This holiday season, Foncé Chocolatier and Café, had an exclusive unveiling of 1st annual “Chocolate Covered - November” chocolate sculpture. The chocolate sculpture was constructed by Deepa reddy along with two other talented chefs, who have been working on taking the art of chocolate to the next level. The intricate and distinctive sculpture is mark of the blast Foncé has made in the city of nizams in the last one year through varied chocolate experiences the brand has created. Tell us about Floof & co – how did you come up with the idea? I have two doggie sons and one human baby. During the lockdown last year (March 2020), my babies ran out of treats and I started baking them at home. Friends and family started sharing the treats with their puppies and in no time, these treats had a huge demand. The initial idea came after I noticed all kinds of unhealthy and processed food these guys were eating. That’s when I decided that this little healthy snack must reach every furry friend out there. Did you have pets? How did having a pet help you with the company? My mother was petrified of dogs and therefore I was too as a little girl. Went I was 10, we had gone on a family vacation to Nainital and stayed at a family friends house. They had a great Dane “Ramu” and he was always left free in the house. Initially, I was scared to pet him, but his owner made sure that he was treated nothing less than his own son. I had no choice but to share the couch with him that night. In no time he became so close to my heart that I was in tears to part with him. Ramu actually sat in our car asking us not to leave their house. That did it for me, I pestered my parents, for a pet and they gave in - I grew up with a lot of pets around me. You are celebrating your first anniversary, tell us about your milestone moments Floof & Co has made a mark by spending about 35000+ man-hours on manufacturing, testing and research to formulate perfectly handcrafted nutritious treats for our furry friends. We have baked over one lakh treats and celebrated many birthdays with pawlicious cakes & pup cakes. Our Signature is our meatloaf which makes every floofie drool over it. We have gotten similes on many faces and keep us going. Our aim is to treat every pet as a “human child or higher”. In our busy lives, we often forget how much our pets give us and I am sure all pet owners like me agree when I say - they need to be treated for it equally. How has the brand grown since its inception? We have made a conscious effort in catering to all seasonal needs and have come up with festive hampers from time to time, every quarter we add new products and our pawty celebration cake has received an overwhelming response amongst our Floof buddies. We have also launched our fashion segment recently called “Floof fashion “which has a varied range of tuxedos, sherwanis, bows and lots of bandanas. We hear your company is an all-female organization, tell us a bit more about it I strongly believe in women empowerment and would like to support as many women as I can. Empowering women change the face of the world and I am just doing a tiny bit of it. We started with a 3 member team, now we are about 10 women and 2 men. We believe in equality and the right to employment. How do you spend your time, when not working? I am a mother first and then a businesswoman. So, all my free time is for my kids or for research on their needs. Where do you see Flood & Co in the next 2 years? We aim to partner with pet-friendly places and enter into various pet-related fields. Floof & Co aims to be a one-stop destination for all pet needs.

Best for the Last “Save the best for the last”, a desert is a course that concludes a meal. It consists of sweet foods ranging from cookies to custards to ice creams to chocolates and much more. The term “desert” is synonymous with “pudding”, “sweet”. Dessert was derived from the French word “desservir” which means “to clear the table". It is usually served when the table is cleared from other dishes. Each country has their own speciality in deserts that vary in taste, texture and appearances. Many cultures have varieties of deserts. Variation in deserts depends on the region and culture of the place. Kulfi is a frozen dessert that is originated from India in the 16th century. It is famous in the Middle East like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan etc. Kulfis are creamier than ice creams and it had with authentic flavors like mango, cardamom, kesar and many more. Bombay kulfi is the oldest and most authentic brand in Hyderabad. With around 13 outlets in all parts of the city, they are also the most easily available and customer friendly brand. The Varities at Bombay Kulfi is extravagant. Their flavours include a mix of fruity flavours along with rich dry fruit flavours. The Kesar- pista, mast malai, badam pista, roasted almond and mango flavours are a must try. They also have seasonal special kulfis like the custard apple, real strawberry, juicy litchi etc. These flavours are so fresh and so creamy and tasty that you will be left wanting more once you are done. Bombay Kulfi also prides itself in selling sugar free kulfis for diet conscious and diabetic customers. All of their Kulfis can either be relished in stick form, slice form or in the form if family packs.They also have something called The Fruit Salad which is many Hyderabadis’ Favorite. It is served with fresh custard and fruits. All in all, the place is a must try as it is worth the price and pocket friendly too. Van Lavino
