Media is a powerful force in our society. Every day, filth is pumped over the air waves and cable lines into the minds of consumers. Amid the darkness of this negative content, Christian radio and video shines as a beacon of hope and encouragement. Faith Radio is honored to leverage the power of media and use it in a Gospel-saturated, Christ-honoring way. We do this through our radio ministry, our social media profiles, our YouTube channel, our website, and our blogs and ministry magazine. We encourage you to take advantage of all the ways you can connect with us! Follow us and share our posts on social media, subscribe to our magazine and emails, download our app, listen to our radio programs, and visit us on our website. listener testimony

The Gilbreath Family Ashley Gilbreath is a well-known, talented interior designer in the South. She and her husband, Barrett, were even featured on HGTV. They have been supporters and listeners of Faith Radio for many years. In 2009, Ashley and Barrett were expecting twin daughters, when at 30 weeks, they experienced horrific loss. They followed the Lord through the valley of death’s shadow and into a new dawn. Ashley recently shared, “Faith Radio makes an eternal impact on a daily basis. You were at the start of my grief journey 13 years ago. You met me alone in my car in moments of tears, sadness and confusion, and not once did I leave unfulfilled. Thank you for showing up when I didn’t know what I was looking for. I just knew I needed God, and y’all were there!” Our ministry is here to walk alongside families during their most joyful seasons and on their hardest days. Jesus waits patiently to meet with you, and Faith Radio is here to provide those divine appointments with the Father. Barrett and Ashley now have three children at home, and joyfully teach them of God’s amazing plans, His goodness, and never-ending love. FAITH RADIO’S MINISTRY MAGAZINE

Praying for pastors has always been a privilege and priority for Faith Radio. We had a wonderful group of pastors from the River Region area gather to pray at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery.

We were honored to share a message for the YMCA of Greater Montgomery Good Friday Prayer Breakfast. Pictured here with Billy Irvin is the YMCA Director of Spiritual Emphasis, Leonard Speed.

We are always thankful when we’re invited to share about our ministry with local groups. Billy Irvin had the opportunity to share at a lunch and learn for Aglow Montgomery and was blessed by their response of the work being done by Faith Radio. Pictured with Billy is Dianne Ladson, Rebecca Strange, and Kim Brandhuber. 6

God is at work in Troy, Alabama, and we were invited to lead a prayer session prior to a community event that encourages and shares Christ’s love with children. We are thankful for Henry Reynolds inviting us to be part of a great day for Pike County.

We always enjoy giving a ministry update when a church calls and asks. Dothan Community Church regularly has Faith Radio share as part of their missions month. Debby Irby and Pastor Charles Lewis are pictured with Billy Irvin.

We are excited about our FCC approved coverage expansion in Dothan and the Wiregrass areas, but we need your help to purchase new broadcast equipment! Please let us know if you can help us with a special gift to help with this important project. FAITH RADIO’S MINISTRY MAGAZINE

The National Day of Prayer is a tremendous day for the ministry of Faith Radio. This year we had many pastors praying over the airwaves as our staff attended many events around the community. Pictured here is Pastor Robert Wagstaff, who prayed on the Faith Radio airwaves, as well as lead a prayer in Montgomery. 7

THE POWER OF

CHRISTIAN MEDIA Faith Radio reaches out on multiple platforms by Bob Crittenden, Director of Special Projects

At Faith Radio, we regularly talk about the use of technology, and how Christians can engage with technology to enhance their spiritual growth. Faith Radio continues to be a “go-to” medium, with Pew Research stating: “In 2020, 83% of Americans ages 12 or older listened to terrestrial radio in a given week . . . according to Nielsen Media Research data published by the Radio Advertising Bureau.” In the Christian space, a new study from Infinity Concepts and Grey Matter Research states that “91% of evangelical radio listeners use Christian radio.” The numbers for Christian television are substantial as well: “76% of evangelicals watch some Christian television content.” This survey evaluated seven types of media: TV, streaming video, web, broadcast radio, podcasts, books, and magazines. Christian radio has an impressive showing as a preferred medium for Christian content. The survey relates:

Of these seven media types, three show evangelicals relying on Christian content for at least half of what they consume: broadcast radio (60%), podcasts (57%), and books (58%). There have been predictions of a decline in the impact of radio, but it appears that radio continues to be a strong force for Christian listeners.

