CONCEPT

For the interior i looked at rustic types of restaurents, a lot of what i found focused on a wood kind of asthetic.

Withe interesting bottles and serving platters.

For the website i looked at continuous scroll websites and higher end restaurants that all had a strong brand throughout. I discovered that the use of images was a strong aesthetic and was something id carry across into my own work.

For the branding i looked at rustic restaurants but also high end fine dining restaurants. As my idea developed i started to look at pizza restaurants as well.

To create a rustic restaurant that was typographically themed in some way. Through the use of rustic materials such as wood and bottles. A restaurant that provides something different for the person coming into the restaurant.

EXTERIOR For the exterior i looked at quite expensive high end restaurents or buliding like the Jamie Oliver restaurent, this then provides a contrast to the rustic inside.

Logo

Colour Choice

For my logo i was looking at glyphs and one of them for the typeface Zapfino had a PP which worked perfectly for my brand name, i could then creat a simpler logo to go with the main one that could be put across a number of different smaller things.

The typeface Zapfino helped creat a higher end looking logo.

The colours i selected helped create a high end looking restaurant and they both wored really well together, i then selected a off white paper so t would retain the rustic look i was going for.

.Product Range

Products I have created a range of products that tie in with the theme of a ‘rustic’ restaurant, the wood i have varnished to give it more of a oak touch. There is a serving board which would be used to present a pizza to table with the sleeve placed on it and then the pizza would be sliced served onto places which would be on the placemat that has been laser cut.

There is also a range of bottles, there is 2 house wines There is a seperate wine menu that has been tied on to red and white that have been printed on white antique the woodern board using thread in the corners. paper to fit in with the menus and a vinyl sticker has been printed on to the glass bottle. There is then a pizza box which has again been prnted on white antique paper , this was crated so people in the restaurant could then take away left over slices of pizza.

.Product Range

On this page there is the drinks menu that has been printed on white antique paper and so it fits in with the rustic feel of the restaurant as has the food menu and the receipt. They all follow the same color pallet so they work together. The receipt has contact information on and the name of the facebook name so people can search for the restaurant an increase its popularity.

There is also a stamp that could be used to emboss with of to stamp the logo on to different material. Also there is an image of all the products togeher, showing the rustuc theme but of a higher quality.

Interior

The exterior of the shop looks high end and provides a contrast to the rustic look within the restaurant. The logo is simple and effectife.

The interior of the restaurant is very rustic with a lot of wood and dark lighting.

SCROLL TO THE RIGHT FOR THE MENU

The website has images that are on a continuous scroll showcasing whats in the restaurant with an overlay of text that describes the restaurant. The menu page can also be scrolled to the right to view all aspects of the food and drink thats within the restaurant. There are another 3 pages, an about page, contact/bookings and a directions page, the contact page also has a twitter feed so it is more interactive and it will get people talking about the restaurant. All the pages are on a continuous scroll.

The website has a simple layout and has a simple scroll, there is also a very simple booking platfrom for people to use. There is images of the food and restaurent throughout given the viewer an insight to what they are booking into.