A vintage ambience is something that everyone loves. Its interiors are a lovely brown and gold finishing. They have stunning sofas and chairs. They serve delicious food and desserts that are made all around the world. Van Lavino is one of the best places to taste yummy desserts and I’m sure it’s going to be worth it. It has a different mould of allowing the crowd to taste the flavoursome candies in town. From Quake Shakes to Cakes, The Classic Oreo shake is wonderfully made with Oreo Biscuits, Vanilla Ice Cream and Milk which is wholly blended to give a smoothy finishing and look to the shake. Caramel lovers should try out the Caramel Cheesecake at Van Lavino. We relished over a Caramel Dessert for the first time and we definitely will be going back for their Caramel Cheesecake. The Caramel Cheesecake was eye-candy and not missing out on the Blueberry Cheesecake which was amazing too the cheese filling was good and we enjoyed all the desserts at Van Lavino. Cream Stone was launched in Hyderabad in 2006 and to date, it is one of the best places to visit for the best ice creams. The variety of flavours in Ice Cream is a bit confusing for every customer to choose the best one. Located at one of the central areas of Hyderabad, Budapest bakehouse just like it’s name serves food and desserts in a very unique way. Everything you order here is served to you in a cone- yes a cone! It is most famous for the number and variety in icecreams. A few of their must try Chimney cone flavors include the OG cone with vanilla iceccream and chocolate syrup, oreo chimney with powdered oreo topped off with vanilla and chocolate ice cream and oreo cookies, red velvet with icecream and chunks of red velvet brownie popping out etc. The ambience at Budapest has a very chill vibe with high chairs, red walls and latest music. Ohris is a restaurant, it serves meals, sweets and sundaes. The ambience and the lighting are very soothing and very family-oriented restaurant. The restaurant serves very tasty food too and Ohris serves very fancy Ice Cream. The Titanic Ice Cream at Ohris has 7 cubes of different flavours of Ice Cream like Vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, mango, Vanilla and a topping of Mango with wafers. We tasted the Classic Awful Awful which is a combination of Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Cream and nuts as the topping, the quality and quantity were a 10/10. The fudge brownie jar is tasty and healthy, it is a jar with chocolate fudge and a brownie, we loved it the most and it was very smooth and yummy. Concu
Concu is a café located in the heart of Hyderabad, at Jubilee Hills. It has very comfy, elegant, bright lighting and vibrant colours. It serves European Desserts. Many people who visited Concu loved the Tiramisu the most. They also relished other desserts like cheesecake, Choco fudge, chocolate éclair and many other mouthwatering Desserts. We visited Concu and we loved the ambience at it. It had the perfect vibe for the perfect day with the most delicious desserts in the city. The Tiramisu at Concu is the best, we enjoyed it the most. Every bite of the dessert was a relishing one. My friends and I really enjoyed the Tiramisu and the Chocolate Macaroons. The coffee and the rum taste in the Tiramisu had a perfect blend. Everyone who visits Concu should NEVER miss tasting the Tiramisu. I am sure a lot of cake lovers exist in Hyderabad and they should taste the Rich Chocolate Hazelnut as It will make all the chocolate lovers go crazy and it’s got a plus point which is; it has a good amount of hazelnuts in them. The chocolate éclair itself is tasty and at Concu it is amazing as the whipped cream and chocolate was very well balanced. It serves Turkish Desserts which proves its love for the Turkish culture. It opened its first outlet in Telangana and later in Banjara Hills with grandeur that is symbolic of the Middle East flavour. It was established by Imtiaz Ali Siddiqui, a famous figure in the food and social circles, a food connoisseur of proven expertise in the business. The deserts contain ingredients that are found in abundance in the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Chocolate is everyone’s Favorite and the chocolate room stands in the best places of Hyderabad to taste the tastiest chocolates ever! The chocolate room’s interest is to serve chocolate in the most unique way of tasty chocolate. It is so obvious that The Chocolate Room has the yummiest chocolate available in Town. It has excessive chocolate in all their dishes. The Chocolate Room is known for its chocolate flavour. To start off with we tasted the cookie crumble which was a good blend of cappuccino and chocolate chip cookies which were crunchy and tasty. The hazelnut delight had an