Hi Guys and Gals A quick uptake to the year and already a quarter way in! Always memorable are the sporting boundaries that continue to be pushed by individuals and teams alike in their quest to achieve at the top of their game. Inspirational in their feats against mighty opponents were Roger Federer, FC Barcelona and Ireland. Chris Bertish completed a monumental record with a transatlantic crossing on a SUP after 93 days alone at sea and good mates competed in the Absa Cape Epic, a grueling 691 km mountain bike cycling tour in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees in the picturesque Western Cape, South Africa. What is abundantly clear is that these sporting legends broke through their mental barriers that erode belief and they Believed! Well done and let’s all harness that very special skill! ZANDO CAPE TOWN 10s

HIGHLIGHTS

The recent award winning Zando Cape Town 10s saw record teams and crowds gather for the Cape Town social sports event of the year! There was no dodging the impressive rugby, netball, volleyball and newly introduced dodgeball at the event with over 270 teams giving their best on all fronts. The tournament hosted legends and celebrities alike and was honoured to host the launch of the RWC: 10 Years On initiative which will see a campaign roll out over the year with a number of fund raising events supported by the 2007 RWC team. The crowds were thrilled to see the likes of John Smit, Bryan Habana, Stefan Terblanche, Jean de Villiers, Butch James, Percy Montgomery and others add their special magic to the event.

Now the focus for the Old School Group, which manages and hosts this event, moves to the Tshwane 10s which is set for August 25th and 26th at Harlequins Club in Pretoria. See you all there! www.tshwane10s.com
