It was a wonderful success and we all thoroughly enjoyed bopping in the JK Hall after the dinner including, dare I say it, Mrs Chetwood! They are now looking forward to their very comprehensive post-CE programme and I know that they will derive enormous amounts of satisfaction and enjoyment from what is on offer during the next

Tokens for Godstowe Rocks All the inflatables and class run stalls at the festival, approximately 18 in total, will be operating a token only system. This means they will not be accepting cash. Tokens are available to purchase on the day at two points on site: one on Walker Lawn and one by the Astroturf. If you’d like to get ahead of the crowds you can buy your tokens in advance and they will be given to you with your tickets in the run up to the event. Please click HERE to buy those now. To help you decide which token bundle to buy, the general rule of thumb is 1 token = 1 stall/inflatable. Any questions please email friends@ godstowe.org

Poem of the week
Have you thought about joining our Car Share Scheme?
By Eleonore Debs Based on artwork by Maya Fennel
A desolate tree, Poised still and silent Upon the horizon. Waiting alone, In the biting frost, For the first call of spring. Waiting. Waiting for the first breeze, The first ray of light Piercing through the clouds, The first chirp of the morning bird. Waiting. Waiting for the gentle buzz, Of busy bees hovering Around the flowers. For the calming swish of Daisies swaying in the meadows. For the distant humming
Godstowe School is a member of the School Car Share scheme, enabling parents to register with the scheme and get in touch with other registered parents whose routes to and from school coincide.
Of wind upon the new leaves. Waiting. Waiting for the warm embrace Upon its barren trunk, For the birds upon its branches, Twisted and knobbled with age. For the first daffodil amid The slowly melting snow. Waiting. Waiting for the rain to fall Gently upon its roots. For the agile squirells To jump once moreamid its branches. For the Longer Days And the Shorter Nights
Registration is completely free and entirely without obligation. It will give parents the opportunity to organise a full-time or part-time car share scheme, or at least a useful list of emergency contact numbers. The website provides an interactive map, with Godstowe in the middle, and automatically displays your route and potential car sharers on the way to school. Parents then simply contact each other to make the car share travel arrangements. To find out more visit www.school-carshare.co.uk.
