PMAC

TAKING IT BACK TO THE BEGINNING WITH DR KRISTY OWNER OF PMAC.

Istarted Port Medical Aesthetics Clinic (PMAC) because I saw a need for a clinic that combined evidence-based medicine with aesthetics in an honest, ethical, and patient-centered way. My background in general practice, women’s health, and regenerative aesthetics shaped my vision for a space where people could feel heard, respected, and empowered in their skin health journey.

Over the last decade, PMAC has grown from a single-room practice into a multi-disciplinary clinic with a great team of doctors, nurses, and dermal clinicians. In 2024, we were honoured to be named Business of the Year and Employer of Choice for NSW, a testament to the hard work, integrity, and expertise that defines us.

Lessons Learned Over the Years

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that medicine and aesthetics should never be separated. Everything we do at PMAC is backed by science, ensuring our patients get the safest and most effective treatments. I’ve also learned the importance of leading with authenticity. In business, people see through anything that isn’t genuine, so staying true to your values is key.

PMAC’s Core Values

•Integrity – Ethical practice always comes first.

•Education – We invest in learning for our team and patients.

•Excellence – Every treatment is personalised and precise.

•Empowerment – Our goal is to help people feel their best.

•Authenticity – We lead with honesty and transparency.

Strengths – Business & Personal Perspective

From a business standpoint, my strength is in building a strong, values-driven team. Surrounding myself with the right people has been a game changer. Personally, I’m disciplined. Medicine, business, and life throw challenges, but success isn’t about motivation alone, it’s about consistent, focused effort.

Advice for Women in a Fast-Paced World Women tend to wear multiple hats, so it’s essential to set boundaries and prioritise yourself. One powerful lesson is learning when to quit something. Society glorifies perseverance, but staying committed to a bad investmentwhether it’s a business, an idea, or a relationship, can be damaging. Quitting isn’t weak -it’s strategic.

Secrets to Success & Overcoming Challenges

Success isn’t a secret - it’s a combination of hard work, passion, and persistence. I’ve

always believed in staying ahead of the curve and putting patients first. When times were tough, whether managing setbacks, regulatory changes, or a global pandemic, I stayed focused on providing ethical, high-quality care. What Sets PMAC Apart?

PMAC isn’t just another aesthetics clinic— we’re a medically-led, patient-first practice. Our approach is:

•Holistic & Personalised – We focus on longterm skin health, not quick fixes.

•Highly Qualified Team – Our team is made up of experts in their fields.

•Ethical & Transparent – We only offer treatments that are safe, evidence-based, and in the patient’s best interest.

•Cutting-Edge Innovation – We stay at the forefront of regenerative aesthetics. What sets us apart is our passion for helping people feel confident and empowered in their own skin, with integrity, science, and heart.

Dr Claudia Dr Manon

Dr. Claudia is a GP who divides her time between PMAC and The Health Centre, focusing on women's health. She began working at PMAC in 2019, initially assisting Dr. Kristy after hours. As an Aesthetic Physician, Dr. Claudia’s role involves assessing patients' needs and performing injectable treatments. She works 2-3 days a week and recently started offering Saturday clinics. Outside of work, Dr. Claudia is passionate about martial arts, particularly Karate, where she holds a Second Degree Black Belt, and enjoys Muay Thai. She loves being outdoors, walking on the beach with her dogs, and spending time with her husband, two young adult kids, two border collies, and a bunny rabbit.

Dr. Claudia describes herself as the Yin to Dr. Kristy’s Yang, with her more reserved energy balancing Dr. Kristy’s go-go-go attitude. While not the best at business, Dr. Claudia is known for her strength, both physically and in supporting her team. She has a unique ability to come up with creative ideas, though she relies on others to help bring them to life. Her favorite treatment at PMAC is full-face rejuvenation using biostimulators, which creates natural, subtle results by enhancing overall skin quality and encouraging collagen production. Dr. Claudia enjoys helping patients feel confident without making dramatic changes to their features.

Dr. Manon works as one of the cosmetic doctors. She thrives in the supportive environment at PMAC, where Dr. Kristy’s strong emphasis on patient care and enhancing the overall experience aligns with her own professional values. Dr. Manon finds it extremely rewarding to be part of a team that prioritises delivering exceptional care and results for each and every patient.

One of Dr. Manon’s favourite treatments at PMAC is skin boosters. She loves how these treatments stimulate collagen production, intensely hydrate the skin, and restore volume and firmness. Seeing the remarkable results in her patients and the confidence they gain from improved skin health brings Dr. Manon immense satisfaction and joy in her work.

Megan specialises in injectables and skin treatments. She focuses on providing individualised care, whether it’s anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, or advanced skin therapies. Megan’s goal is always to achieve natural, balanced results, prioritising safety and precision. She enjoys assessing facial anatomy and crafting bespoke plans that align with each client’s aesthetic goals.

Megan's favorite treatment at PMAC is biostimulating dermal filler. This treatment offers a 2-in-1 benefit: instant volume replacement and long-term collagen stimulation, which helps with skin tightening and structural support, making it an excellent anti-aging solution.

DDr Erin

r Erin Cuningham initially trained as a registered nurse. She worked as an anaesthetic and recovery nurse at Manly Hospital before attending the University of Notre Dame in Sydney Medical School. Erin works as a Clinical Doctor in Aesthetic Medicine, providing a variety of cosmetic treatments. Over the years, she has trained with numerous cosmetic companies to master various aesthetic treatments.

Nurse Liz works as an Advanced Practice Cosmetic Nurse, performing a wide range of treatments from skin rejuvenation and injectables to laser therapies and non-surgical enhancements. She works independently under the oversight of the medical team, and her role includes educating patients, helping them understand their options, and creating personalised treatment plans that align with their aesthetic goals.

Nurse Liz’s favourite treatments focus on stimulating natural collagen and elastin production to improve skin health and elasticity, achieving firmer, glowing, youthful skin with long-lasting, naturallooking results.

Nurse Emma brings a compassionate and wellrounded approach to her work in cosmetic medicine. Emma found her calling in palliative care, where she delivered compassionate, supportive, and dignified care. With a background in public health and further studies in medical science, Emma combines her clinical expertise with a passion for aesthetics.

Emma blends her nursing experience with her passion for aesthetics to guide patients toward achieving their skin goals in a safe and supportive environment. As a cosmetic nurse, she performs advanced skin treatments, consults with patients to create tailored treatment plans, and ensures every patient leaves feeling confident in their skin. Emma thrives in the supportive team environment at PMAC, where she works alongside an amazing group of women who uplift and inspire one another.

Emma’s favorite treatment at PMAC is medical microneedling, a minimally invasive procedure that stimulates collagen production, improves texture, and reduces fine lines, scars, and pigmentation. It provides fast results, making it a fantastic option for both new patients and those maintaining results from previous treatments. Emma finds it incredibly rewarding to see her clients’ confidence grow as their skin improves.
