ENCOURAGING you to

As culture erodes around us and we move toward being a post-Christian society, Faith Radio wants to help strengthen and encourage you! The issues we face in our culture are nothing new, and God’s Word speaks to how we should act and react in these times. Paul’s admonition to the Ephesian believers is timely guidance: “ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

Ephesians 6:13

At Faith Radio, we want to help you stand firm by being properly focused through worship music, rightly aligned through persistent prayer, and boldly enriched through the preaching of God’s Word. Tune in and let us together stand firm!

Voices of Faith Radio

“The goodness of God is that which disposes Him to be kind, cordial, benevolent, and full of good will toward men. He is tenderhearted and of quick sympathy, and His unfailing attitude toward all moral beings is open, frank, and friendly. By His nature He is inclined to bestow blessedness and He takes total pleasure in the happiness of His people.”

- Chip Ingram

“My wheelchair was the key to seeing all this happen—especially since God’s power always shows up best in weakness. So here I sit . . . glad that I have not been healed on the outside, but glad that I have been healed on the inside. Healed from my own selfcentered wants and wishes.”

“People do not have to do something to go to hell; they just have to do nothing to go to hell.”

- John MacArthur

“To be used of God. Is there anything more encouraging, more fulfilling? Perhaps not, but there is something more basic: to meet with God. To linger in His presence, to shut out the noise of the city and, in quietness, give Him the praise He deserves. Before we engage ourselves in His work, let’s meet Him in His Word . . . in prayer . . . in worship.”

Your prayers and financial support are essential during these days. As our culture deteriorates, our message and light must shine! Let’s stand firm and faithful together. Let’s share God’s love message to our hurting world.

Our ministry is here to help you keep your eyes upon Jesus. Maybe you’re walking through a dark season of life where the fog has rolled in and covered the joy you once had. We’re reminded in Psalm 112:4,

At Faith Radio, we are here to encourage you so the light inside you won’t go out.

A faithful listener from Wetumpka recently shared, “It’s been a rough year where I feel like I’m in a haze. I heard some great insights from Ron Hutchcraft today on Faith Radio, and I was really encouraged. It was just the words I needed to help me not lose hope.”

We are here to encourage you with Biblical truths heard through our programming and uplifting music. We’re here to share the hope-filled words straight from your Father’s heart. May you tune in and feel warmed in His light. God’s love for you is more powerful than any fog in your valley, no matter how dense. His light is still shining above the clouds!

You never get tired of seeing the face of a child when you hand them a balloon! Faith Radio likes to be out and about in the community, and the Pike Road Arts and Crafts Fair is one of our favorite community events!

TREC International does a tremendous ministry work all around the world. We were blessed when Jeff McFarland stopped by to talk about the work of a children’s hospital in Uganda.

Sav-A-Life of Montgomery celebrated 40 years of ministry work in the River Region with a special night of powerful testimonies. Camilla and Billy Irvin celebrated the banquet with Tommy and Elaine James.

The FCA’s “Night of Champions” event honored the Lord by celebrating the ministry being done in schools and colleges. The night also included a bonus moment of celebrating 40 years of ministry by John Gibbons!

Dothan Mayor, Mark Saliba, recognized the outstanding and vital work of pastors in the community. He celebrated pastor appreciation month by inviting pastors to a lunch emceed by Billy Irvin, shown here with Pastor Charles Lewis and Mayor Saliba.

We are thankful for the many volunteers that make our Christmas crosses. Again this year, Trinity Presbyterian School students led by Richard Chandler cut and assembled the crosses. Another group from First Baptist Church Montgomery provided final assembly.

STAND UP AND SHINE

As we enter into a new year, Faith Radio is here to help you renew your boldness in proclaiming the truth of God’s Word. We want to encourage you to stand up! We can follow Daniel’s example. He lived in captivity in a pagan culture for 75 years, yet he stood up for the Lord. Daniel didn’t stand down, for that’s cowardice. He didn’t stand aside, for that’s compromise. He didn’t stand against, for that’s contention. Daniel stood up with courage and conviction.

God calls us to be salt and light in this dark world. You don’t have to be a pastor or church leader to stand up. You are a light, and you determine how bright your light is going to shine. Through your conversation, character, and conduct, you should seek

to be a light no matter what’s going on around you. Faith Radio is here to help you stand up and speak up. We want you to be courageous instead of compromising.

Tony Evans recently shared on Faith Radio, “One of the major problems leading to the breakdown of society is that we have far too many opinions dictating life choices and not enough truth mandating them.”

We must stop inviting the things into our heart that look like the world, sound like the world, and smell like the world. Paul encourages us in Romans 12 to stop being conformed to the likeness of the world. Charles Stanley shared recently that the church is beginning

to compromise God’s truth so that people will come in and not feel uncomfortable — but does that sound like Jesus? No! When you compromise truth in order to gain acceptance, you cut your light so low that it can hardly be seen. And, what you are doing to make others more comfortable can actually serve as an impediment to the work of the gospel in their lives.

At Faith Radio, we are here to help you as you stand up for Jesus. You can tune in to our broadcast to hear hours of Biblical teaching. You can tune in to be informed about current events and how to think

biblically about them. You can tune in to be encouraged and know that you are not alone in standing against the cultural tides. We want you to be ready in every season to share the truth of God’s Word. Tuning in to Faith Radio will saturate your soul and grow your faith as you hear Christian music that lifts high the name of Jesus. John MacArthur says, “Our responsibility is simply to make our witness faithful; it is God’s responsibility

alone to make it effective.”
Don’t stand down. That’s cowardice!
Don’t stand aside. That’s compromise! Don’t stand against. That’s contention! Stand Up! That’s conviction and courage!

