Es un placer para mí poder presentaros, un año más, nuestra revista 5 Lenguas, que con tanta ilusión y mimo hemos elaborado tanto el alumnado como el profesorado de la Escuela. En esta novena edición hemos incluido una selección de las actividades más representativas de cada departamento didáctico, así como las actividades interdepartamentales, que son el reflejo del trabajo en equipo y una apuesta por la fusión de las culturas y la convivencia.

Dedicamos también una sección a nuestros proyectos europeos e internacionales, fruto de la búsqueda de la mejora de la calidad de la enseñanza y un aumento de la motivación de nuestro alumnado.

Continuaremos desarrollando nuestro proyecto Erasmus+ KA122 «Emo-teaching»: Emotions as a Tool for Adult Language Teaching, que permitirá a varios docentes de la Escuela mejorar su formación en prestigiosas instituciones europeas. Gracias a nuestra acreditación como Centro de Acogida de Estancias Profesionales de Docentes Europeos, otorgada por nuestro enfoque innovador de la enseñanza de idiomas, volveremos a ser anfitriones de un docente alemán, con el que desarrollaremos un programa de actividades en diferentes idiomas.

Y, por supuesto, el departamento de inglés seguirá involucrado en el prestigioso proyecto internacional Connect, que combina el aprendizaje de la lengua inglesa con el uso de la tecnología y permite conocer a estudiantes de un total de 16 países.

Además, y con motivo de nuestro 25 aniversario, celebraremos varios actos a los que estáis todos invitados.

Quisiera desearos un feliz curso y agradecer a toda la comunidad educativa su esfuerzo, buena actitud, dedicación y unidad para contribuir a que nuestra Escuela siga siendo, año tras año, un referente en la enseñanza de idiomas de nuestra ciudad.

Wie viele Sprachen sprechen Sie?

Ich spreche Deutsch, Englisch und Spanisch und ich habe in der Schule Latein gelernt, aber das kann man nicht sprechen.

Warum haben Sie Spanisch gelernt?

Ich habe in der Schule nur Englisch und Latein gelernt und gemerkt, dass das sehr wenig ist, weil man Latein nirgends spricht und ich auch nicht so gut Englisch konnte. Daher wollte ich erst mein Englisch verbessern und dann noch eine andere Sprache lernen. Meine große Schwester spricht Spanisch. Mir hat die Sprache immer sehr gut

gefallen. Deshalb bin ich nach Lateinamerika gegangen, nach Ecuador, und habe gemerkt, dass das Land sehr schön ist, dass die Leute sehr nett sind und dass mir die Sprache gut gefällt und sie nicht so schwer zum Lernen ist. Dann habe ich gedacht: Ich möchte auf jeden Fall Spanisch lernen. Danach war ich noch in Mexiko. Ich war in beiden Ländern ein Jahr lang und habe dort mein Spanisch verbessert und gemerkt, dass es eine sehr, sehr schöne Sprache ist, dass sie in sehr vielen Ländern gesprochen wird und dass mir sowohl Spanien als auch Lateinamerika sehr gut gefallen und es auch sehr schön ist, wenn man mit den Menschen in ihrer Muttersprache sprechen kann.

Sprechen Sie über Ihr Land

Deutschland ist ein sehr vielseitiges Land. Was mir in Deutschland sehr gut gefällt, ist, dass wir sehr viele unterschiedliche Regionen haben, die sehr viele schöne Sachen bieten. Wir haben im Norden das Meer und das Tiefland, wo sehr viel Grün, sehr viele Wälder, sehr viele Seen sind. In der Mitte haben wir vor allem das Mittelgebirge mit Bergen, auf die man hochklettern kann. Im Süden haben wir die Alpen. Sie sind sehr hohe Berge und auch sehr schön. Außerdem haben wir in Deutschland nicht viele Rohstoffe, aber wir haben sehr viele Menschen, die sehr berühmt auch in anderen Ländern sind: bekannte Schriftsteller, Komponisten und Philosophen. Zum Beispiel in Ceuta kennt man auch deutsche Persönlichkeiten. Das hat mich sehr gefreut. Was ich schade finde, ist, dass wir das Meer nur im Norden haben. Ich gehe sehr gern ins Meer und in Ceuta hat mir sehr gut gefallen, dass das Meer fast überall ist. Aber was ich immer wieder merke, ist, wenn ich im Ausland war, komme ich sehr gerne wieder nach Deutschland zurück und denke: Auch in Deutschland ist es sehr schön.

