EL MEJOR CONECTADO En octubre de 2016, el gobierno declaró su apoyo a la ampliación de Heathrow. Con 40 nuevos destinos, el proyecto hará de Gran Bretaña el país mejor conectado de Europa. Duplicación de la capacidad de carga, construcción de una tercera pista y aumento de conexiones domésticas serán algunas de las novedades.

In October 2016, the government declared its support for Heathrow expansion. With 40 new destinations, the project will make Britain the best connected country in Europe. Doubling cargo capacity, building a third lane and increasing domestic connections will be some of the innovations.

LÍDER EN SOTENIBILIDAD El Heathrow 2.0 es la nueva estrategia de sostenibilidad del aeropuerto con la que buscará convertirse en líder mundial en la entrega de aviones limpios. Para eso, registrará en una tabla trimestral las emisiones y sonido de las aerolíneas. El objetivo es reconocer el buen desempeño, ofrecer a las aerolíneas retroalimentación e incentivar el uso de las aeronaves más silenciosas y menos contaminantes.
LEADER IN SUSTAINABILITY
Heathrow 2.0 is the airport's new sustainability strategy with which it will seek to become a world leader in the delivery of clean aircraft. For that, it will record in a quarterly table the emissions and sound of the airlines. The aim is to recognize good performance, give airlines feedback and encourage the use of the quietest and least polluting aircraft.
