It’s true that many of photographers assume the best moments to make photo are in the morning or afternoon during sunset. But now with the advance of knowledge, greater technical skills and more sophisticated equipments, allow us to make photos anytime we want, including where existence of minimum available lights. After sunsets, we could still explore more things. Sebelumnya banyak dari fotografer beranggapan bahwa saat yang terbaik untuk memotret adalah pada waktu pagi dan sore hari pada saat matahari terbenam, hal ini benar adanya. Akan tetapi seiring dengan meningkatnya pengetahuan, kemampuan teknis memotret dan semakin canggihnya peralatan yang kita miliki, semakin memungkinkan kita untuk mendapatkan foto kapan saja, termasuk foto disaat malam dengan cahaya yang sangat minim. His formal photography lesson was in NV Academy, conducted by Mr. Novijan Sandjaya which he believe a key person who influenced his photography skills. In 2012 he was appointed the A.RPS Acknowledgement from Royal Photographic Society from United Kingdom. Besides that he won a lot of national or International Photo competition since 2010. Pendidikan formal fotografi di dapat di Akademi NV yang dibimbing oleh Bp. Novijan Sandjaya yang merupakan orang yang berpengaruh pada kemampuan fotografi Hendro Hio. Kemudian pada tahun 2012 dia mendapatkan gelar A.RPS (Royal Photographic Society), Selain itu Hendro Hioe Juga memenangkan berbagai pengahargaan dari lomba foto baik didalam maupun di luar negeri. ff-magazine

Beside RDM-ST1 Camera Shutter Control, intervalometers are also used to trigger exposures. This is often done for a time-lapse series and also creating star trail images with stacking post processing. It may also be used to take, or begin taking, pictures after a set delay. “On White”, 101 Ragam Cerita Lewat Sebuah Kesederhanaan Jerry Aurum kerap dianggap sebagai fotografer paling berpengaruh di Indonesia saat ini. Seniman kelahiran tahun 1976 ini menyelesaikan studinya di Desain Komunikasi Visual ITB tahun 1999 dengan gelar cum laude dan memulai kiprah profesionalnya di tahun 2000. Memotret seseorang dengan latar belakang putih polos, adalah sebuah konsep yang sangat sederhana dan karenanya karya yang dihasilkan bisa jadi terlihat monoton. Namun bagi Jerry Aurum, inilah tantangan yang sesungguhnya, bagaimana situasi yang sederhana dapat membuahkan sebuah cerita memikat yang memiliki banyak arti dan maksud. Tantangan yang melahirkan pemikiran baru dalam proses fotografi, yakni “Simplicity is Complicated”. “Hasil akhir sebuah karya tidak lebih berharga daripada proses pencapaiannya. Situasi sederhana yang sengaja saya pilih ini memaksa saya untuk berkelana dalam konsep dan metode memotret yang sangat beragam. Saya ingin
proses ini menjadi petualangan yang berkesan, tidak hanya untuk saya, tapi juga untuk teman-teman yang menjadi subyek foto,” kata Jerry Aurum. Proses fotografi yang sarat tantangan ini akhirnya menelurkan buku bertajuk “On White”. Dimulai sejak tahun 2008, Jerry melibatkan 128 selebriti dan tokoh masyarakat dan menghasilkan 101 karya foto dengan kekuatan dan pendekatan yang berbeda-beda, meski semua berlatar belakang sama, yakni putih polos. Beberapa nama yang bisa ditemukan dalam buku ini, antara lain adalah Ahok, Slank, Raisa, Rio Dewanto, Denada, Daniel Mananta, Didi Petet, Annisa Pohan, hingga Najwa Shihab.

