With a great feeling of appreciation and gratitude for the recognition of our efforts all these years, we would like to welcome all you back to Nammos. 14 years have already passed since our opening day, but we feel just like on the first day when we presented our innovative summer proposal to the beach of Psarou in Mykonos. It takes hard and unyielding work, passion for creating experiences, love for the land and its yield that keeps us occupied with other things rather than counting the years that passed by. It is our inner need and self-motivation that keeps us working with the same diligence to offer just the best, the latest and the finest to all those resolutely returning or arriving to Nammos for the first time, to relax by the sea, savour our delectable tastes, shop fashionable clothes and accessories and indulge in divine beauty treatments. What an event! We welcomed summer 2017 with an event that everyone is still talking about! Mykonos was flooded by a parade of super-cars as it was the final destination of the 2017 Gumball 3000 Rally and of course there was no better spot on the island than Nammos to showcase some of these amazing, out- of- this world cars. Celebrities, thousands of spectators and Gumballers revved up the cars and enjoyed an unique experience. after the checkered flag was dropped, an unforgettable party feauturing super start djs, Dj Afrojack among them, next to the beach of Psarou and the amazing setting of Nammos was the perfect conclusion to the first event of the season!
Nammos parties 2017 Every year, the Nammos parties are the talk of the island, and every year surpasses the one before with even grander events, more exciting performances and more extravagant pleasure! This year could be no different! As for the first party this summer we will set Psarou on fire on 27/7 when Eros Ramazzotti meets Antonis Remos on the Nammos stage for an unforgettable concert by the waves, and on 29/7 when DJ Tsilichristos on the sets will have us dancing till the morning comes! Once upon a time the beach of Psarou had just one home! A fisherman’s home; the man died and his wife - Psarou - was left all alone. If you are travelling to the north side of the island of Mykonos search for the Cave of Lolos. Many stories and legends were inspired from this little corner of Mykonos where man and nature formatted this charming piece of insular wilderness; challenge your imagination and create your very own story about this cave! Agios Ioannis You might also hear this beach called “Shirley Valentine”, as that famous 80’s movie was shot at these very shores and slopes. The village and the buildings are built amphitheatrically and face the sacred island of Delos. Today Agios Ioannis beach is partly organized but maintains the beauty and charm of a bygone era, where the golden sands continue to caress the crystal clear sea waters. Visit the church of Agios Ioannis at the end of the beach and try to be there at sunset time; the view is simply breath-taking!

Seal's Cave Can you believe the colour of the waters at this stunning corner of Mykonos? Sail to the north-western part of the island and search for the Fokospilo or the Seal’s Cave where seals will be probably nestling; you have to admit they do choose amazingly beautiful corners. There is no beach around to swim but is worth approaching to admire the azure colours of the water and the naturally carved cave!

Stapodi The name derives from the Greek word for octopus, chtapodi; the Mykonians call them stapodi, and this is an isolated island 5 miles off the south- eastern side of Mykonos where you will find plenty of octopus. Winds make the access to this islet quite difficult but the lucky ones that reach the shores of this secret beauty of the Aegean might also run into seals and get the chance to dive into the stunningly clear waters.
Kavouronissi

Probably took its name from the many crabs (kavouria in Greek) that are found here; a quite islet to rest and feel sheltered from the elements. It is found on the western side of Mykonos and it is accessible from the main port of the island. The islet is totally uninhabited but the experience of sailing by Kavouronissi at sunset time is something that you will never forget!

Tragonissi
At the eastern side of Mykonos Island you meet the small islet of Tragonisi (literally meaning Billy-Goat Island). Sailing around it is an amazing experience, as its rocky slopes harbour many caves where Monachus- Monachus seals find shelter. You can dock a small boat at the north-eastern side of the island and swim in the stunning clear waters. The shores of Tragonissi are also a divers’ heaven with some astonishing underwater landscapes to explore. The quaint church perched on top of the hill hosts a traditional celebration every year on June 11th.