In order to maximize our ministry reach, Faith Radio operates across all seven types of media! That includes: Broadcast radio. We have our 8 U.S. terrestrial signals, plus we broadcast on a channel in Haiti. Web. We are on the Internet through our website at FaithRadio.org and our app. Podcasting. Content from The Meeting House and Morning Praise can be found on our website and app, plus a number of leading podcast sites, such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify. TV and streaming video. We have video available through the Faith Radio YouTube channel and a daily television presence on WFRZ, Frazer Christian Television. Reading. We also offer content you can read. Our Ministry Magazine is released four times per year. Blog content is posted online. Our devotional/journal book, Live by Faith, includes devotionals from Faith Radio programmers. Plus, we have a connection with the book publishing industry - you can routinely find out about programmers’ books and books offered by interview guest authors.

At Faith Radio, our desire is to be a complement to the work of the local church, playing a role in providing content that can help believers grow and be encouraged. All in all, God’s people have accessibility to the Word of God, and we can be edified and strengthened as we grow deeper in Him.

CREATING COMPELLING CONTENT Faith Radio & The Meeting House Return to NRB by Bob Crittenden, host of The Meeting House The Meeting House is devoted to providing content that presents a Christian worldview perspective to the issues we face - individually and culturally. Conversations from the program are distributed in a variety of ways - including through the Faith Radio website and app, as well as a variety of podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Video material is available through the Faith Radio YouTube channel. The National Religious Broadcasters Convention gives members of the Faith Radio team the ability to track trends, explore issues, and build relationships. From our booth in the Exhibit Hall, a variety of guests provide insight into applying God’s truth to what we encounter in our lives. A number of Faith Radio programmers stopped by the booth for conversations, including: Dave & Ann Wilson, co-hosts of FamilyLife Today, discussed their long-standing relationship with FamilyLife and how they view their role as hosts of the radio program; Jim Garlow of The Garlow Perspective and co-founder of Well Versed, a ministry that equips Christians to engage on important cultural issues, discussed globalism and its negative implications for Christians; and Rick DeYoung of Prophecy Today discussed his father’s legacy and the future of the ministry since he and his brother, 12

Jimmy DeYoung, Jr., have taken the reins of the programs heard on Faith Radio. We were also privileged to speak with other interesting figures about their ministries. Kelvin Cochran, who lost his job as the Fire Chief of Atlanta after writing a book on Biblical manhood and sexuality, is now working with Alliance Defending Freedom and discussed with us what he learned through his ordeal. John Cooper, lead singer of the band, Skillet, discussed the necessity of adhering to the truth of Scripture and shared his observations regarding cultural trends that represent a departure from the teachings of Scripture. Laura Beth Perry of First Stone Ministries, who is female but lived as a man for a decade, shared her redemption story and discussed the perversion of God’s principles regarding sexuality. We always enjoy connecting with people who have strong messages for our listeners. This is just a part of our mission to generate and distribute Biblicallycentered content that exalts Christ. Similarly, an honorarium is a tangible way of honoring a living person’s testimony. MAKE AN ETERNAL INVESTMENT by Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations At Faith Radio, our ministry is broadcasting God’s truth and love all day every day in order to help our listeners navigate through cultural issues with a Christian worldview. A note from a listener named Joe recently caught my eye, and I wanted to share a piece of it. He said, “It was through the giving of others that it was made possible for me to hear Biblical teaching on Faith Radio, and I want to make an eternal investment by giving to this ministry so that others may be blessed and impacted the way I have been.” Wow, what a testimony! This leads me to personally invite you. We want to invite you to join friends like Joe to make the same eternal investment in others lives by partnering with Faith Radio. Your financial gifts to this ministry will play a vital role in telling people about the certain hope of Christ and His power to transform lives. There is no greater work that we can do together than share the love of Jesus with our community and around the world.
