SHEAR GENIUS Stockholm-based Acne Studios has been a pioneer of Scandinavian minimalist luxury fashion since its launch in 1996. Under creative director Jonny Johansson, the brand – whose name is an acronym of Ambitions to Create Novel Expressions – uses a love of art, photography and architecture
to inspire its trend-led readyto-wear designs. For autumn/ winter 2017/18, its pieces are feminine, structured and reworked; the impression that each garment is sophisticated yet worn in is integral to the collection’s theme. The featured shearling jacket, in a classic shape and style, has a standard cream sueded sheepskin outer that is as cosy as it is cool. The tan

BASICALLY BRILLIANT Founded in 2009, Swedish brand Maska makes highquality sustainable clothing that transcends season-toseason trends. Its focus is on using natural materials and artisanal knitting techniques to create thoroughly modern pieces. The autumn/winter 2017/18 collection consists of bright knitwear with bold geometric prints, a softer monochromatic abstract print featured on a kimono, jumpsuit and midi-skirt, and androgynous white shirts. The full winter range, like the brand as a whole, has a cool yet comfortable aesthetic. rre Hornsgatan 33, Hornsgatan 33, 118 49 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 640 4964, maska.se
Innovative homeware brand Iris Hantverk is expanding its range of products for autumn/winter 2017/18. Known for its practical yet beautiful brushes, Iris Hantverk has turned its talents from classic cleaning products to facial grooming, offering everything from beard combs to shaving soaps. The facial brush (SEK 225) is designed to be used with a special soap that will leave skin thoroughly cleansed. Made with oil-treated walnut wood and dark horse hair, the brush, like all Iris Hantverk products, takes handmade to a new level. rre Iris Hantverk, Kungsgatan 55, 111 22 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 214726, irishantverk.se FOR M A P GO TO PAGE 92

UNCOMMON SCENTS Le Labo’s Stockholm store, which opened in April 2017, is – like the niche fragrance brand’s other boutiques – based on the concept of a perfume lab. Here visitors can immerse themselves in a beguiling sensory experience and explore a dizzying range of raw materials. The perfumes are all made to order and a personalised label can be added for an additional bespoke touch. Le Labo’s olfactory
creations span 15 unisex fragrances, along with 10 equally irresistible scents for the home in the form of hand-poured candles, diffuser oils and more. grc Le Labo, Bondegatan 48, 116 33 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 452 9372, lelabofragrances.com FOR M A P GO TO PAGE 109
Swedish Hasbeens was launched in 2006 to revive the high-heeled wooden clogs that were all the rage in Sweden during the 1970s. While clogs may not always be practical during the colder months, we think these Grunge boots (SEK 2,995) are a perfect alternative. With chic and practical zips down the front, the style features the brand’s new 10cm lime-tree wood platform finished with a rubber sole. Swedish Hasbeens favours a sustainable approach, and all its footwear is handmade by artisans in small factories. grc Swedish Hasbeens, Nytorgsgatan 36A, 116 40 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 702 0101, swedishhasbeens.com FOR M A P GO TO PAGE 106

Equipped with a button for automatic opening and a cover featuring the same map illustration, this compact umbrella is ideal to take exploring, keeping you ready for any downpour. grc NK Details, Hamngatan 18-20, 111 47 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 762 8000, happysweeds.com
CARRY IT OFF Studio Formata was founded in 2016, and the fact that just a year later it already has stockists in 15 countries is testimony to the appeal of this Swedish brand’s products. This season sees the introduction of the new Magnolian Shades trays, in three different sizes. PRECIOUS INSPIRATION All Blues jewellery studio, founded by two friends in 2010, creates pieces for women and men that are handcrafted by artisans at a foundry in Stockholm. The Ruined Omelette collection came to fruition as a result of co-founder and creative director Fredrik Nathorst inadvertently dropping an egg on the floor while making an omelette one Sunday. This served as the inspiration for designs based on the three components of an egg: the white, yolk and shell. The sleek necklaces and earrings, which play with proportion and shape, are made of polished sterling silver or 18-carat gold. grc Nathalie Schuterman, Birger Jarlsgatan 5, 111 45 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 611 6201, allblues.se FOR M A P GO TO PAGE 97

