MAJOR NEW ACCOLADES IN THE LEISURE SECTOR IN THE CIS

he twelfth edition of the Golden Pony® Awards-Moscow took place on March 16 in Moscow. This international award gives annual recognition to the leisure companies that have stood out for their achievements in the countries of the former Soviet Union. Organized by Facto Edizioni, the Italian publishing house of the international magazine Games & Parks Industry, Industry , in co-operation with Raapa, the Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, the ceremony took place in the traditional context of the Raapa Expo Spring, as a corollary event of the trade show. Unfortunately, even this year promoters were unable to cross the borders: the conflict in Ukraine prevented the representatives of Games & Parks Industry from attending the

award ceremony after everything had been prepared in detail. “But whatever the reason for our absence may be - said Luisa Dal Bianco, president of the jury of the award, in her welcome speech that was broadcast at the event - it does not change the commitment that the jury makes in the choice of nominees and in the preparation of the ceremony. It may perhaps happen that our lives change deeply as a result of contingencies, but what certainly will not change is our belief that excellence must always be recognized in every corner of the world. All the more so if we are talking about excellent companies in a sector whose primary mission is to give joy to all people, of any age, to educate them to inclusion, to help them socialize with others and to cultivate feelings of peace.” The ten winners of this edition came largely from the Russian Federation but also from other CIS countries such as Armenia and Kazakhstan, and represented the most diverse types of leisure. Among others, we mention two excellent municipal parks of culture and leisure, the Riviera Sochi Amusement Park and the Izhevsk Parks which have distinguished themselves for their charismatic management as well as the Galaktika park for the central role it has acquired in the cultural and social life of its host city. But there were also international theme parks such as Yerevan Park (Armenia) and Tetysblu Theme Park (Kazakhstan), both successfully inaugurated last year. Ailand Astana mixed park also came from Kazakhstan: it includes an oceanarium, indoor water park, jungle theme animatronic theater and a giant Ferris wheel, all new to the region. Returning to Russia and to the leisure format that has had the greatest development potential in recent years, that of Family Entertainment Centers, we can mention Teika Boom, Boom , the promising innovative network of centers in full development in Moscow and the most popular FEC in Naberezhnye Chelny Pakabata.. To conclude the list of winners we remember the Pakabata water park Lazurny Water Park and the carousel operator Karusel-NN,, real prides in their respective fields. n Karusel-NN

Но были среди победителей и международные тематические парки, такие как Ереван парк (Армения) и тематический парк Tetysblu (Казахстан), оба успешно открытые в прошлом году. Смешаный парк Ailand Astana также из Казахстана: он включает в себя океанариум, крытый аквапарк, аниматронный театр на тему джунглей и гигантское колесо обозрения - все новое для региона. Возвращаясь в Россию и к формату досуга, имевшему наибольший потенциал развития в последние годы, такой как семейный развлекательный центр, можно отметить Тейка Бум - перспективную инновационную сеть центров, активно развивающуюся в Москве, и популярнейший ТРЦ Пакабата в Набережных Челнах. iland Astana is a diversified complex that includes oceanarium, indoor water park, jungle park, and a giant Ferris wheel, all new to the region. First in Kazakhstan, the oceanarium is also the only one in the world located more than 3,000 kms from the ocean. A main tank with an underwater transparent tunnel and 3 large exhibit areas housing 3,000 fish are its main offer. A
s part of the Gagarin park in Sterlitamak, the capital of Bashkortostan, Galaktika is a dynamic amusement park that features more than 50 attractions for all ages, from extreme to family and children rides, including tubing slides and other winter attractions. The park organizes almost 100 spectacular concert events, festivals and city celebrations for its visitors the whole year round. Free sports and wellness classes are held regularly as well as creative contests and workshops for children: in drawing, painting and numerous other subjects. And all this gives a constant lively atmosphere to the park while meeting its cultural mission. The highlight of Gagarin Park is the 40-metre high Ferris wheel, which is recognized as the best observation deck on the Shikhany Mountains - a landmark of the region.

zhevsk parks comprise 14 recreational areas of the city under one administration which as of 2019 has carried out a massive redevelopment affecting 120 hectares and has led to a revitalization of the recreation sector in the city. Led by Sergey Butorin, the managerial pool play their game with determination as a sports team. They have organized 1,300 events for citizens since 2019: concerts, multi-subject workshops, sports competitions, exhibitions. The main projects implemented include the establishment of a motor boat tour; the creation of a multimedia area with a 100sqm screen for international sporting events; the redevelopment of the amusement park in the historic center; the creation of a multidisciplinary sports park for skateboarding, rollerblading and cycling; the setting-up of the largest ice skating floor in the region. And much more.
Парки Ижевска представляют собой 14 рекреационных зон города под единой администрацией, которая по состоянию на 2019 год провела масштабную реконструкцию на 120 гектарах и привела к удивительному оживлению рекреационной сферы города. azurny Water Park is the first indoor water park in the Belgorod region. Opened in December 2019, it is spread over 3 levels and also includes an outdoor beach zone for children and adults. In very short time, the park has become a center of attraction for the residents of Belgorod so that since opening it has welcomed a cool 350,000 visitors. In the park 12,000 sqm area, there are several water attractions, both calm and extreme, as well as swimming pools, a photo studio, a large food court, cafes and shops that cater to a vast group of visitors, from families to teenagers and young adults. One of the pearls of the facility is its thermal zone with its hammam, bath, sauna, and its vast solarium zone “Alpine Sun”, where visitors experience unforgettable emotions.
Аквапарк Лазурный - это первый крытый аквапарк в Белгородской области. Открытый в декабре 2019 года, он расположен на 3 уровнях, а также включает в себя открытую пляжную зону для детей и взрослых. ocated in the center of Sochi, it was created in 1883 as a private garden professionally designed. At that time its collection of exotic plants began, which to date, with 240 rare species, is its great heritage. Each center has been designed and built around a different theme by New Horizons specialists. And each of them features fairy-tale animal figures keeping watch of the play areas. In a surface of max. 2,800 sqm, kids up to 12 years of age can find around 30 attractions: trampolines, swings, slides, maze and ball shooting arena, party rooms for 6 to 40 guests, and creative kids activities. ruit of a large investment of $30 million, Yerevan Park is a real jewel in Armenia. It covers an area of 14 hectares partly indoor and partly outdoor, and has a fairy tale theme deeply rooted in Armenian traditions. With a staff of up to 270 employees during the high season, the park offers 23 attractions from leading European manufacturers including 4 roller coasters, a large carousel, a drop tower and a large two-storey playground. A large food court with 400 seats and a caferestaurant with 150 seats as well as shopping facilities and party and entertainment areas welcome visitors at any time. And that’s not all. The park is just the first step of a 3 phase development which includes a themed hotel and a waterpark.
Ереванский парк, созданный в результате крупных инвестиций в размере 30 миллионов долларов, является настоящим сокровищем Армении. Он занимает площадь 14 гектаров, частично крытую и частично открытую, и имеет сказочную тематику, уходящую корнями глубоко в армянские традиции. Парк, штат которого составляет около 270 сотрудников в высокий сезон, предлагает 23 аттракциона от ведущих европейских производителей, в том числе 4 американских горки, большую карусель, башню свободного падения и большую двухэтажную детскую площадку. Большой фуд-корт на 400 посадочных мест и кафересторан на 150 посадочных мест, а также торговые и развлекательные зоны ждут посетителей в любое время. И это еще не все. Парк является лишь первым этапом трехэтапной застройки, включающей тематический отель и аквапарк.
