he eleventh edition of the International Golden Pony ® A w a r d s - M o s c o w , the highly appreciated event recognizing outstanding achievements of leisure parks, family entertainment centers and professionals of the leisure industry in the CIS Countries took place on March 30th within its historic frame - the Raapa Expo Spring, Moscow. This year we at Facto Edizioni publishing house, as promoters and organizers of the Award since 2011 were prepared to deal with the various obstacles that could arise from the

что столкнемся с различными препятствиями, которые могли возникнуть в результате пандемии Covid-19. Во-первых, была неопределенность относительно нашего прямого участия в церемонии, которое, с учетом закрытия российских границ для нерезидентов, было отложено до последнего дня, в итоге так и не состоялось. Кроме того, даже сам отбор кандидатов был для нас сложной задачей, учитывая, что большинство развлекательных учреждений в России, как и в большинстве других стран мира, были вынуждены закрываться в 2020 году. И все же, благодаря бесценной поддержке представителей РАППА, нашего партнера по организации церемонии, она прошла, к нашему большому удовлетворению, и к радости операторов индустрии досуга, в традиционном месте - Коллизей Холле, во время гала-ужина, оживленного танцами и музыкой. Девять победителей этого года поприветствовала президент жюри премии, Луиза Даль Бьянко, речь которой транслировалась онлайн на открытии вечера. Цитируем слова Луизы Даль Бьянко: «2020 год станет годом, который многим компаниям индустрии развлечений лучше не вспоминать. Но в этом году все же начались, и развиваются интересные творческие проекты в России и странах СНГ. И именно это творчество, отличную командную работу и решимость идти вперед с неизменным энтузиазмом, мы хотим вознаградить». Победителями стали парки международного уровня,
Covid-19 pandemic. First of all the uncertainty concerning our direct participation in the ceremony, which considering the closure of the Russian borders for non-residents was held in abeyance until the last day, and wasn’t allowed in the end. In addition to that, even the very selection of the candidates was a challenging task for us considering that most leisure structures had to close in 2020 in Russia like in most other Countries in the world. And yet, thanks also to the precious support of the representatives of Raapa, our partner in the organization, the ceremony took place to our great satisfaction and that of the leisure operators, in the evocative Kolizey Hall traditional location, during a gala dinner enlivened by dances and music. The 9 winners of this year were greeted by a welcome speech from the president of the award jury Luisa Dal Bianco, which was broadcast online at the opening of the evening. Quoting the words of Luisa Dal Bianco “2020 was a year to forget for

lots of companies in the leisure industry as well as in many other sectors globally. But this year also saw the birth and growth of interesting creative projects in this part of the world (Russia and the CIS Countries). And it is precisely this creativity, sometimes the excellent teamwork and always the determination to go forward with unaltered passion that we want to reward.” The winners include in fact international level parks such as Dream Island,, Moscow, the largest indoor theme park in Europe, listed in Island the European Record Book, a park that has opened a new exciting chapter in the Russian entertainment scenario. And then the outdoor park Jibek Joly (the Silk Road), an interesting project that combines great mechanical attractions and beautiful landscape with the aim to fulfill the international tourist ambitions of the ancient historical city that hosts it, Turkestan, Kazakhstan. The active entertainment trend is represented by 2 companies that operate with great passion locally but with an eye also abroad: Airmir, manufacturer of inflatable structures and soft play equipment for leisure and business and Jumanji Park/ Otadoya,, creator of latest generation adventure parks featuring an Otadoya unprecedented mix of extreme and familiar attractions. Active entertainment of all kinds, but on a small scale, for children under 12, is the goal of the Chudo park chain that offers also a highlevel food service for parents and is characterized as an educational and socializing space for the city community where it is based. But let’s give space to the presentation of all the other winners as well in the following pages. n

irmir is a dynamic company from Yekaterinburg, whose flagship production are inflatables structures for business, recreation and entertainment. Starting from scratch in 2008 with a sewing machine and 5 people, they have grown year after year and now have 70 employees and a factory of 2000 sqm. With experience and dedication, the production catalogue has been enriched including inflatable trampolines, large hangars, arches, stages and promotional items as well as soft play equipment and articles tailored according to customers’ requirements in compliance with technical regulations. Care for customers and safety of final users are the company guidelines. That’s why their products are highly appreciated and distributed throughout all the CIS countries as well as in Europe.

O
wned by the city administration of the old historic city of Turkestan rising along the ancient Silk Road, the park Jibek Joly is part of a big investment plan to develop the infrastucture of the hosting city, which is vying to become a top tourist destination as the new capital of the homonimous region. It has been designed by Envicon-A, like most of the sites of new Turkestan. Within its 30 hectares, the park features a 15-meter wide Main Avenue leading to a huge central square and to an observation hill overlooking an amphitheater as well as beautiful water features and sports facilities. An amusement park area offers a range of international level attractions including a Ferris wheel, Horse Carousel, Swing Ride, Goldminecoaster, as well as a large food court. Playgrounds for different ages with thematic references to the millennary history of the city allow for all-season operation.