Tid has been creating minimalist, functional and design-led timepieces since 2012. The brand offers a small, carefully considered range of models in a plethora of colours, giving customers striking everyday watches at an accessible price. Its airy Stockholm store, with its clean lines and all-white decor, reflects the label’s identity. Co-founder Ola E Bernestål talks to Ximena Daneri about space, time and building furniture from scratch ‘We [Bernestål, Petrus Palmér and design studio Form Us With Love’s Jonas Pettersson and John Löfgren] were inspired to create Tid because we felt there wasn’t a watch brand on the market that was simultaneously focused on design and brand experiences. Tid has an interesting story both in terms of the product and the brand that sets it apart from its competitors. Through products and creativity, Tid explores the notion of time. ‘Tid is Swedish for time – a precious currency to spend on things you love. That’s why we invest ours on perfecting watches. From the studio in Stockholm, we obsess over materials and details to produce a limited collection of iconic timepieces for you to wear every day. On one hand Tid sets out to make iconic watches to wear through shifts in times and styles. On the other, Tid acts as a canvas for artists, thinkers, writers and visualisers to conduct creative research with one very simple brief: explore time. ‘Our bestselling model is the Tid No 1. It was created by our design team, Form Us With Love, and aims to reduce the functions of the watch to the barest essentials – an easy-toread dial, adjustable strap and just two choices of colour. ‘The shop in the Vasastan district of Stockholm has been open since August 2014. We chose the area as it is up-and-coming with new nice shops, restaurants and bars. The store was designed by the Tid team in collaboration with Paul Vaugoyeau. All the furniture was hand built by us from American Douglas fir. The space features white walls and a concrete floor alongside the furniture to create a feeling of modernist simplicity. ‘The store is Tid’s first self-owned location, globalblue.com
so it was a great feeling to move in and design it and open the shop. We also have a selection of unique products that we only sell in the store. ‘Aside from our store, my favourite spots to visit in Stockholm are Our Legacy Workshop, 118 Second Läder, Acne Archive, Brandstationen and Aplace to name just a few.’ Tid, Torsgatan 59, 113 37 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 203380, tidwatches.com

t is fine jewellery with an edge,’ says Dannie Larsson of Rare Jewelry, launched in 2015 as the new in-house line of renowned watch and jewellery retailer Nymans Ur 1851. Larsson is creative director of Rare Jewelry, and conceives, draws and hand-paints each design herself before passing it on to the skilled master goldsmiths. Rare Jewelry offers a modern and elegant collection of fine jewellery, made using only the most exemplary materials – precious metals, diamonds and other rare gems. ‘We always design with an edge to avoid too classic a look. Our signature is the reversed princess-cut diamond, and also large, colourful gemstones,’ explains Larsson of Rare Jewelry’s distinctive aesthetic. The reverse princesscut diamond has indeed become something of a trademark of the brand. Find it in the Rare Edge collection, which Larsson sees as particularly representative of the brand for the way it ‘takes classic to a whole new level’. The Gaia Twin bangle, launched in September 2017 as an addition to the popular Gaia line, is another of Larsson’s autumn/winter 2017/18 recommendations. Though Larsson sees her designs as challenging the typical ‘minimalistic comfort
zone’ of her nation’s style, the brand is nonetheless proudly Swedish. ‘We are based in Stockholm and every step from idea to design to atelier production takes place at Östermalm,’ she explains. This enables the brand to offer a bespoke service as well as its ready-to-wear lines, meaning visitors to the Nymans Ur 1851 boutique on Biblioteksgatan can commission a
Outstanding labels are putting Sweden on the jewellery map completely individual piece. As Larsson says, ‘You are your own brand, and you need to feel that your jewellery represents you, and makes you become the best version of yourself.’ Rare Jewelry is just one of a number of outstanding labels putting Sweden, and Stockholm in particular, on the world jewellery map. One of the best known is Efva Attling, whose eponymous founder swapped a career that spanned modelling, fashion design and

