Brief 1 Create a set of posters for a one off Empire magazine that works across a number of different languages. Considerations: I have to consider the different languages that are going to be used and the films that I choose. Also how i render the poster in a different language, while preserving its general look and character?
Deliverables: 8 posters, 4 in English and another 4 alternatives in different languages.
Brief 2 Create the brand identity for a film festival showcasing some of the best films of the last decade, set up by Nottingham Broadway Cinema. Considerations: I should consider the way finding around the event. The films that will be shown and how i can use there branding that is already in place alongside the event.
Deliverables: Tickets, timing schedule for films, book with information on the films, a guide, other film festival merchandise such as canvas bags and t shirts worn by staff.
Brief 3 Create a cookbook that has a range of simple recipes that use a small amount of ingredients to help get people cooking no matter their skill level. Considerations: Have to consider the language that is used if a beginner was going to reading it, using technical terms wont help. I also have to consider the imagery I will be using and how that might work across the pages of the book.
Deliverables: A book containing 15 recipes with images of the food and instructions on how to make the recipe all in a informative and engaging book.
Brief 4 Design a brand identity for a sports nutritionist. Considerations: Taking into account what the person does, what makes them different to other sports nutritionist, and how I’m going to make their brand look different to other brands. But also looking into what is already out there.
Deliverables: Business card, website, printed information on a leaflet to be handed out about nutritional information and other relevant printed collateral.
Brief 5 Produce packaging for a range of 8 new organic jams. Considerations: I should consider what the food inside the jars is going to be and how this will effect the choice of branding on the outside in terms of colour and materials used.
Deliverables: 8 different jams with 8 different types of packaging/sleeves.
Brief 6 Create a brand identity for a landscape design agency Considerations: I have to consider the look of the brand and if it works with what they produce, I also have to think about things that might help me produce a look of the brand and how I can make them look different to what’s out there already. Deliverables: A new brand look, some printed collateral like a sample book of there work, business cards, invoice and notepad.
Brief 7 Create information and way-finding for the IAAF athletics World Championship sporting event to be held in 2017 in London. Considerations: Consider the different sports that are going to be at the event and how everything around the event works together. Also I should consider if I am going to use the existing branding for the IAAF or create my own just for that world championship. Deliverables: Signs around the event, maps, leaflets, the icons for each of the sports.
Brief 8 Create a publication where by it promotes the use of sustainable methods in everyday life, such as little tasks that can be done to be more sustainable or buying things that are more sustainable. Considerations: I should consider the number of pages and the tone of voice for the content so its not too confusing and too enforcing. So how can I make it something that isn’t boring.
Deliverables: A publication with at least 10 different tasks

The living principles for design Celery Design Collaborative AIGA Centre for Sustainable Design Greenwashing
Collaboration Anthony White