Hauptunterschied zwischen der deutschen und der spanischen Lebensweise

Ich denke, der Hauptunterschied ist weniger die Lebensweise, sondern die Art, wie die Menschen sind. Wir sind in Deutschland ein bisschen vorsichtig. Wir brauchen etwas Zeit, bis wir auf Menschen, die wir nicht kennen, zu gehen. Wir müssen erst Vertrauen aufbauen und dann sind wir sehr freundlich. In Ceuta war es sehr einfach, mit den Leuten ins Gespräch zu kommen, weil sie von Anfang an sehr offen sind und weil sie sich gefreut haben, dass da jemand aus einem anderen Land kommt. Sie haben sich sehr viel mit mir unterhalten und mich sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Ansonsten

zur Lebensweise: wir Deutschen sind sehr pünktlich. In Ceuta habe ich das Gefühl, dass die Sachen ein bisschen langsamer mit mehr Ruhe gehen. In Deutschland hat man manchmal das Gefühl, wir sind immer gestresst. Man muss sich immer beeilen. Wir sind Perfektionisten und die Qualität ist sehr wichtig, aber manchmal vergessen wir zu leben. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Leute in Ceuta auch ihre Arbeit ordentlich machen, aber sie genießen das Leben.

Wie gefällt es Ihnen in Ceuta?

Mir gefällt es sehr gut in Ceuta, ich war beeindruckt. Also, Ceuta ist zwar eine nicht so große Stadt, aber auf kleinem Raum gibt es sehr viel zu sehen. Mir gefällt vor allem das Meer sehr gut: Man kann zu drei Richtungen das Meer sehen und jeder Strand ist anders. Ich finde sehr schön, dass es sehr unterschiedlich ist, obwohl es auf sehr engem Raum ist. Dann gefällt mir auch sehr gut, dass es sehr viele Museen gibt. Die Menschen sind sehr offen und man kann sich gut mit ihnen unterhalten, da sie auch sehr interessiert sind. Das Essen hat mir auch sehr gut geschmeckt.

Was schmeckt Ihnen am besten?

Ich mag allgemein sehr gerne Tapas, weil sie sehr klein sind und man dann verschiedene Sachen probieren kann. Ich mag auch sehr gerne Serranoschinken, die unterschiedlichen spanischen Käsesorten und die Fleischspieße. Es gibt auch verschiedene Kuchen, die sehr lecker sind und die Tostadas zum Frühstück. Das marokkanische Essen habe ich auch probiert, aber ich habe mir leider die Namen nicht merken können.

Es ist auch sehr schön, dass es viel Einfluss von Marokko und Spanien gibt. Deshalb kann man sehr unterschiedliche Sachen sehen. Vielen Dank für Ihre Zeit und für das Interview.

LOCKDOWN

Oliver arbeitete im Stadtzentrum. Jeden Tag trug er seinen dunklen Anzug, seine eleganten Schuhe und ging um 7:00 Uhr zur Arbeit. Um 8:00 Uhr kam er im Büro an, wo er 8 Stunden täglich verbrachte, Montag bis Freitag und einen Samstag pro Monat.

Er mochte seine Arbeit. Ehrlich gesagt, mochte er am liebsten seinen Lohn, aber seine Arbeit auch. Obwohl seine Aufgaben nicht so interessant wie früher waren, gefiel ihm die Sicherheit.

Einkaufen am Dienstag, Kino am Mittwoch und „Tatort” am Sonntag. Alles war in seinem Leben in Ordnung. Trotzdem änderte sich alles im März 2020.

Als er nach dem Landhaus seiner Eltern umzog, fühlte er sich beunruhigt. Wie war die Internetverbindung dort? Durfte er fernarbeiten? Die Welt war gleichzeitig zu still und schrecklich.

„Ich werde verrückt”, dachte Oliver. „Spazieren. Nun”.