music to return to her childhood passion – crafting jewellery – in 1996. Today Attling’s brand is loved worldwide for the elegant simplicity and delicate femininity of its creations. Once a lyricist, Attling sees her jewellery as yet another way to speak to her audience. ‘As I used to write lyrics, I still want to move people with words. I call my design “beauty with a thought”,’ she says. Her jewellery often plays with words and expressions. This season, for example, the Mini Me You & Me range features the words ‘You & Me’ engraved on hoops adorning dainty bracelets and necklaces. The circle is a symbol of eternity, and the collection represents two people linked for ever in love. As well as yellow and white gold, Attling works regularly with sterling silver, a material that Swedish designers embrace more often than their counterparts from other nations,
These are definitely pieces that you will wear and wear perhaps because of the country’s history of mining it. The Reflections collection, released in October, is wholly realised in silver – and for good reason. It offers necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings that feature oval-shaped silver plates that come to life as the light bounces off them. ‘It reflects everything around you,’ says the designer, who hopes the pieces inspire wearers to live in the moment and be inspired by their surroundings. Drakenberg Sjölin, launched by Andrea Drakenberg and Ellen Sjölin in 2009, is another label that works a lot with silver. Its creations feature mainly sterling silver, oxidised silver, 18 carat gold and diamonds. They describe their jewellery as ‘designed for comfort and simplicity … it breathes both strength and elegant fragility. We’ve always shared a love for Swedish nature and its seasons,’ they continue. ‘That’s what we’re trying to capture in our designs.’ The Leaf collection, for example, is Above: Efva Attling Reflections necklace

made by imprinting real leaves (hand-picked by the team) into silver and gold, leaving each with a unique engraving drawn straight from nature. The Drakenberg Sjölin look is minimalist, elegant and perfectly executed. These are pieces that you will wear and wear, and that
look as beautiful alone as they do stacked. The delicate rings, necklaces and bracelets of the Loving Heart and Stella Nova collections are particularly suited to layering, as are the equally dainty pieces from the Birthstone collection. For a bolder statement, the sculptural petals of the Flora necklace are sure to help you stand out, while the Milky Way necklace with its smattering of diamonds on yellow gold emulates the brilliance of the galaxy. ‘A piece of jewellery should be personal, something to cherish and create memories with,’ say Drakenberg and Sjölin. Pick up a future memory of your own from the newly opened flagship on Hamngatan. If you’re looking to embrace a little of the local style while in Stockholm, something from any of these three standout jewellers will complete any outfit

weden’s heyday as a denim hotspot started long before the likes of Cheap Monday, Nudie Jeans, Indigofera Jeans and Dr Denim came to the fore in the early 2000s. The Scandinavian country had a significant textile industry in the 1970s, spawning a multitude of denim brands and retailers, of which Stockholm’s Puss & Kram and Gul & Blå were the most significant. Roland Hjort, creative director of Whyred – and its recently established offshoot Whyred Denim – says that the style formed in this era still resonates strongly with Swedes. ‘The clean Gul & Blå signature of the 70s and 80s was essentially a refined version of the American look, resulting in a cleaner and more Scandinavian silhouette that still prevails – it’s almost become part of the Swedish uniform.’ Foundations may have been laid decades ago, but Sweden’s denim market is anything but stagnant, with room for a diverse line-up
of brands. Artisan label Sarva, inspired by the Sami people of northern Scandinavia, is an interesting new addition. Most of the young label’s hand-finished garments are made in Sweden. ‘We’re lucky to have found one small factory that’s hung on to its machines and expertise since the glory days of Swedish textile production,’ enthuses co-founder Anton Olsson. Sarva’s key jean is the Riekte Sami Selvedge, a slim-to-regular fit crafted from a specially developed 14oz selvedge fabric woven on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms, which features a reindeer leather patch. Hasjeans, from wooden sandal specialist Swedish Hasbeens, is another new entrant. Demand for its retro-esque colourful jeans is high. So what’s behind the denim surge that’s given the industry a new lease of life? ‘I think the answer is partly historical, partly cultural, partly coincidental,’ observes Dr Denim’s CEO Alexander Graah, who founded the