This amazingly beautiful beach is very close to the beach of Kalo Livadi but it can only be reached by boat. It took its name by the many small reeds found on the beach reminding to its lucky visitors what the coast of Mykonos used to look like before it was overrun by beach bars, sunbeds and umbrellas. If you arrange a stop to this unspoilt little haven do not miss a dive in the heavenly clear waters and spend some hours sunbathing on the silky smooth sands.

Elephant's proboscis Doesn’t it look like a giant elephant drinking water? You can give it any name you want but among locals this part of Stapodi Island is known as the elephant’s proboscis (trunk). A perfect spot for unique photos and to admire nature’s endless beauty as expressed in the coastal Mykonos; this hidden gem is definitely worth exploring.

Besides the 9 Muses in Mykonos and Cavo Muses at Aghios Stefanos in 1970, Mr. Zouganelis opened the namesake bar at Akadimias street in Kolonaki, Athens, and in 1976 he opens Dolly’s in the same district. The elite follow him in all his venues, and as he claims “they, through their travels, taught us the way to eat”!

If it wasn’t for Delos Island, Mykonos would have never become what we know today.
A businessman who loved Mykonos even before it became the cosmopolitan island it is today, Kostas Zouganelis is the man who opened the legendary 9 Muses club in the 60’s that gathered all the rich and famous of that time, contributing in making Mykonos an internationally acclaimed and coveted destination. We met with him at Nammos and through our talk we travelled to Mykonos of the past with his vivid descriptions and moving memories. Kostas Zouganelis first came to Mykonos when he was 14 years old, and keeps coming back every summer till he graduates from high school; after that he permanently moves to the island. History was in the making. Free from any sense of nostalgia and particularly happy for the way the island has evolved, Mr. Zouganelis recollects a time when in Mykonos “electricity was not sufficient enough to light the island after 11 pm, the tourist season

lasted for 10-15 days in August and very few visitors reached the island. Back then, Mykonos lacked regular transportation and ships didn’t always stop in its port; moving around was tough whereas the wellto-do families of the island lived in Ano Mera”. “If it wasn’t for Delos Island, Mykonos would never have become what we know today” he says, shedding a bit of light from Apollo’s birthplace’s sun onto one of the main reasons why people got to know Mykonos. “In the 60’s, professors and researchers visit Mykonos on their way to Delos”, thus more and more get to know this little island. Back then, you had to know someone personally to find somewhere to eat when in Mykonos. Next to Kazarma was Bakogias, and visitors could eat in the garden of ms Maria, who only served French fries and meatballs, made with real minced beef” he remembers. “As for the beach of Psarou, daily excursions were arranged for those

He admires the ventures of entrepreneurs, especially those starting from nothing and, just like he did several years ago, manage to succeed. His only advice to everyone: “Respect the land”.
who wanted to enjoy the sun and sea of that gorgeous bay, as the beach was considered distant”. Somewhere here begun Mr. Zouganelis business route. In 1958 he visits a bar beneath the Argo, and begins flirting with the idea of opening his own bar; in 1963 the legendary 9 Muses opens its doors. “Of course, the bar was different back then; open roof top, record players and when the winds were blowing strong you could not walk even as close as Remezzo”, he remembers and continues “the elite of the time frequented the 9 Muses: Stavros Niarchos, who loved drinking tea, Aristotle Onassis, Mikis Theodorakis and Stavros Xarchakos. The handwritten ledgers – which I still have- show daily revenues of 5 drachmas”. “Mykonos back then smelled of limewash, it was spotless and everyone walked barefooted” whereas the locals were really kind, helping you set up your life here”

