Pure Paddle Power! The awe-inspiring Cape to Cape Challenge, put on by the DeSatnick Foundation, was held on August 18. Race participants (athletic, brave and, some would argue, crazy) rode the Cape May-Lewes Ferry to Delaware before navigating their standup paddle boards the 16 miles back across the mouth of the bay to Queen Street, New Jersey’s southernmost point. The event raised more than $30,000 for spinal cord injury victims and their families, and culminated with a well-earned after-party at Harry’s Ocean Bar and Grille afterward. Congrats to all!