accessible, fashion-driven brand with his brother Johannes and father Morten in 2004. ‘Aside from Sweden’s textile-industry past, Swedes have developed a laid-back clothing culture – we’re early adopters, and we have a long history of appreciating things with popand sub-cultural significance.’ Örjan Andersson, founder of Cheap Monday and Weekday, is celebrated as one of Sweden’s denim mavericks, credited with setting the budget jean movement in motion and inspiring a new generation of homegrown brands. Having sold Cheap Monday and Weekday to the H&M group, he’s gone on to set up the eponymous Örjan Andersson, which caters to both men and women. It has a cool rocker aesthetic at its core, coupled with traditional denim attributes and influences drawn from fashion and culture. The designer’s personal favourite from the autumn/ winter 2017/18 collection is style 205 – an
all-over printed model with a 90s vibe, crafted from non-stretch denim. The denim terrain, and the way we shop, has developed greatly since Andersson put his first pair of Cheap Monday jeans on the shelf over 17 years ago. What’s the most significant shift? ‘During the start of the 2000s, pretty much only one fit ruled: a skinny with lots of stretch,’ he observes. ‘This style sold itself – you just had to lay it out like cartons of milk at the supermarket. Today, you have to possess excellent product knowledge and generally make much more of an effort to sell jeans as there are so many more fits to choose from, made in fabric without stretch.’ Örjan Anderson’s entire offering, as well as a selection of vintage jeans, can be browsed in the designer’s Södermalm flagship store. On the same side of town, you’ll find a Nudie Jeans Repair Shop as well as the Dr Denim Gallery, where staff like to sit down and chat

to visitors over a cup of coffee, perhaps after they’ve tried on Dr Denim’s new slim-fit Taylor jean with exposed ankle zips. You don’t have to seek out specialist denim brands for an instant fix of blue, though. Jeans and denim separates have infiltrated the collections of many Swedish fashion labels, including Filippa K, Rodebjer, Odd Molly and Acne Studios. Dig into a wide assortment of styles from almost as many brands at denim retail chain JC, which swung open the doors to a revamped space on Drottninggatan in central Stockholm in June 2017. An important date in the diary for industry insiders and fashion lovers, the leading fashion week in northern Europe continues to make waves this autumn/winter. Stockholm plays host twice a year to some of Sweden’s most interesting designers and brands, all showcasing their latest collections to buyers and influencers from across the globe. There was an exciting mix of well-known names and up-and-coming talent this season, with the five-day event showcasing the best in cuttingedge design. All eyes were on home-grown heroes such as Daisy Grace, founded by sisters Hannah Widell and Amanda Schulman in 2016, which was showing for the second time at Stockholm Fashion Week. Alongside the catwalk show, the pair released a short film named The Two of Us. It follows the tumultuous romantic relationship of a young, super-cool couple, both of them dressed from head to toe in the Left: Valerie autumn/winter 2017/18

brand’s autumn/winter 2017/18 collection, which features pink down jackets and oversized denim shirts offset by sequined sneakers. The collection, aptly named Sweet Rebel, encapsulates perfectly the youthful, playful and rebellious spirit of Daisy Grace. Valerie, and its eponymous founder and designer Valerie Aflalo, wowed attendees with some strong evening looks. The show opened with a striking black Mongolian fur jacket, worn with velvet boots and an evening slip dress. One-shouldered ruffle tops, tasselled mid-length dresses, sheer panels and metallics dominated the rest of the looks. Pops of burnt
orange and red added a bold touch to flowing silk tops and skirts, contrasted with oversized silk bow belts. The disco era of the 1970s was an obvious influence on the brand, known for its focus on high-quality fabrics and design. Young designers were given an exciting platform at the event thanks to a collaboration between Stockholm’s Beckmans College of Design and several established Scandinavian brands. Final-year student Angelica Eichler paired with Finnish fashion veteran Marimekko to create a three-outfit collection: a bold printed cape with angular lines was teamed with a clean white shirt with an oversized collar and

