Professional Services Prospectus

Welcome

Welcome to our Professional Services brochure.

I am delighted that you are interested in finding out more information about what we offer. Professional Services encompasses business, law, coaching and mentoring.

Within business we currently offer CMI business management qualifications at level 3 and level 5, including L3 Team Leader, L5 Operations Departmental Manager and L3 Business Administration apprenticeships.

Within law we offer CILEX professional qualifications, legal apprenticeships and a career focused law degree. The latter is in partnership with Teesside University, affording students the perks of being a TU student with the added benefits of studying at one of our Etc. sites, Bede Sixth Form College. Our legal provision offers a wide range of progression opportunities, from paralegal/legal secretary through to Qualified Chartered Legal Executive/CILEX lawyer. In addition to this, we also offer the new L7 Litigator and Advocate Apprenticeship. This caters for people new to the profession, fast tracking law graduates or people with well established careers looking to upskill.

We have recently added the L5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeship to our portfolio offering, in response to the Local Skills Improvement Plan, which indicates a need in this area across the Tees Valley. This qualification will provide support to employers/employees so they feel equipped to hold high quality coaching conversations with staff. It is an opportunity for employers

to upskill the workforce and improve professional communication skills, therefore boosting recruitment and retention in staff.

We work closely with employers to offer a tailored programme to ensure that staff are upskilled with current knowledge and skills appropriate to their roles. Apprenticeships offer the chance for trainees to consolidate their learning during their off the job hours and apply their learning during their day to day role.

I hope you enjoy looking through this prospectus and get in touch if you require any further information.

Case studies

“I joined CILEX around three years ago and through the course, it has been difficult but the emotional support and guidance that Bede provides is second to none. I have experienced significant growth throughout this apprenticeship, especially considering I came straight from secondary school. The knowledge and confidence I have gained is phenomenal. I love being a part of CILEX and I am excited for my future ahead. I have transitioned from a legal secretary, legal assistant to a trainee legal executive and plan for further succession with CILEX.”

“I’m really enjoying the course and having the time to reflect on my own role whilst gaining the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to complete the criteria and develop my leadership skills. The apprenticeship is completely aligned to my current role which only enhances my skills and competency. When being requested to complete new tasks I have the knowledge of my apprenticeship to assist me.”

“Completing the apprenticeship has really made Vicki confident in utilising the knowledge she is learning in the apprenticeship day to day. Vicki is able to lead on tasks and is evidence of how she has grown since starting the team leader apprenticeship. Blending both work and learning together perfectly.”

“The CILEX Paralegal Apprenticeship opened a door for me to learn and gain a recognised qualification in the legal profession and to make myself a valuable member in my workplace. It has allowed me to think with an open mind and develop my knowledge and skills. Innersummit and my tutors are very supportive on my journey, and this is reinforced with the training and support I receive from my employer. I hope that with the hard work that I put in, I can further develop my career in this profession.”