Erst mal seit er ein Kind war, lief er im Wald. Die Natur wurde grüner, die Schneeglöckchen blühten. Oliver setzte sich auf einen Stein und sah sich um. Man konnte nur den Wind durch die Baumblätter hören.

Später würde Oliver sich Sorgen machen. Aber jetzt noch nicht.

El mar blanco

Una vez, mis amigas y yo fuimos al mar Blanco como todos los años. Allí nos encantaba bañarnos porque era un sitio muy tranquilo. Pero un día vi algo raro, había mucha gente alrededor del mar. Cuando me sumé a esas personas, me di cuenta de que estaban mirando unas ballenas que salían del mar. Eran una preciosidad. Mis amigas me dijeron que era muy raro, que allí nunca se había visto algo así. A partir de ese año, mucha gente fue a visitar el mar Blanco, porque a las personas les gusta mucho todo lo que tiene que ver con la naturaleza. A los turistas les gusta mucho visitar sitios como este donde hay animales salvajes. Cada vez va más gente a la playa del mar Blanco, y llevan a sus niños. Además, hay muchos animales. No solo ballenas, sino también focas y tiburones. Todo comenzó aquel año.

El pantano en la montaña

Mi abuelo me contaba una historia de un monte grande en el que había muchos árboles. Algunos eran frutales, otros daban frutos secos. Además, en ese monte había un pantano muy misterioso donde la gente iba a pasar los calurosos días de verano a la sombra de los árboles. Otras personas se dedicaban a andar rodeándolo. Todos disfrutaban del agua fresquita del pantano. Se bañaban y disfrutaban mucho. Hasta que llegó un día en que apareció una especie de hada del pantano en una roca que había en medio del agua. La gente empezó a asustarse. Muchos no podían creerse que aquello fuera real, pero sí, lo era. El hada del pantano siempre aparecía cuando todos estaban distraídos. Si alguna persona iba a buscarla, no se mostraba en meses. Sin embargo, cuando la gente se dedicaba a disfrutar sin pensar demasiado, de repente, allí estaba el hada sobre la roca. Mi abuelo y sus amigos tuvieron la suerte de verla una vez, y esta historia me la contaba repetidas veces cuando yo era niña.

L´être humain

Il était une fois un cerisier où un petit garçon avait l’habitude de jouer. Il l’aimait beaucoup, car il pouvait l’escalader, cela lui donnait de l’ombre et de la nourriture. Mais avec le temps, le petit garçon grandit et ne joua plus jamais autour de l’immense arbre. Un jour, le garçon revint et entendit l’arbre lui dire :

– Je suis très triste, joue avec moi.

Mais le garçon répondit :

– Je ne suis plus le même garçon qui jouait dans l’arbre. Maintenant, je veux des jouets et j’ai besoin d’argent pour les acheter.

«Je suis désolé,» dit l’arbre. Je n’ai pas d’argent, mais tu peux prendre mes cerises et les vendre. De cette façon, tu auras de l’argent pour tes jouets.

Le garçon était très heureux et commença à couper les cerises, les vendit et obtint l’argent. Ainsi, l’arbre était à nouveau heureux. Mais le garçon ne revint pas après avoir vendu les fruits, alors l’arbre était de nouveau triste. Quelque temps plus tard, le garçon -maintenant tout à fait un homme- revint et l’arbre était content de le voir. Il lui dit:

- Tu viens jouer avec moi ?

«Je n’ai pas le temps de jouer, répondit-il. Je dois travailler pour ma famille, car j’ai besoin d’une maison pour ma femme et mes enfants.» Peux-tu m’aider?

L’arbre répondit :

-Je n’ai pas de maison pour toi, mais tu peux couper mes branches et en construire une avec mon bois.

L’homme coupa toutes les branches de l’arbre et, malgré le sacrifice, cela rendit l’arbre heureux. Cependant, après avoir construit sa maison, l’homme ne revint pas et l’arbre se sentit à nouveau triste et seul.

Une chaude journée d’été, l’homme revint et l’arbre demanda avec joie : -Veux-tu jouer avec moi?

-Non. Je suis triste parce que je vieillis. Je veux un bateau pour naviguer et me reposer. Pourrais-tu m’en donner un?