he confides, while he recollects significant personas of the times like Mantas, who lifted tables with just his teeth, Filippis and Salachas, the only tailor who could make pants on the island. By 1974 Mykonos had started to grow, and it was not left unaffected by the “sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll” spirit of the era.
What does Mr. Zouganelis do today in his beloved Mykonos? He goes swimming at Aghios Stefanos beach, he savours a meal at Nikolas’ taverna at Paragka, he frequents Nammos but he never stopped loving the simple things in life: “a glass of ouzo and some octopus”.
The conversation returns to today and Mr. Zouganelis stresses that “I truly enjoy Mykonos’ development; this island deserves to be famous! It is a place with a unique energy, drawn from the light, the air and Delos. It is not a destination that was staged in order to become popular”, and he continues by saying “bravo to the establishments on the island that are of such good quality and offer excellent services”. He admires the ventures of entrepreneurs, especially those starting from nothing and, just like he did several years ago, manage to succeed. His only advice to everyone: “Respect the land”.
Mr. Zouganelis may speak in a low tone, but he is a man who feels alive, who has lived during all of the modern times of Mykonos and who tears up when he speaks of his favourite island. As he shared with us: “Mykonos is the most beautiful and the most dangerous place on earth. If you don’t know why you’re here, you might lose yourself” he concludes and leaves us daydreaming of a lime wash scented Mykonos where people around us walk barefooted and carefree. Well, come to think about that, Mykonos hasn’t really changed…

Beetroot salad with Mykonian yoghurt, caramelized walnuts and mint oil Ingredients 200 gr red beetroots 100 gr yellow beetroots 100 gr candy beetroots 1 kg rock salt 120 gr Mykonian yoghurt 100 gr shelled walnuts 300 gr sugar 1 lt sunflower oil 1 bunch of mint 30 gr garlic 100 ml olive oil 60 ml balsamic vinegar garlic sprouts 1 lt milk (to cook the garlic) 20 gr salt 200 ml grape seed oil (for the mint oil)

Preparation Boil the walnuts for five minutes and then put them in a bowl with the sugar, stir them well and cover with cling film overnight. The following day, deep fry them at 170oC. In a large baking pan spread the rock salt and place the beetroots on top. Cook in the oven for 80 minutes at 180oC, and then peel them. Cut them into large cubes and put them in vacuum bags with the olive oil, the balsamic vinegar, one garlic clove and some mint. Refrigerate to marinate for 2 hours. Peel the garlic and finely slice it. Blanche it in the milk three times. Dry it thoroughly and fry at 1700C. Let it cool and season with fine salt. Yoghurt sauce: Mix the juice from the marinated cooked red beetroots with the yoghurt. Mint oil: Blanche the mint and refresh in an ice bath, then blend with the grape seed oil and pass through a fine sieve. Platting: Put yoghurt sauce on the bottom of the plate, place the mixed beets over it, sprinkle the caramelized walnuts and some mint oil on top. Decorate with garlic sprouts and garlic chips.

Spicy Crab Tartar Salad Ingredients 80 gr King crab flesh 20 gr chili garlic mayo(mayonnaise with an essence of chili garlic sauce) 1 tsp Orange tobiko 2 thin slices carrot 2 thin slices celery 2 endive leaves 1 green asparagus cut fourfold Some green salad leaves Some rocket Some sakura mix 1 tsp chopped chives 1 pinch of chili powder 20 ml yuzu truffle dressing (10 ml yuzu juice and 10 ml white truffle oil)

Spinach pie baked on a charcoal grill with aromatic herbs and feta mousse Ingredients For the dough 800 gr Soft flour 410 ml milk 175 gr sunflower oil 70 gr water 2 eggs 12 gr salt For the filling 500 gr spinach 50 gr white onion 50 gr spring onion 40 gr olive oil 80 gr cooked bulgur Spearmint Salt Pepper
Preparation Blend the feta and the anthotiro cheese into a smooth mixture, add the cream and pepper blend again for 20 seconds full speed. Mix all the ingredients together to make dough. Separate the dough in 90g balls and let them rest for 1 hour. Roll out small disks of the dough. Pinch the edges, and place on the charcoal grill to bake until golden brown both sides. Then sautee the spinach and the onion over high heat, remove from the fire and add the bulgur,spring onion and chopped mint. Season with salt and pepper.Put the spinach stuffing over the pie and place again for 30 sec on the grill. Garnish with feta mousse and spearmint leaves.