Faith Radio consistently shares the message to stand up and shine. Below are just a few programmers you hear on Faith Radio to encourage you to stand up!

“When intimidated by who’s sitting in the audience, we should remember the King of Kings is also here, and it’s His message.”

- Chuck Swindoll

Insight for Living with Charles Swindoll is heard weekdays at 9:00 a.m. www.insight.org

“Obeying the will of God takes priority over satisfying cultural expectations.”

- Tony Evans

The Alternative with Tony Evans is heard Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m. www.tonyevans.org

“The more you focus on yourself, the more distracted you will be from the proper path. The more you know Him and commune with Him, the more the Spirit will make you like Him. The more you are like Him, the better you will understand His utter sufficiency for all of life’s difficulties. And that is the only way to know real satisfaction.”

- John MacArthur

Grace to You with John MacArthur is heard weekdays at 1:30 p.m. www.gty.org

“We ought to be living as if Jesus died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back this afternoon.”

A BIBLICAL STAND The Meeting House Encourages You to Be Strong in the Lord

We serve an all-sufficient Savior, who equips us through His Word and His Spirit to show His love and communicate His truth in a variety of different arenas. The Meeting House regularly features individuals and organizations that God is using to inform and equip the body of Christ to deal with the challenging cultural issues of our day.

One such organization is Family Research Council (FRC), headed by Tony Perkins, heard on the Washington Watch short feature and the weekend program. FRC has launched its Center for Biblical Worldview, which makes resources available to pastors and churches to help Christians see current issues from a Biblical perspective. The Center is led by David Closson, who has appeared on The Meeting House multiple times. Closson is also a contributor to FRC’s news website, The Washington Stand.

Focus on the Family is another ministry that helps Christians speak truth into current issues. Its daily radio broadcast is heard on Faith Radio, and I have hosted a number of guests from the ministry. Focus on the Family has also

launched a news site called, The Daily Citizen. Recently, Focus judicial analyst Bruce Hausknecht visited the program to discuss a case pending before the U.S. Supreme Court involving a graphic artist who did not want to be forced to create content supporting same-sex marriage. Another Focus representative, Sharen Ford, has joined me to discuss Christian involvement in adoption and foster care.

In the past year, I have enjoyed appearances by Brandon Showalter of The Christian Post, who has offered outstanding reporting and analysis about the dangerous trend of allowing minors to have surgeries and treatments aimed at enabling them to change their “sex.” I have also hosted Brad Mattes of Life Issues Institute who brought analysis of the Dobbs decision before and shortly after it was handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court.

A slogan of The Meeting House program, heard weekday afternoons from 4:00 until 6:00 is “The Intersection of Faith and Culture,” and the program is designed to equip you to be knowledgeable and to speak boldly on cultural issues.

PERSISTENT IN PRAYER

The Bible tell us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray at all times . . . pray continually . . . never ceasing! Faith Radio is here to encourage you with your obedience to prayer and to help grow your prayer life. We have encouraged our listeners to not only be people of prayer, but to be involved in prayer events. When we look back at 2022, we see many events where we were blessed to be involved in community prayer gatherings. As you encourage one another to stand up this year, we pray that you will make it a priority to grow your prayer life. We would love for you to join us at a prayer gathering! Perhaps God is leading you to start your own prayer event! If so, let us know so we can come alongside you to help share and promote prayer in your community.

As you listen to Faith Radio, you will hear great sermons preached regularly on the power of prayer, but we also broadcast a number of programs that focus on prayer.

It’s Time to Pray airing at 5:15 a.m., Monday - Sunday

This short program, led by Pastor Carter Conlon of Times Square Church, is intentional on encouraging you daily to remember the power and need for prayer in your life.

Pause To Pray airing at 11:10 a.m. and 8:35 p.m.,

Monday - Friday

This program focuses on praying for a specific national leader each day. It is a call for real-time prayer in the midst of the daily noise of current events. As the program is heard on over 500 radio stations around our nation, Pause to Pray is an opportunity for Americans across the country to simultaneously come together in prayer for our nation’s leaders.

FAITH RADIO’S MINISTRY MAGAZINE 12

Faith Radio itself has a very vibrant and effective prayer ministry. We pray daily for our listeners and often pray with our listeners over the phone. Our ministry invests time daily each morning in prayer when our staff gathers to privately pray over the confidential requests that we have received from you. We also pray for every person that supports our ministry. We encourage our listeners to pray for their pastor and church staff, and during October, we send out prayer cards to encourage the body of Christ and pastor/leaders.

We are your prayer partner! Let us know of your prayer needs by contacting us at Faith Radio.

It’s Time to Pray like you have never prayed before. Let’s believe God for this Generation. “Prayer is the key to all that Jesus is willing to do. The day and hour demands that those who still know the mercy of Jesus Christ begin to plead for our nation. When prayer turns to a heartfelt cry for freedom and deliverance, God will hear and answer. I believe that God is willing to show His mercy to us once again, in spite of how far we have gotten away from truth as a society”

Similarly, an honorarium is a tangible way of honoring a living person’s testimony. day every day through Biblical teaching and praise music. In today’s culture, our world is flowing with messages from TV and radio to internet sites and social media. If we’re not careful, these tools of mass communication can become weapons of mass distraction. We live in a day where media surrounds us. Faith Radio wants to be the surround sound for your soul. Will you partner with us in this new year as we strive to broadcast God’s truth to the community?