incredible mix of hazelnuts, vanilla Ice Cream and Milk which was lip-smacking. The Tiramisu at The Chocolate Room is mouth-watering and a must-try. The bounty shake is definitely a must-try which has vanilla Ice Cream topped with whipped cream and coconut flakes at the top. The Brownie Sundae was a feast to our eyes as it was a crispy brownie dipped with chocolate syrup and a scoop of vanilla Ice Cream. The Hot Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream is such an amazing combination and every chocolate lover should visit THE CHOCOLATE ROOM. Thick shake factory is popular for their thick shakes and milkshakes. Thick shake Factory stands alone as a champion of ThickShakes and Milkshakes since 2013. They make the most smooth and well-blended shakes. When we visited the thick shake factory, we ordered the Belgium Chocolate ThickShake which stands the best on our list, it was very nice, delicious, the consistency of the shake was too good, there was lovely Belgium Chocolate Taste with some Choco Chips and The Ferro Rocher Shake was amazing too as it was so to the point of having the Ferrero rocher chocolates in our shakes with some chocolate ice cream which gave the thick consistency of the shake. The ambience at ThickShake Factory is very friendly. They serve the shakes in orange cups and orange straws with the label of thick shake on them. It is also pocket friendly and it has many branches all around the city. Famous Ice Cream is the best and oldest place in Hyderabad for desserts. It is located at Nampally at Mozamjahi Market. Famous Ice Cream was founded in 1955 with a small ice cream joint. The growth of the small ice cream shop led to a chain of ice cream shops in the city. They believed in giving the best quality of Desserts to their customers and it was open to everyone. Elders, teenagers, kids everybody loves famous ice cream as it has the best quality of ice cream and best flavours. Going back to famous ice cream is always a very nostalgic feeling because we all visited it as children and many memories were created there. They have an extreme variety of desserts like Ice Creams, Faluda, Kulfi, Cassatta, Fruit Ice Creams, Shakes, Ice Cream Cakes, Soda, Fruit Salads etc and the flavours are varied from Mango, Vanilla, Chocolate, Tutti Fruity, Kesar, Chiku, Litchi, Badam, Strawberry, Pineapple, Custard Apple, Red Grape and much more. They use fresh ingredients in their desserts and shakes which makes us really happy to know that everything is healthy and clean. Theobroma means ‘Food of the Gods’ in Greek, befitting our exclusive and indulgent range of offerings that include brownies, cakes, desserts, chocolates, slices of bread and savouries. Theobroma is most loved for the yummiest brownies in the city. They have many stores across India and Hyderabad. The brownies are very appetizing and many people in Hyderabad choose to buy brownies from Theobroma. Theobroma has an extravagant stretch of food from pastries, cupcakes, brownies, sandwiches, cakes and more. When we went to Theobroma first, we tasted was the Lemon Tart which was lovely and we tasted the chocolate and red velvet cupcake which was so fresh and melted in our mouth. The butter croissant at Theobroma was crispy and delicious. We have tasted Butter Croissant’s all over the city and Theobroma was one where we enjoyed it the most. The brownies at Theobroma are yum-yum, they are the best which again there’s a variety of them. We love the Walnut and the Choco chip brownie the most. The Fresh Cream Pineapple Pastry we loved and relished. The Banana Cake is my favourite. While the meaning behind this tradition is not known, it is so famous that roads are blocked off from the traffic, so that its easier for people to roller skate, sing carols and visit the church. Pickle in the Christmas tree or should I say spider tree?
An ancient legend narrates the story of how a poor family dreamed of various ways in which they would decorate the tree. However, due to lack of money, they could not decorate the tree. However the children wake up to discover that spiders had spun webs of silk that had magically turned into silver and gold all around the tree branches. Since then people of Ukraine decorate the Christmas tree in Spider Webs in the hope of a miracle. Another quirky tradition to the Christmas tree is that the head of the family hides a pickle in the tree, the first person to find it gets a special present.
One of my favorites, something new and something to look forward to is a new year’s ritual where close friends come together and write a list of things they look forward to for the next year. Once the list is done, its sealed in a jar away for a year and reopened on the next new year’s eve, where they all gather around to discuss how correct they were about their prediction and goals that they wanted to achieve. From being famously recognized as Anandi to having 8 films lined up in Tollywood, how has your journey been? Been a roller coaster I’m proud of! I look forward to learning new things every day and I’m in gratitude always for the kind of love I have been receiving for so many years. Really grateful.
