Origin and tradition

Ferrer is currently the leading frozen food distribution company in Catalonia. Founded in Vic in 1924 and coming from a family tradition, the company has almost a century of consolidated experience, a history that endorses us and encourages us to continue leading the industry.

Our origins have endowed us with the passion for the products of the sea, and over the years we have adopted a professional approach in order to acquire a thorough knowledge of the origins, qualities and denominations. We buy daily in dozens of fishing areas and fish markets from around the world in order to deliver to our customers a product with maximum freshness, quality and price. Also in frozen form, we acquire raw material directly from source, both from areas close to hand and from the most remote parts of the planet in order to offer a wide range of products and origins.

We have an extensive and modern fleet of vehicles delivering daily to our customers from all over Catalonia, Aragon, CastellĂłn and the South of France; maintaining the cold chain intact and providing the warm and friendly service for which we are known. Via external logistics, we also deliver our products to the rest of Spain.

Our facilities provide us with the capacity to store over 2,000 items in an area accommodating 6,200 pallets. We have the latest computer technologies (radio frequency and soon Voice Picking) for an optimal management of the goods.

The monkfish is a white fish containing proteins high biological value. Monkfish also contains different minerals and vitamins, among which are some group B as B1, B3 and B9. select this product in the best possible origin: Namibia.
