you ever get bored seeing the same fashion trends being recycled all over again and again? Well, we do, which is why our surprise was even greater when we saw a fairly unconventional handbag appeared on the market. These vintage-inspired bags are mostly handmade using beads and pearls, usually applied to a soft lining.

Although they are made using quite traditional techniques, there’s nothing old about this accessory. Moreover, they come with a modern twist and contemporary design, and a power to make a stylish statement. Don’t be open-mouthed when you see them all over your Insta feed!

HEAD-TO-TOE

The spring is looking sweet

and spring - meet the two inseparable words when it comes to spring fashion! These soft and delicate ice cream hues were spotted all over the SS18 runways from Michael Kors and Victoria Beckham to Tom Ford and Sies Marjan. However, a simple light-toned pastel looks took over the hearts of stylish fashionistas as they wore lovely shades of violet, sky-blue, pale pink and mint head-totoe creating the perfect sweet spring attire. It seems like a good idea to invest in a pastel suit, though. Stylish and effortless, a suit is an ideal failsafe piece that can comfortably get you around the town; it makes an ultimate balance between style and functionality. The sporty shoes trend

hen Balenciaga’s anti-fashion Triple S trainers emerged on the streets during the fashion week, people start having a love-hate relationship with the high-tech inspired fashion designed by mastermind Demma Gvasalia. However, love always win and here they are; from high street to high end, futuristic footwear seems to be the one thing every fashionista needs this spring. The trend quickly got labels as “the ugly shoes” since they can easily be decribed as a massive, chunky, akward....and cool. Everyone looking to make a fashionable step into the future and embracing the sporty styles is on the right track here.

are back in style in the most vibrant way ever! After a spectacular debut on the runway, it was clear that every single wardrobe piece is getting a high-fashion spin. The ultimate maximalism duo Dolce & Gabanna went with statement maxi dresses, while brands like Fendi, Kenzo and DVF chose a more subtle stripe palette with shirts and suits. However, street style influencers really embraced the idea of going bold by wearing multi striped skirts, blazers, even bags and accessories which is a perfect way to take your 9 to 5 style to the next level. On the other side, if you are simply looking for the extra dazzle or flash of bright colour, you can’t go wrong with multicoloured stripes! ISSUE 2 | FASHIONTOGO-FTG.COM

Forget about princess dresses and tacky puffs, we are talking about cutting-edge skirts and dresses that are breaking the rules of every fairytale you ever had

in your mind. In fact, tulle has debuted on a runway as we saw Delpozo’s creative director Joseph Font mastered pastel tulle looks, while Off-White played around with 80’s inspired puffed tulle layers. Note that this is one of those trends wearable from day-tonight, based on the finishing

Plastic fantastic How to style a PVC fashion trend? , we are not talking about basic plastic raincoats, rather something slightly bolder! From transparent fabrics to latex and vinyl, this season a touch of plastic fashion will be hard to miss. We have already seen PVC dresses on celebs from Kim Kardashian to Rita Ora and Hailey Baldwin, however, in 2018 the plastic trend is getting a luxury fashion spin especially after seeing the Chanel spring runway. Vinyl shoes and accessories, trousers, even coats and dresses all made on the musthave list and it seems fashion street brands and luxury houses went crazy about shiny plastic-coated materials! Obviously, this won’t be your Sunday church look, however, if you choose to add a shine effect to your wardrobe, the key is to find a right balance beetwen sexy and casual. You may notice that most street stylers and industry experts wore it by mixing one dramatic piece with the simple ones, making a stylish, yet not over the top statement. If you are looking for a runway-ready finish, make this your style guideline.

Another trend, made by the directory of Vetements and Balenciaga’s creative director Demma Gvasalia, is ruling the online and offline stores, and it seems to become the most desirable spring accessory. The stylish shades work perfectly with minimalistic style, such as biker jacket and a pair of mid-wash jeans, but can handle chic blooms too, especially flowy dresses and skirts. If you are in a search of a new super fashionable and trendy frame shape, we won’t be surprised if the cat eye and rectangular slim sunnies made on your top 5 list.