Young designers were given an exciting platform a soft leather pencil skirt with a deconstructed vibe. The result was a fashion-forward take on formal dressing. Elsewhere, Sofia Hildebrand collaborated with 2nd Day, creating garments from crocodile skin. The standout piece was an all-black high-shine trench coat, juxtaposed with softer silk fabrics in the form of pale blue trousers and hemp cuffs on billowing sleeves. Chunky knitwear was at the forefront of the collaboration between Johan Balaz and Whyred. An oversized red jumper and green knit calf-length cardigan both featured a patchwork effect; layered over checked shirts and flared trousers, they made for a stylish Above (from left): Angelica Eichler x Marimekko; Johan Balaz x Whyred, both autumn/winter 2017/18

autumn/winter look. In the showrooms, jewellery designers flourished. Baumgarten di Marco, which creates distinctive unisex pieces that are both elegant and edgy, curated an engaging display. Raw-cut diamonds appeared on striking drop necklaces and oval rings in precious metals. Playfully displayed in hanging glass cases, the fine necklaces and rings were minimalist yet beautiful, a true reflection of quintessential Scandinavian style. Menswear designers were well represented, too, with brands such as Gothenburg’s
L’Homme Rouge leading the way with its innovative creations. This popular brand started as an undefined project from a group of creatives who each had a passion for design, society and art. Today L’Homme Rouge is dedicated to fashion-forward men who wish to live life to the full. This season’s collection showcased a mainly black and navy colour palette, with touches of lilac, pale yellow and grey. Fine knit sweaters featured zip detailing; at the presentation clean-cut blazers were teamed with workmen-style boots for a twist on a classic look. Instead of a traditional catwalk,

There were echoes of the club kid era guests were invited into an industrial space as a monologue opened the show, where models weaved through wooden plinths, and rock ’n ’ roll music played. Also challenging convention in the menswear stakes, Lazoschmidl presented an eye-catching collection. Based between Germany and Sweden, the young designers behind the label aim to unite the disciplines of fashion design and humanist art, and have already attracted international media attention. On the catwalk, male models were dressed in sheer shirts and ripped jeans, often accessorised
with silk or leopard-print fabrics. Bright cherry red ensembles consisting of fine-knit crop tops, animal-skin box jackets and form-fitting trousers added to the avant-garde rock star look. With echoes of the 90s club kid era, with its themes of dressing up and blurring gender lines, the whole collection pushed the boundaries with regard to what the future of menswear could be. With progressive ideas such as this to the fore, it’s not surprising that Stockholm Fashion Week continues to attract an ever-growing band of style-savvy admirers

he ever was. The man himself took time out to talk about the brand’s legacy and his covetable new creations. J Lindeberg was built in the same way as so many modern innovators, with the goal of finding a stagnant industry and disrupting it. After cutting his teeth with Renzo Rosso at Diesel – a brand that revolutionised the denim industry – Lindeberg wanted to bring the lessons he had learned into play on his own label. ‘When I left Diesel in 1996 I got a very ambitious idea to challenge Ralph Lauren, a brand that represented the establishment, with a new, more culturally relevant brand. And I thought the combination of fashion and sports would be a modern way of dressing. I decided to use golf as it was owned by the establishment and I had played golf for many years, so I had this revolutionary idea of going into an established environment and challenging it with new values,’ Lindeberg recalls. ‘I thought, if I could dress them in a more modern way, they might start to change their values and think in a more modern way.’ In line with this contemporary philosophy, Lindeberg has returned to design this season’s womenswear collection 10 years after his departure from the brand. ‘I decided to start to redesign womenswear as it was never given Above (from left): J Lindeberg store on Biblioteksgatan; a look from the brand’s autumn/winter 2017/18 collection

