Ding dong merrily on high! Well done to everyone for a fabulous term.Very hard working and great fun to boot. I’m looking forward to seeing Main School parents at the Carol Service and thank you for everything you have done in support of Godstowe, as ever. Your children have done themselves

proud in and out of the classroom and I would imagine most of you will be very pleased with the reports. I am certainly pleased with my mental reports for all the staff who have once again pulled out all the stops. My thanks to them all and I wish you all a very happy Christmas holiday. DG

We hope that you all enjoyed the performance of our Nativity, The Shepherd Boy, on Friday as much as we did. Well done to all the children in Lodge and Nursery who put so much effort into all our rehearsals. A big thank you to Richard Johnson and his team in the kitchen for a delicious Christmas lunch today, and to Father Christmas who paid us a surprise visit this morning!

Christmas Fair thanks! Thank you so much to everybody who supported the Christmas Fair last Saturday. It was a fabulous afternoon, all the kids had a great time and it was lovely to see lots of old girls come back too! Just over £5,000 was made which is incredible and a fabulous start towards the planned viewing platform. Huge, huge thanks to all the Friends of Godstowe volunteers who took part in creating and running the stalls. There is a massive amount of work that goes into planning the Fair and the day is only really made possible because of the time they give. And also a big thank you to everybody who made a donation from jam jars to soft toys! In addition The Art Room, the charity supported by the cake stall, will be

receiving a cheque for £335. It’s a really worthwhile cause, do take a look at their website if you haven’t managed to yet: www.theartroom.org.uk. Ceramics collections For those children who painted mugs and decorations last Saturday their ceramic goodies will be ready for collection Friday afternoon between from around 3pm, after the Nativity for Lodge parents and then at pick up for Main School from 4pm. So that’s it from Friends of Godstowe until 2014. Thank you for a great Autumn Term and see you in January!