L’arbre répondit :

-Je n’ai pas de bateau, mais tu peux utiliser ma malle pour en construire un pour pouvoir naviguer et être heureux.

L’homme abattit le tronc et construisit son bateau où il navigua longtemps. Après de nombreuses années, il revint finalement avec l’arbre, mais l’arbre, inquiet, lui dit :

Je suis désolé, je n’ai plus rien à te donner. Je ne peux pas te donner de l’ombre, des pommes ou du bois.

L’homme répondit :

Je n’ai pas de dents pour mordre ni la force de grimper. Je suis aussi vieux.

«Je ne peux vraiment rien te donner», dit l’arbre avec tristesse dans ses mots. Il ne me reste plus que mes racines.

«Je n’ai pas besoin de grand-chose en ce moment, juste un endroit pour me reposer,» répondit l’homme. Les vieilles racines d’un arbre sont le meilleur endroit où s’allonger après tant d’années.

L’homme s’assit près des racines de l’arbre, et l’arbre redevint heureux.

Cabane

Héléna vient de rentrer du congé, il y avait beaucoup de tâches à gérer, surtout après que le divorce est devenu officiel. Elle ne pouvait que penser à son petit Thomas, qui était chez ses grands-parents, que j’ai hâte de lui revoir, se dit-elle.

Ayant enfourché sa moto elle se rend compte que le parking du commissariat était plus occupé que d’habitude. Chelou.

Elle se rend directement au bureau de sa chère Lu.

-T’y croirais jamais Lena ! - Elle lui raconte qu’ils avaient trouvé un corps dans une cabane il y a quelques jours et ils avaient le coupable.- Et t’es en charge du dossier !

…

La porte se verrouille alors qu’elle s’installe. L´homme avait l’air épuisé. Héléna s’est calée contre le dossier:

- Je vais aller droit au but. On trouve un cadavre emballé dans du plastique mardi à 18h dans une cabane, puis on vous voit ouvrir la clôture l’entourant ayant en votre possession des clés qui déverrouille sa porte.

-Juste ça.

-L’enjeu s’avère compliquée pour vous, monsieur. -Madame, ce n’est que l’hasard qui m’a menotté. Il y a mille autres raisons pour lesquelles j’aurais pu finir ici.

-Bon, j’assume que vous avez votre propre version du « récit ».

-Bien sûr. Tu vois, moi, je suis assez déséquilibré. En fait, ça ne me dérange pas d’être en taule. Cependant, j’avoue que le chef d’œuvre n’était pas à moi. L’auteur était un pro, le corps était complètement sec, il avait vidé tout le sang. C’était sûrement quelqu’un brillant. Peut-être une femme en colère qui a divorcé de son merdique de mari, et qui est une sociopathe – Il pause-. Je crois que cette photo t’appartient.

Avant de voir la photo de Thomas, Héléna se demandait comment il avait fait pour assembler les morceaux de son ex-mari qu’elle avait pris sur elle de cacher.

Ma prof française de français

Une fois il me donna 10/10, une note peu ordinaire, sinon carrément extraordinaire, ce qui souleva beaucoup de questions, des dires d’étonnement et d’étonnés !!!!

Parmi eux, un jeune homme de ma famille qui faisait un bac lettres modernes stupéfié d’apprendre que son petit cousin d’à côté avait eu une note peu commune, surtout aux épreuves de rédaction écrite .. C’était alors qu’il me demanda de lui obtenir un rendez-vous avec mon prof de français..Et je vous laisse le soin de deviner les échos d’un tel événement :

D’une part un jeune homme brillant préparant son bac lettres modernes ambitieux et plein de défis et qui avait soif pour s’infirmer en l’occurrence, mon cousin.

D’autre part, une jeune femme prof de langue française très professionnelle, ambitieuse et qui cherchait à s’imposer comme jeune femme prof … Et le débat commença entre eux de la manière la plus respectueuse et la plus écoutée par beaucoup d’élèves intéressés et plus encore des curieux de tout coin estudiantin. Le débat était sur le fameux thème sujet de la rédaction écrite qui était “quel est le rôle de la femme dans l’Islam ”.

C’est une histoire vécue il y a fort longtemps, dans les années 70.

