Go Fish!
A genuine British fish + chip shop in the heart of downtown Rehoboth Beach
WHERE IS IT? ON Rehoboth Avenue, just a few steps from the beach and the bandstand. WHY SHOULD I GO? THE British do a lot of things well: period dramas, royal weddings, perfectly tailored suits... all very impressive accomplishments, but we’d argue that fish and chips may be Britain’s most enduring cultural export. If you’ve tried this national dish, then you know what we’re talking about. If you haven’t, you owe it to yourself to stop by Go Fish!, grab a booth and order yourself a heaping helping of their signature plate – Iceland cod dipped in deliciously light and creamy batter, served up with lemon, tartar sauce, cole slaw, and a pile of golden chips (a.k.a. french fries) to sweeten the deal. You’ll be an instant convert. Go Fish! presents great food in a clean, hip
space steeped in light-hearted Anglomania. The old-fashioned gray vinyl booths are perfect for fitting in a group of friends, and the walls are decorated with framed clippings of glowing newspaper reviews and oversized Tube signs evoking iconic London locales like Covent Garden and Notting Hill. Of course, no man can live on fish alone. Go Fish! features a full menu of entrées like bangers and mash, lumb crab cakes and lamb curry. They serve appetizers, lunch and dinner, and offer a nice selection of imported beer from the UK, including Guinness and Boddingtons, to help you wash down your meal. ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW? Ask them about their catering services next time you want to throw a killer beach bash. They also have a gift shop where you can pick up aprons, beach totes, T-shirts and more.