На территории парка площадью 30 гектаров находится Главный проспект шириной 15 метров, ведущий к огромной центральной площади и смотровой площадке с видом на амфитеатр, а также на красивые водные объекты и спортивные сооружения. Зона парка развлечений предлагает целый ряд аттракционов международного уровня, в том числе колесо обозрения, карусель Horse Carousel, аттракционы Swing, Goldminecoaster, а также большой ресторанный дворик. The company’s escape rooms owe their success to the realism of the story they propose, which is obtained by combining physical sceneries with virtual reality and augmented reality experiences often organically interwoven. Successful escape rooms are fully automatically controlled: Da Vinci, School of Magic, the Mummy, Hannibal. The company technical and creative talents can give life in-house to any entertainment format. They have recently developed and operate BrainyMarathon, a 1500 sqm center that combines riddles, quests and agility tasks, backed up by sports passion.

hudo Park is a latest generation FEC chain based in the Moscow region. The pictures below are taken from the Chudo Park located at Elgrad shopping mall, Elektrostal, which is the most iconic of the chain and best matches the development strategy of the group. The basic concept of Chudo Parks combines activity zones for children with trampolines, mazes, rope courses, climbing walls and other participatory attractions, and a cozy, warm atmosphere with a full-fledged restaurant for the parents. Zones for workshops and a stage for events complete the offer for the family. But above all, every Chudo Park is a sort of formative and socializing space for the local community where children and their parents get to know each other, make new friends, play, celebrate together and communicate.

ream Island is a large entertaiment complex in Moscow that has opened a new chapter in the history of entertainment in Russia. Inaugurated in February 2020, it comprises the largest European indoor all-season theme park, listed in the European Book of Records. Its 9 themed zones offer over 25 breathtaking attractions, 5 bright show programs, interactive entertainment and meet & greets with children’s favorite cartoon characters. Recreation areas, dancing fountains, shops, restaurants, cafes, a concert hall with 3800 seats and a 14-hall multiplex embellish its promenade covered by 7 glass domes and leading to the ‘central square of Moscow’, the largest glass roof in the world. All these spaces are united by a landscaped park with zones for active recreation and relaxation, a dance floor, an open-air cinema, and a sun-lounge by the water.

umanji Park is a state-of-the-art adventure park, an unprecedented mix of extreme and familiar attractions inside Novosibirsk’s Bugrinskaya Roshcha park. It is the result of the great teamwork of the company of the same name, part of the Otadoya group. They oversaw the entire creation process: from feasibility studies and site search to design, production, installation and final management. Opened last August amidst extreme difficulties caused by the pandemic, it comprises 4 exclusive play zones with multistorey mazes, various level rope courses, climbing walls and an extreme zipline allowing riders to experience speeds of 70 km per hour.

his waterpark has been built on the site of a legendary pool in Moscow, Luzhniki, that in 60 years since 1958 had hosted lots of different competitions including the 1980 Olympics. The complex is distributed over 6 levels indoors and includes an open-air hot thermal pool. It is covered by a sliding transparent roof that in the warm season moves apart turning the whole building into an open-air waterpark. Guests can find there everything they need for the relax of the whole family all year round: from sports and beach pools with waterslides, to a kids club, restaurants, an artificial wave for surfing, a large thermal complex and a shopping gallery.

Он располагается под раздвижной прозрачной крышей, которая в теплое время года раздвигается, превращая все здание в аквапарк под открытым небом. Здесь круглый год гости могут найти все необходимое для отдыха всей семьей: от спортивных и пляжных бассейнов с водными горками, до детского клуба, ресторанов, искусственной волны для серфинга, большого термального комплекса и торговой галереи.

ark Amazonia is situated in the heart of Cheboksary and owes its name to a legend that tells that the Amazons used to live on the territory of modern Chuvash Republic. It rises on an area of 60 hectares, the old 500 Anniversary Park of the city, and is the fruit of a private investment, with the purpose of increasing the flow of tourists to the region. It is in fact a key element of modern Cheboksary and a landmark for the city. A place for cultural, sports and family entertainment, the park features 16 large rides, from extreme to family oriented, food court, fitness center, a summer water area and an ice skating rink in winter. And the prospects for the future include a water park, a zoo, a museum and much more.

AAPA Education Center is the leading educational body in Russia for amusement industry professionals. In 2021 the center celebrates its 15th anniversary with the pride to have awarded the certificate of “Specialist of Safe and efficient operation of amusement rides and devices” to over 1,600 industry professionals. Lecturers are leading experts in the Russian amusement industry: engineers, lawyers, labor protection experts, marketing, management and advertising specialists. The program consists of theoretical lectures on topics related to the sector and practical classes which include visits to entertainment centers and parks while operating. In 2020 online training proved to be effective and successful and allowed almost 200 specialists to pass the training.

В 2021 году центр отмечает свое 15-летие, с гордостью вручив сертификаты «Специалист по безопасной и эффективной эксплуатации аттракционов и устройств» более чем 1600 профессионалам индустрии. Лекторы - ведущие специалисты российской индустрии развлечений: инженеры, юристы, специалисты по охране труда, специалисты по маркетингу, менеджменту и рекламе. Программа состоит из теоретических лекций по темам индустрии и практических занятий, которые включают в себя посещение развлекательных центров и парков. В 2020 году онлайн-обучение оказалось эффективным и успешным, и позволило пройти обучение почти 200 специалистам.