How did your career in acting start? Has acting always been a passion of yours? At first, it was all just a hobby but slowly I realised cinema is what makes me feel the happiness and joy that nothing else can. And not just acting. Direction/ camera editing producing.. all these excite me equally. Acting is just the beginning. I was dancing in a mall and a casting director spotted me and that’s it! The journey began, I always wanted to be a choreographer, that’s how I entered the industry after being loved so much for my work on tv I started to focus on my craft as in the beginning it was all just a hobby as I was too young but soon after I realised the loved that I have for cinema, I would love to be in a part of the industry forever. So my love for movies is what inspired me to be a part of the industry. I’m not going to label myself just as an actress. I know I can do more and I will. I’ve already stepped into production and I truly love every bit of it. What is the turning point in your career? Balika was definitely the turning point! No one from my family is in the field, Nobody knew how big it would get especially with Balika. They were all happy and excited and I’m blessed to have a family who is equally excited for every movie that I’m a part of. I’m nothing without my family’s support & encouragement. In the beginning, I was so naive, I didn’t even know the meaning of trips. I used to go to school and then for shoots, the practice of remembering dialogues actually helped me remember my lessons in school. So yes the earlier days were pretty exciting. Apart from acting, what other major activities do you usually engage with? Dancing! Travelling and watching movies! I also like learning & reading a lot about filmmaking. | WELLNESS We are so busy and wandering without fully grasping the times we live in that millions of thoughts enter our heads each day. You maintain a mindfulness practice to take steps toward healing, learning about your emotions and thoughts, and focusing on your inner-self. Meditation is a patience-based technique that involves accepting silence and bringing serenity into one's life. Mediation was first used to better grasp life's holy and mystical powers. People now use this technique to connect with their inner selves and cultivate tranquilly in their lives. Though meditation cannot totally heal all mental, physical, and emotional suffering in life, it helps promote stress management, which is the core cause of medical and emotional problems. As you focus in to watch your breathing rate and body sensations, meditation helps all your jumbled ideas quiet down. The peace you experience throughout the session does not disappear when you leave it, but you will ultimately realise that you are being aware of your thoughts and feelings. Meditation may be performed in a variety of ways, and each individual may adapt to different kinds of meditation. For example, some people regard reading a book to be mediation, while others consider writing to be mediation. Body movement techniques such as dance and yoga are also considered mediation. You won't need any equipment to incorporate this healthy mindful practice into your daily routine, and you won't have to worry about finding the "perfect" method to meditate since there isn't one! The objective is to feel at ease and to know what works best for your lifestyle and daily routine. Meditation can be done in a variety of ways, including:
Find a comfortable position:
You must ensure that you are comfortable when seated, and as a novice, you must seek out a setting that is not distracting, such as your room, balcony, or a nearby park. You can either take a backrest, fold your legs, sit in a chair, etc., and let the calm wash over you.
Just breath:
While your mind wanders, grab hold of it and focus on your breathing. Inhale and exhale slowly and carefully, scanning your body for sensations, becoming aware of discomfort and tensions in your body, and releasing them while you exhale.
Chant your mantras:
You can recite phrases from your sacred books or even daily affirmations while paying attention to your feelings. Recognize yourself, your body, and your thoughts.
Be kind with your inner-child:
Don't condemn yourself or be too harsh with your thoughts if you lose focus or your mind stray. Refocus your attention once you've been recognised.
Close with gratitude:
You slowly open your eyes, or gently lift your gaze and look at the things around you, notice how you feel, mindful of your emotions. And, that’s it. The vibrations of patience and compassion toward oneself are the same vibrations needed in the world!

BOOKS Children of Blood and Bone
Nobody can disagree with the fact that I easily picked it up because of the title the author gave it. For a debut novel of the fantasy genre, this is a work of great penmanship. It is a huge novel, I am attracted to big books, hand down. But unlike most of the books that have an exceedingly ridiculous number of pages, this is super-fast paced and on the move. It is a reader’s story, as the author gave utmost importance to the characters, especially Zelie, a fierce warrior, followed by Amarie and her amazing transformation. The action, the war sequences, the battles were all beautifully illustrated with the use of great word play. The plot is wonderful, and close to impossible to predict what’s coming next. This saga has easily come to stand as my favorite this year, and I’d rate it a 4.8/5 with no hesitation.
The President is Missing
This was the most hyped book of the year. The copies flew away within hours of launch, and I just could not keep calm about it. This had to be on the shelves minutes after I read about it. James Patterson is a great author, while I could sense that most of the writing was done by him, he needed a guided expertise from the Political arena to complete the experience that a reader would want, hence, Bill Clinton. The novel kicks off with a ginormous threat that America will have to face. Somehow, authorities discover a threat from within the cabinet, this followed by the President being a suspect who then goes missing. The book is set in real time for about three days, where the president goes missing.
Circe
I have a weird obsession with Mythology, especially If it is Greek. This story is a great work of Greek fiction. Circe is a daughter born in the house of Helios, the Sun God, and the undefeatable Titan. Unlike other children of the Gods, Circe has no great powers to flaunt, and turns to the mortal world for companionship. Gradually, she discovers her powers of witchcraft, where she has the ability to turn any rival into a monster, and plant them against the Gods themselves. This threatens Zeus, who then banishes her to a deserted island. Circe then masters her powers when on the island.