A l’époque j’étais au collège et j’avais 13-14 ans .. J’étais dans une classe un peu spéciale car elle regroupait des élèves, le moindre qu’on puisse dire d’eux c’est qu’ils étaient particuliers, vue leur âge et peu commodes. En ce sens, qu’ils étaient de jeunes hommes de villages lointains …Et j’étais parmi les plus jeunes entre eux, courtois et sollicité par mes profs à l’époque …Dans ce contexte un peu hors norme nous eûmes comme prof de français une jeune du même âge que la plupart de notre groupe, sinon plus jeune que nous. Elle était très professionnelle et bien aimable. Par conséquent, tout notre groupe et même tout le staff professionnel et administratif était sous son charme et aussi son professionnalisme…. Et c’était grâce à elle que la plupart de notre groupe aimait le français …Et j’étais, bien sûr, parmi les premiers intéressés et elle m’encouragea tout particulièrement, intensément surtout pour les épreuves des rédactions écrites….

Ils avaient débattu une bonne heure de débat très constructif. Finalement le cousin lui demanda: Après toute discussion, si je vous fais une rédaction combien me donneriez-vous comme note et plus si un écrivain célèbre vous écrit sur le sujet : Combien vous alliez noter puisque déjà vous aviez un 10/10 à un élève de 3e ?

Et c’était la question que tout le monde attendait !!! C’est très simple, répondit la prof.

Je vous noterai chacun selon votre niveau culturel et académique.

Vous en tant qu’étudiant lettres modernes …et peutêtre que je vous donnerais un 7 ou 8/10

Car en fait dans le débat vous avez bien détaillé les grandes idées évoquées par votre petit cousin !!!

De la même façon je noterais un écrivain, selon ses écrits, ses œuvres littéraires et plus qu’il ajouterait …

Et c’est comme ça que j’aime toujours la langue française, un amour qui s’étend sur un ensemble de touches françaises spécifiques et authentiques mais, existent-elles encore?

WHY I LIKE

When I decided to study English, I thought of this type of learning because I had been recommended, and after two years studying at That’s English I can only say positive aspects.

First, being a distance learning course, you can organize yourself differently than having to attend classes more times a week.

Second, the textbooks are very complete, grammar is very well explained and you can learn a lot of vocabulary.

Then, I really liked lessons in which we have practised the different skills and where we have learned the most.

Finally, I want to thank our teacher because she has always been motivating us and helping us not to give up on this very difficult path of learning a language.

I have been studying English this year in the E.O.I and I’m glad.

I searched for this kind of education because I am working so I can’t go to class every day.

I have had a good year with my teacher and my classmates and I want to repeat this experience next year.

First of all, I chose this kind of learning because I would have the opportunity to study English with a flexible timetable. Besides, I also have the possibility to get the official B1 level in one year.

This method allows me to ask the teacher doubts once a week and I can prepare a monologue and a dialogue in which I can speak English with my partners.

That’s English! is a good method to learn and improve your English, because there are a lot of explanations in the books and we can also write and do exercises that will be corrected by our teacher.

I would certainly recommend it.

The class is perfectly organised to practise all the skills we need to improve the language we study. The books are very well designed and the units are very complete; each unit focuses on one interest and allows you to expand your vocabulary with videos, listening comprehensions, questions, readings, writings and you will always find some grammar to improve your language level. Our teacher organizes the class very well and always motivates us to keep up learning English!

You are given the books, which are made by people who know a lot of English, they are quite good and complete, not to mention the teachers, who will be willing to help you. Why are you staying in Ceuta at the moment?

I am studying a degree in English and I’m currently doing a university project about how to learn a language, in my case, Spanish. For this reason, I’m studying Spanish at the Official Language School and I’m certainly enjoying it.

What do you like about Ceuta?

I really like Ceuta because it is very different from Great Britain. Above all, I adore the soft climate because it is never too hot or cold. I also love the people because you are really friendly and culturally diverse. I like Ceuta’s geographical location, as it is between Morocco and the peninsula. And another important thing for me is that everything is near, so you can walk everywhere.

What do you usually do every day?

I work in a public school teaching English to young students. At the moment, I’m doing a challenge about reading, and I spend about five hours a day reading books in English. I’m certainly learning a lot.

What should we do to improve our English?