any real priority, and as I am an engaged feminist I believe it’s not possible to create a modern lifestyle brand without a woman in a central role.’ Lindeberg’s love of strong women can be seen in his structured suiting, from wide-leg trousers, waistcoats and blazers in white pinstripe to a low-cut tuxedo jacket worn with logo side-striped slimfit trousers. For the daring, the cherry red suit is a striking choice. ‘Sharp tailoring has always been part of J Lindeberg’s DNA. I started with skinny sharp suits in ‘97,’ Lindeberg explains. ‘It feels like a natural item for the woman I want to dress. right slouchy shape.’ This Lindeberg has certainly achieved in the form of the Sydney coat, a long black affair that is sure to keep you warm and dry in winter. There is also a gilet version, to be layered with hoodies, platform ankle boots and a slim-fit pencil skirt. What Lindeberg gets exactly right is the balance of sophisticated separates with sporty touches. A printed hoodie and leggings are styled with a heavy wool checked coat, while slouchy trousers are teamed with a monochrome turtleneck and white trainers. ‘It’s the combination of fashion and sports that really interests me,’ continues Lindeberg. ‘It’s the way we dress today. that since I was young: cool sneakers and hoodies, parkas and down jackets. It’s no doubt that it’s part of the modern lifestyle. Fashion and sports together feels natural.’ By creating clothing that is both practical and luxurious, J Lindeberg appeals to women who are juggling career, family and their place in society. ‘We want to dress people who want to change the world’ is the brand’s motto and Lindberg already has some high-profile names who embody this spirit on his roster. ‘I used to dress Angelina Jolie before I left J Lindeberg in 2007. She’s definitely a woman I admire, who is engaged in the world.’ In the brand’s latest communication platform, The Bridge Series, Lindeberg champions ‘people who inspire me and who are engaged on all different levels.
I just photographed Ebonee Davis for The Bridge, she is a great freedom fighter. In the previous season we had the Swedish singer Loreen, Waris Ahluwalia, the choreographer Blanca Li. All are creative people who are engaged and try to inspire the world on all different levels.’ Not surprisingly, Lindeberg’s latest range is empowering in its practicality, elegance and simplicity. By creating clothing that today’s innovators long to wear, J Lindeberg aims to ensure it remains synonymous with blue-sky thinking long into the future. ‘I believe a brand should have a purpose and a voice,’ Lindeberg asserts. ‘I think that J Lindeberg can be a powerful brand that will engage and inspire.’ We could not agree more