Is it

dramatic to say that, as passionate fashion lovers, we are (consciously and) slowly destroying our planet? Maybe, (or not) but the fact is that the fashion industry is one of the top global polluters, in fact, it’s quite high on the list just after the oil industry. The question that we keep asking is how hard is it to consciously enjoy fashion as a slow-fashion consumer while having an ecological and ethical lifestyle? We hope to find the answer! These days one of the biggest misassumption is a thought that fashion and sustainability are the two words that simply don’t go into the same meaningful sentence. Very likely, but only if you are having in mind cheaply produced, trend-based fashion, commonly known as a fast fashion.

Anti-pollution skincare! Is the environmental pollution ageing your skin?

Ever

since I moved to London, I noticed that my skin is more dull and grey, and it looks unhealthier than before. I start looking for the answers and quickly realised what might be the reason. You have at least once thought of the seriousness of pollution and its impact on the environment, but have you ever wondered how poor air or water quality affects your skin?

DRINK WATER to keep you hydrated

It’s scientifically proven that serious pollution, in general, is one the main causes of both visible and invisible conditions, including heart and lung diseases, even diabetes and stroke on one side, and a depigmentation, dryness, premature ageing and wrinkles on the other. Having in mind these unavoidable circumstances, skincare brands have very quickly come up with the way to tackle the issue. There have been a number of anti-pollution cosmetic products on the market, mostly with two important roles: skin protection and skin elasticity restoration. Vitamin C is the most important ingredient to look for, known for its antioxidant and anti-ageing benefits that can help your skin look more younger and hydrated.

DOESN’T CARE!

What does it take to have a beautiful hair? healthy inside out should be everyone’s beauty philosophy - but we all know how hard can that be sometimes. You don’t have to be an expert to know the basic rules for healthy hair and skin; balanced diet. But what else can you do to have a healthier-looking hair?

The right shampoo You have tried everything and simply can not find the right shampoo for your hair? No wonder really, with so many options on the market it’s hard to find the one that can give you the right colour-treatment, help the hair loss or control a greasy and oily hair. Having the role of an essential part of the hair hygiene, have you

ever wonder how (un)healthy shampoos can be? We barely ever read the ingredients list, but it’s unreal how many shampoo manufacturers use toxic ingredients to make your hair feel soft and shiny. It all starts with sulfates, especially the SLS which has the cleaning power but it can actually be damaging for your for skin, especially sensitive. Same goes with parabens and perfumes which can cause skin irritation. Right now you are feeling overwhelmed, aren’t you? So what can you do? You can go natural and organic as it can only do good, not just for your skin and overall health, but environment too. You have heard of shampoo bars but they seemed unpractical?

This is the right time to give them a go!

Heat protection We often think how to make our frizz shiny and smooth, but forget one major thing - the exposure to the extreme heat each time we blow-dry or straighten it. Heated tools can really damage your hair as heat is often responsible for split ends and breakages, so make sure to use a heat protection as a well-needed part of your hair care routine. Most heat protectants come in a spray, cream or a serum, helping to prevent hair damage from thermal styling. Not only they do their job, but give your hair much needed soft, shiny feel and make it smell nice.

LIFESTYLE Real life

It’s never

The right time! often do you get a piece of good advice? But really worthy advice, the one that keeps you thinking. These days you can get any kind of suggestion, recommendation or guidance online, while having a valuable life lesson you can actually use is like finding a needle in a haystack - many people will give you one, but it does not mean it’s a good one. Just a couple weeks ago, as a result of a family reunion and a usual talk about life, I was given advice that left a strong impression and it was the simplest thing someone can say – there will never be the right time. We often feel like it’s never the right time for any big (or small) step in your life, and yes, you probably won’t ever feel completely ready. ISSUE 2 | FASHIONTOGO-FTG.COM

How

Why are we postponing our life?

We are constantly looking for a perfectly good reason, something that will validate our choices or give us a sign that we are on the right track. Well, that often doesn’t go as planned, fear or doubt of being unprepared, or simply fear of the unknown is part of the process, whether we like it or not. Decision making is essential in an everyday life, however, it’s the hardest when it comes to young adulthood. Education or experience? Renting or buying? When is the right time for parenting? Are we ever ready for the most important challenges; why are we keep waiting for a better opportunity, a better job? Sometimes you just have to do it; grab that shot and don’t let go. Believe in yourself and your judgment. Martin Luther King once said: ”The time is always right to do what is right”. You can start from there.