In my opinion, you should ask a lot of questions. Asking questions is very important to learn a language, moreover, you should talk, and make conversations to practice. And also you should read books and listen to the radio, or watch videos to improve your listening skills.

In your opinion, is it really necessary to travel abroad to learn a language? Why/why not?

Sure, you really need to travel abroad to experience the culture, to learn vocabulary, to meet people with different accents… This is exactly what I’m doing here in Ceuta. Being here is great to improve my Spanish.

The little snowman felt lonely in the middle of the night. He felt cold. Not that kind of cold, of course. Snowmen do not have body temperature. It was rather a spiritual cold, like from the soul. Little John had taken care that he had everything a good snowman should have: a big carrot nose, a hat with a tassel, goggles, a moustache made of fir branches, arms made of chestnut branches... And yet something was missing. That snowman wanted to be human more than anything else in the world.

During the day, our snowman would remain motionless and let himself be decorated by John and the other children. At night, when the streets were deserted, the snowman loosened his body and practiced under the stars how to be a human being. At first he only imitated the gestures he saw in people. Later he learned to walk, to speak, to make faces in front of the mirror of frozen puddles. So much was applied that very soon he was able to pass himself off as any person. On one occasion, he even dressed up and visited the supermarket, just to have the opportunity to exchange a few words with a real person, even if it was from the other side of a ski mask.

All of that was fine for a while. But the day came when it was no longer enough. His nocturnal excursions, his nocturnal monologues, his laughing and crying practices were nothing more than an artifice. He needed to feel like a real human being, really be a person. He thought he had learned everything... What could he be missing?

The answer came as if by magic. One day the children of the neighbourhood faced each other in a pitched snowball battle. They erected barricades and launched projectiles at each other all afternoon. Our snowman silently cheered for John’s team. That is why when he was definitively defeated; he felt that defeat as his own. Especially after the humiliating ball in the face that the poor child had taken.

As John tearfully retreated from the battlefield, our snowman could feel his disappointment and anger. It was a new feeling for him. I had never empathized before with another person’s feelings. A chill ran down his spine. Puzzled, he looked down at his hands. They were flesh and bone and shivered with cold.

The great statue of Hercules

A great statue of Hercules was installed twenty years ago in the center of our city.

Hercules is a mythological deity in the Hellenistic culture. He was the fruit of the relationship between the God Zeus and the human Queen Almecna and for that reason ( having a mixed nature) he had to fight a lot throughout his life.

However, from that fight we can learn the principles and values that lighted his life, which are the followings:

A leader always teaches and helps his team.

Working in a team is more efficient than working alone.

Money is never the most important thing in life.

Being honest in life is the best way to make the correct choice.

The future depends on yourself and consequently you must always make the correct decisions.

The question is: are these principles and values ancient or modern?

The answer may be that they are eternal.

The Desnarigado Castle

This castle has got an interesting history and you can enjoy amazing views from here. It is located on the coastal edge of the southern front of Mount Hacho. It has an area of 1280 square meters.

The castle of the Nose-less has its origin in the need to control a cove near Ceuta that was a regular meeting place for pirates from Morocco. One of these pirates gives the name to both the cove and the fortress.

The castle was later abandoned until 1983, when it was restored and made into a Military Museum.

People can visit it from 10.00 to 14.00 and the entrance is free. Inside the museum, there are pieces of interest of artillery, engineering, military communications, the campaigns in Africa and the Spanish Civil War (1939 1936).

For me, this is the most beautiful photo from Ceuta, it is not a place, it is just the situation, the view. In Ceuta, you can see the sea on both sides of the city, the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and it is extraordinary and exceptional because of the isthmus it forms.

We live observing how the East and West winds transform our coastline, even sometimes limiting our ability to travel but nevertheless, in Ceuta we adore both the sea and the wind.

I have recently read a very interesting book called A kiss before dying. It was written by the American novelist Ira Levin. It is a mystery and romantic story about a handsome young man whose goal was to marry one of the three daughters of the Kingship family. His plans did not go as he wanted and he murdered two sisters. When he was going to marry the last daughter, the family found out the truth. In the end, he fell in the terrible vat of molten copper.

I recommend you this novel because it is very exciting and a real page turner.

