Rejuvenating the market of artichokes by promoting Italian products of distinctive excellence as well as communicating their properties is the first ambition of the brand. The name Violì finds its roots in the Italian word viola (purple), as to emphasise the brilliant colour of this beautiful

flower bud.

Violì artichokes grow in the most suitable Italian regions, from north to south, on hilly territories, where a particular mild climate with no humidity and a land rich in organic substances, allow their cultivation from November to May. Nowadays, Violì is harvested in the Northern regions of Veneto and Emilia Romagna, on the Mediterranean coasts of Apulia and Sicily and also on the Island of Sardinia. Only the artichokes from ‘hybrid seeds’ which follow strict production disciplinaries and control plans can receive the Violì brand. As a matter of fact, all Violì artichokes guarantee phytosanitary integrity, constant size and quality and health benefits at the same time. 3 different varieties can be found under Violì brand: violetto, morello and Romanesco, all with a soft heart and a brilliant colour. Continuous research and innovation allow a wider scheduling of the product. Violì is on shelves 9 months a year with a constant quality. It is offered in different sizes and formats: loose or in tray. Violì is also available in a tray containing only the heart of the artichoke, the softest and edible part, an added-value version, thought to reduce the time spent behind the stove. The product is sold in Italy and in other European countries. In order to inspire the consumers on how to enjoy Violì, each tray shows several recipes and consumption sugges- tions. Moreover social network contents are thought to arouse the interest of consumers, in particular the foodies and the younger ones, in a product often considered quite traditional. Tips and engaging posts published on Facebook and Instagram aim at refreshing and enhancing the image of this unique product.
