waters of the Hussain Sagar Lake. Enjoy the spectacle and who know, maybe you and your kids can get interested enough to take this up as a sport too!

Aura at The Park
Give yourself a pampered break from your daily stressed life and rejuvenate yourself at Aura Spa. A Spa session is a great mood up-lifter and just the refreshment you’re tired and aching body needs. They have introduced some new additions like Aura Awakening Signature therapy, complete range of Botanical range for Skin Care, Handpicked Smooth Body Scrub & Ubtan and Purest form of Aromatherapy Oil to make your experience an enchanting one. They have incorporated the traditional ritual of Nizams in their therapy. The interiors are so soothing you will instantly slip into a calm mode. After changing into your robes, you will be escorted to one of your private massage rooms where the therapist begins your treatment. We choose to go with ‘Aromatherapy massage’, followed by ‘Handpicked Body scrub & Facial’ The therapist begins the massage with my feet and slowly moves her way upwards. She also emphasizes on knots and instead of a kneading movement she rhythmically moves her fists up and over my nerves moving the knots to the absolute edge till they almost vanish. I could feel lot of positive vibes with the whole experience and ambience. The therapist then moved on to second step, where she began scrubbing the entire body with herbal mixture and essential oils. She carefully scrubs each part of the body with this mixture, which is great to remove suntan and leave the skin feeling smooth, soft and saturated with antioxidants a simply divine experience leaving you feeling cleansed, fit and absolutely refreshed. Post this you are left to enjoy the hot water Jacuzzi in candle lit room, to relax and unwind. You will be greeted with fresh cut fruits and green tea and their lounge area dreaming of your bed waiting desperately to get home and sleep, which I did very soundly that night. Spa Yoga by Jawed Habib
To relax and renew is vital for living. Spa Yoga provides a complete luxuriate experience with their services like body massage, scrubs, body polish and facials. All the products they use are in house Jawed Habib products that promise to give you a much needed pamper session and glow. The ambience is very cozy, red and cream details in interiors give you a very majestic vibe. Welcoming with lime water, the staff is humble and hospitable. The first part of the session was a typical feet wash, where they dip your feet in water filled with rose petals and rinse them well. We were then escorted to our massage room, where the masseuse began the treatments. We choose to go with ‘Manipura Abhyanga’ for body; the name translates to beautiful and shining in Sanskrit. The treatment that lasted 60 minutes helps to balance and energize the Manipura chakra, it’s kind of healing therapy that triggers the body’s health by reliving of any stress and knots. The aromatic scents will fill your senses and leads you into de-stress zone. Next step was body scrub, we chose to go for it as a seprate treatment but they do offer some really good package deals. ‘Shukla’ the heavenly body scrub massage lasted for 30 minutes and was simply phenomenal, the blend of Amalki, Yashti-madhu, Vrikshamla, Manjishtha and Shwet Chandan not just lightens the skin tone and nourishes it with Vitamin C but also makes one skin alluringly beautiful, I could feel my skin a lot softer, almost immediately. I was sent off for a good 10 minutes steam, to let my skin absorb all the goodness of essential oils and benefit maximum out of my treatment. I love when they have steam attached to your room, instead of going to some other space, after all its all about extra comfort. the last treatment was the Whitening facial called ‘Shukla’ which is a blend of Amalki, Yashtimadhu, Vrilshamla, Manjistha and Shwet Chandan, an exclusively unique therapy for 60 minutes that lightens the complexion and gives a soft even tone skin. Our treatment ended with some much needed nuts and ginger lemon tea, boosting our immune system and ready to spend rest of the day in relax mode. so if you need a break Spa yoga is place to head.