I’ve read a book called Pride and Prejudice. The book was written by the British novelist Jane Austen in 1813. It’s a romantic novel about a beautiful lady, named Elizabeth. One day, the family receives news about renting one of the properties and that is how they can meet Mr. Bingley. Jane, Elizabeth’s sister, falls in love with Bingley at a party and her mother wants to marry all her daughters to someone rich. At the party, Elizabeth meets Darcy, Bingley›s friend. Darcy falls in love with Elizabeth but she rejects him a couple of times. Elizabeth has to overcome her prejudices in order to live with Darcy.

In my opinion, it’s a good book and a beautiful story. I totally recommend it.

I quite liked this book, it is a very interesting genre and there are many things to discover. In this particular one, there is a little more mystery and crime. It is thought that the main suspect is the one who killed a family member, but little by little the real murderer is discovered. There are many main suspects, but only two of them are the real killers.

It is one of the best books I have read in a long time and I highly recommend it.

I recommend you this book because it is very exciting, easy to read and very short.

I have recently read a very interesting book called Bleak House. It was written by the English novelist Charles Dickens. Esther Summerson is the main character of this story. Esther was left when she was born, and John Jarndyce has been looking after her since then. They live with other relatives: Ada Clare y Richard Carstone. The plot revolves around a judicial process of an inheritance. They lived through lots of experiences during the process.

I recommend this novel because it is a very interesting story. Besides, the novel has wonderful descriptions that immerse you in the story

I have recently read a very interesting book called The Talented Mr Ripley. It was written by the American novelist Patricia Highsmith. It is a thriller story about a sociopathic man, Mr Ripley, who travels to Mongiobelo from the United States for a job. Moreover, he takes the opportunity to run away from the police for financial crimes. However, the target of the trip is looking for an old friend, Mr.Dickie, and persuading him to come back with his parents. He manages to become a close friend of Mr.Dickie and changes his life forever.

I recommend this novel because it is very interesting and you don’t expect the ending.

Emotions as a Tool for Adult Language Teaching EMO-TEACHING:

La Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Ceuta ya ha comenzado a ejecutar su proyecto europeo EmoTeaching: Emotions as a Tool for Adult Language Teaching con la visita de dos de sus profesoras a la Universidad Ljudska Univerza Rogaška Slatina. Durante esta estancia profesional, las docentes de la EOI tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir reflexiones y conocimientos sobre el aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras en las personas adultas con el profesorado de la Universidad de Rogaška Slatina, y sentaron las bases para establecer una futura colaboración de intercambio de alumnado entre ambas instituciones.

Esta estancia de observación profesional es la primera de las cinco movilidades formativas que contempla el proyecto Emo-Teaching: Emotions as a Tool for Adult Language Teaching, orientado a una mejor comprensión del papel que el componente emocional juega en el proceso de enseñanzaaprendizaje de una lengua extranjera. Está previsto que a lo largo del presente curso académico se lleven a cabo el resto de movilidades y, de este modo, varios profesores puedan beneficiarse de la experiencia de compartir conocimientos y reflexiones con otros colegas europeos. De momento, ya hay confirmadas dos de las cuatro estancias restantes.

La primera de ellas tendrá lugar el próximo mes de noviembre. Se trata de una movilidad de aprendizaje por observación en Roma durante la cual dos profesores de la EOI visitarán dos academias de idiomas y conocerán de primera mano la metodología que aplican con su alumnado adulto.

Por otro lado, a principios del mes de marzo una profesora realizará en Amsterdam un curso de formación sobre estrategias docentes para un aprendizaje creativo y participativo, estrategias en las que está muy presente la teoría de las inteligencias múltiples y su aplicación en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de un idioma extranjero.

Con este proyecto europeo, la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Ceuta pone de manifiesto su firme apuesta por la formación continua de su profesorado, con la adquisición de nuevos enfoques que propicien un ambiente afectivo adecuado para el aprendizaje e integren la perspectiva intergeneracional. Igualmente, se busca fomentar el diálogo y la reflexión con equipos profesionales de entidades europeas homólogas, logrando profesionales activos y comprometidos, que deseen compartir reflexiones y conocimientos para fortalecer el plurilingüismo en Europa.