CAFÉ SOCIETY Perfect for the colder months, afternoon tea is a cosy, indulgent way to spend an hour or two, and Stockholm has an array of delicious options, says Maria Kirchen-Hill
The ritual of afternoon tea originated in England in the 1840s, where members of high society would sit down in the late afternoon to savour dainty sandwiches, fresh cakes and pastries and – of course – the finest teas. While the tradition is still strongly associated with Britain, the simple, indulgent pleasure of a good afternoon tea is loved across the world, and it will come as no surprise that in a city as cultured as Stockholm visitors are spoilt for choice. In autumn and winter, there are few things as pleasant as sitting down to an excellent afternoon tea; what better way could there be to spend a cold afternoon than in a warm, cosy room sharing tasty treats and a perfect brew with friends? Our selection of some of the best teas in Stockholm offers everything from traditional English components to truly Swedish creations, and even includes an option designed around superfoods. globalblue.com
SVENSKT TENN TEA ROOM Situated within one of the world’s most famous interior design stores, the Svenskt Tenn Tea Room is naturally one of the most stylish venues on our list. Offering a view across Stockholm’s picturesque Nybroviken bay, the space features carved wooden furniture and fabrics in the brand’s famous prints. In fact, it would be worth a visit even if the food wasn’t delicious, but of course it is. Afternoon tea starts with Swedish savouries, such as shrimp, fennel and eggs on rye bread with home-made mayonnaise and capers. These are followed by mini scones, clotted cream and speciality preserves, and the meal is finished off with petit fours. Accompanied by a steaming pot of tea, this is the perfect way to relax after exploring this amazing boutique. Svenskt Tenn Tea Room, Strandvägen 5, 114 51 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 670 1600, svenskttenn.se
WIENERCAFÉET
V E T E - K AT T E N
At luxurious Wienercaféet, the decor, ambience and menu are all inspired by the famous cafés of Paris and Vienna, presented with a touch of Swedish flair. Three afternoon teas are available here: Classic, Deluxe and Vegetarian. All are delicious, but we recommend the Deluxe, because afternoon tea is supposed to be an indulgence. The team is classically trained but locally minded, so expect a combination of familiar favourites – lemon meringue pie, say, or macarons – with more unusual, but no less delicious, creations inspired by Sweden, such as a gravlax and sweet mustard sandwich. Wienercaféet, Biblioteksgatan 6-8, 111 46 Stockholm, +46 (0)8 6842 3850, wienercafeet.com
Something of a Stockholm institution, VeteKatten is one of the city’s best known coffee shops. For almost a century the space has been home to some of the best bakers in the city, and the team today proudly keeps its traditions alive. Everything is made from scratch using excellent ingredients and no additives. On Tuesdays, the team serves its outstanding afternoon tea, which changes each week to include the best bakes on offer. You’ll be treated to four little savouries – think tasty sandwiches on the softest of breads – and four little sweet things, from fruit tartlets to flaky pastries. Add to this fresh scones, clotted cream, rich jams and bottomless tea or coffee, and you’re guaranteed a great experience here. Open since 1874, the Grand Hôtel has played host to some of Stockholm’s most high-profile visitors, from celebrities to dignitaries. Follow in their footsteps with afternoon tea at the Cadier Bar. The savoury course is a standout here, featuring delicate and distinctly Swedish sandwiches, such as brie and citrus compote on fruit and nut bread – with all ingredients sourced locally. The scones are soft, fresh and perfect topped with cream and lime curd, while the cakes and pastries provide a sublime conclusion to your meal. Afternoon tea comes served with a pot of the hotel’s own exclusive blend, and an additional glass of champagne is a must for a special occasion. Hotel Diplomat has been serving its classic afternoon tea since the late 1960s, meaning it has the ritual perfected. The Classic option features dainty finger sandwiches, warm scones with home-made marmalade, and beautiful pastries and cakes to finish. For something a little different – and a lot more virtuous – opt for the Afternoon Tea-Tox. This vibrant, colourful and surprisingly delicious option, which is free from gluten, lactose and added sugar, includes raw bars, pumpkin and chocolate truffles, fruit salad, unsweetened dark chocolate and even a ‘superfood’ shot. LYMPSTONE MANOR Set in 28 acres of picturesque Devon countryside, Lympstone Manor has undergone a complete renovation to become one of Britain’s most beautiful country-house hotels. The transformation of the Grade II-listed Georgian mansion,
once one of the region’s grandest private homes, was carried out by Michael Caines, the hotel’s owner and one of the most celebrated chefs in England. The 21-bedroom hotel has been designed to reflect the natural beauty surrounding it, with artwork by local artist Rachel Toll inspired by the area’s waterways, while the design of each of the bedrooms was
inspired by birds that live in and around the nearby River Exe estuary. The hotel is also home to three dining rooms serving Michael Caines’ signature dishes, inspired by the sea and the land, which certainly should not be missed. Following a trip to his mother’s hometown in India, Byredo founder Ben Gorham began creating sophisticated fragrances for both men and women that are inspired by the country’s spices and incense. For autumn/ winter 2017/18, the Stockholm-based brand has introduced its newest perfume, Velvet Haze. Celebrating the 1960s, the opulent scent is inspired by the hippy movement and the free-spirited psychedelia of the decade. A musky fragrance that is perfect for winter, its top notes include coconut milk, ambrette and patchouli, leaving a fresh yet woody aroma wherever you go. TWILFIT Swedish lingerie retailer Twilfit has been making underwear since 1922. Its founder, cigar magnate Anders Andersson, toyed with the idea of selling cars and cosmetics in his Stockholm store before eventually settling on corsets. Nowadays, as well as stocking its own highly popular range, Twilfit has become the Swedish one-stop shop for luxury lingerie brands from around the globe, such as Calvin Klein, Chantelle and Wonderbra. Living up to the store’s motto, ‘It Will Fit You’, its expert staff will kit you out from top to toe: from undergarments and luxury stockings to swimwear, they will make sure everything is just right for you. GUCCI Gucci’s autumn/winter 2017/18 collection has a distinctly sporty element. The GG Marmont belt bag plays on concepts from classic Gucci accessories and incorporates a new 90s urban streetwear vibe while keeping the famed quilted black Italian leather and iconic GG logo in gold hardware. The round pouch and belt style is designed to cinch in the waist and adds a functional and casual touch to any outfit. If you prefer a more classic style, look out for the Sylvie leather top-handle bag. The 50s-inspired shape is given modern flair with the classic Gucci stripe and gold chain detail. Gucci has become the brand of the moment since Alessandro Michele became creative director, and these bags prove that, as well as quirky opulence, he can also turn his hand to the classics.

РУССКИЙ ПЕРЕВОД 48: To Be Treasured Драгоценные фантазии
globalblue.ru
В этом сезоне, например, серия Mini Me You & Me представлена браслетами и ожерельями с выгравированной фразой «You & Me».

54: In The Jeans

112: When You Shop The World, Shop Tax Free Tax Free