“On White” hadir dengan kualitas premium dan hanya terbit dalam edisi hardcover. Buku setebal 216 ini merupakan buku keempat Jerry setelah, “Femalography” (2006), “In My Room” (2009) dan “Hampir Fotografi” (2013). Dua buku pertama diluncurkan bersamaan dengan pameran foto tunggal, seperti juga “On White” dimana masyarakat umum dapat menikmati karya-karya yang tertuang didalamnya mulai tanggal 18-21 September 2014, di Main Atrium Senayan City. Bersamaan dengan pameran ini, Jerry Aurum juga melakukan lelang buku “On White” yang hasilnya akan diberikan kepada Alzheimer Indonesia, sebuah organisasi non-profit yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup Orang Dengan

Sebuah workshop fotografi juga akan berlangsung di tempat yang sama pada tanggal 20 September. “Saya akan mengundang teman baik saya, Vicky Burki dalam workshop ini, dimana Vicky akan mengulang proses pemotretan “On White,” jelas Jerry. Sementara itu, penampilan Denada juga akan turut meramaikan pameran di tanggal 19 September. Pameran foto dan peluncuran buku “On White” diadakan bersamaan dengan perayaan HUT ke-8 Senayan City yang bertema “8 Infinite Years”. “Merupakan suatu kehormatan tersendiri bagi saya dapat menghadirkan Jerry Aurum’s “On White” Photo Exhibition sebagai salah
satu rangkaian perayaan HUT ke-8 Senayan City. Dengan hadirnya pameran foto ini, kami berharap Senayan City dapat menjadi tempat bagi berkembangnya bakat – bakat terbaik Indonesia serta menjadi inspirasi bagi pengunjung setia Senayan City khususnya seni fotografi. Semoga dengan adanya kegiatan inspiratif ini akan dapat menambah kemeriahan perayaan HUT ke-8 Senayan City dan dapat menjadi kenangan serta pengalaman yang berbeda serta bermanfaat bagi para pengunjung setia kami,” ungkap Veri Y. A sturdy rock solid camera support (Tripod & Head), you’ll need to take a long exposure 15- 30 seconds of exposure. Try use a three-way pan head / geared head. This makes it easier to aim your camera and frame the desired field. For photographing stars and constellations.

Most DSLR limited their shutter speed for maximum of 30 seconds. You can change it to B (Bulb) and set the desire exposure time, but remember with longer exposure time the turning motion of Earth will cause the star images trailing instead of points. But there are tools to compensate the earth motion, just mount your camera on it, to prevent star trailing in long exposure, example, for DSLR you can use vixen polarie.

Biasanya kebanyakan DSLR hanya membatasi Shutter speed maximum di 30 detik. Jika membutuhkan exposure lebih lama, kamu dapat merubahnya ke posisi B(bulb) dan tentukan waktu exposure yang di ingikan, akan tetapi yang perlu di ingat adalah, semakin lama waktu exposure maka akan terjadi “star-trailing(titik bintang terlihat melonjong pada gambar) akibat dari perputaran bumi. Tapi saat ini sudah tersedia alat untuk mengkompesasi perputaran bumi. Cukup pasang kamera diatasnya untuk mengurangi efek “star trailing” pada exposure yang lama. Untuk kamera DSLR bisa menggunakan Vixen Polarie.

Avoid any camera shake when pressing the shutter with hand instead using remote controller, and activate the mirror lockup.

An aurora is a flickering light mostly caused by the sun’s radiation, usually found near the poles. They come in red, green and occasionally blue, and can sometimes resemble fire. An aurora can happen in the Arctic, around the North Pole (Aurora Borealis - Dawn of the North - there it is also called the Northern Lights) or in the Antarctic around the South Pole (Aurora Australis - Dawn of the South). An aurora can often be seen from long distances and stretching in the sky many hundreds of kilometers or miles. Apa itu Aurora? Aurora adalah cahaya alami yang muncul di langit (berasal dari bahasa Latin, aurora berarti matahari terbit atau Dewi Fajar Romawi). Aurora hanya dapat dilihat pada malam hari, karena cahayanya tidak sekuat cahaya pada siang hari.