La EOI de Ceuta finaliza su proyecto CONNECT

La Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Ceuta ha celebrado el acto de clausura del proyecto Connect, que venía desarrollando con gran éxito desde primeros de marzo. Las conclusiones arrojadas por los integrantes de este proyecto virtual indican que los objetivos del mismo se han cumplido satisfactoriamente, ya que se ha logrado aunar el aprendizaje de lengua, cultura y tecnología, y exponer al alumnado a situaciones reales en las que han utilizado activamente la lengua inglesa, a la vez que han aprendido curiosidades de diferentes culturas y conocido a alumnos de otros países, en un ambiente distendido y motivador.

En este proyecto la EOI de Ceuta ha colaborado con socios de diversas Universidades de Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Costa de Marfil, Filipinas, Israel, Japón, México, Polonia, Sri Lanka, Corea del Sur, Taiwan y Turquía, así como la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Antequera.

El proyecto se ha desarrollado en dos bloques, en los que han participado un total de 370 alumnos, de los

cuales 36 pertenecen a la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Ceuta. El alumnado se dividía en grupos de cinco, todos ellos de nacionalidades diferentes, y, con la ayuda de un profesor, han estado colaborando en un chat de Telegram con mensajes, audios y videos, dando su opinión sobre un tema propuesto que iba cambiando cada semana. Por ejemplo, la primera semana tuvieron que presentarse y hablar sobre su ciudad, con lo que se convirtieron en embajadores de Ceuta y aprendieron también sobre otras hermosas ciudades. Además, una vez a la semana ha tenido lugar una videoconferencia a través de Zoom para conversar en inglés e intercambiar opiniones sobre un tema acordado previamente. En todo momento, los alumnos han tenido un seguimiento continuo por parte de su tutora, quien les ha ido proporcionando el material de apoyo necesario según el bloque en el que estaban participando.

Debido a la alta participación y a los buenos resultados obtenidos, está previsto que el proyecto se vuelva a desarrollar durante el próximo curso.

Estancias profesionales de docentes europeos

La Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Ceuta ha acogido a la docente alemana Charlotte Wintterlin desde el 8 al 21 de mayo de 2022 dentro del programa de Centros de Acogida de Estancias Profesionales de Docentes Europeos en el que esta EOI lleva participando desde 2014.

Durante su estancia, la docente alemana ha impartido varias charlas sobre la historia, cultura y lugares de interés de Alemania y se han desarrollado tres videoconferencias con el instituto alemán (Ludwig Erhard Schule) en español, francés e inglés, en las que el alumnado de ambas instituciones se ha presentado, hablado sobre sus ciudades e intercambiado impresiones sobre su aprendizaje. Debido al interés suscitado por esta actividad, se ha acordado organizarla de nuevo durante el próximo curso.

Además, se han celebrado varias reuniones con los departamentos didácticos para intercambiar buenas prácticas y establecer vínculos para futuras colaboraciones. La labor didáctica en la Escuela se ha combinado con visitas guiadas en inglés y español a lugares emblemáticos de Ceuta, con el alumnado y profesorado de la Escuela. Durante la segunda semana, la profesora alemana ha sido recibida por la Directora Provincial y el Jefe de Programas del Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional, quienes han mostrado su apoyo a este programa y han destacado los beneficios que conlleva para el alumnado de ambas instituciones.

Todo el programa de actividades había sido acordado entre la EOI y la docente alemana antes del inicio de la estancia, lo que ha permitido una mejor organización y aprovechamiento de la misma.

Hola, soy Charlotte y mi visita a la EOI de Ceuta ha sido una experiencia fenomenal para mí. De hecho, ha sido mucho mejor de lo que me podría haber imaginado.

Me recibieron con mucho cariño y había un programa muy completo: hicimos charlas sobre Alemania que interesaron mucho a los alumnos, videoconferencias informales con mis alumnos en Alemania, fuimos a muchos lugares de interés cultural en Ceuta y también hemos disfrutado de unas vistas impresionantes.

Ha sido una visita inolvidable y he pasado muy buenos momentos con mis colegas y los alumnos - ¡todos muy, muy amables!

He aprendido mucho de la gente y de su hermosa ciudad.

¡Sin duda ninguna me encantaría volver!
