Unfortunately, reliever Bobby Parnell had nothing, and wound up giving up three fast runs; the Mets went down meekly in the top of the ninth inning. been forgotten, and her memory has never been more appreciated thanks to Conner’s dedication to do something special. Most bowling fans refer to it as “The Luci,” and this year it took place from July 31 through August 2 at Palace Lanes in Houston. The event is now called the PBA/PWBA Xtra Frame Striking Against Breast Cancer Mixed Doubles; in its 16th year, the tournament this time had its largest entry ever, including a large contingent of Professional Bowlers Association and Professional Women’s Bowling Association stars headlining a soldout field of 256 competitors. “In 1999 when Luci died, we were talking and decided, let’s run a bowling tournament,” Conners said. “In 2000, I decided I was going to put together an event the way I wanted it to be, with tough conditions because breast cancer is a tough battle. It was a shot in the dark, and it worked, and it sold out.” The inaugural event at 32-lane Dynamic Lanes sold out its Pro-Am tournament for two nights. Conners said the first event raised $7,000 for the weekend. “We thought we had really raised some money,” she said. “So we kept at it, involving vendors I work with at our pro shop and we reached the outside world when (Storm Products co-owner) Barb Chrisman got involved. From that day forward, Storm has sponsored us every year and we just keep growing.” Over the years, the tournament has raised approximately $650,000 to combat breast cancer. explained. Two years ago, St. Joseph’s Hospital was sold, and the new ownership shut down The Stehlin Foundation, “so we started our own Striking Against Breast Cancer charity,” Connors said. “The money we’ve raised is being donated to

and Kelly Johnson – for two low-level minor leaguers, and also called up top prospect outfielder Michael Conforto (probably sooner than the GM would have liked). It’s surprising that the Braves were basically throwing in the towel for 2015 by sending the Mets a pair of .275 hitters – Hall of Fame numbers by New York standards these days. Although it can be argued that closer Jeurys Familia has been the Mets’ MVP as he has converted most of his save opportunities, he showed signs of wear and tear as the campaign hit August. Alderson wisely decided to obtain insurance by acquiring former Nationals setup man Tyler Clippard from the Oakland A’s. The cherry on the sundae for Mets fans was the trade for slugging outfielder Yoenis Cespedes during the final hour of the pre-
waiver trade deadline on July 30. In storybook fashion, the Mets swept the Washington Nationals in a three-game series, and at press time looked like serious contenders for the first time in what feels like eons. The first sign of the 2015 NFL season is here: Teams have opened training camps. For the first time in many years, both the New York Jets’ and New York Giants’ camps are easily accessible to the public, as both are using their respective New Jersey bases in Florham Park and East Rutherford. Check the teams’ websites to find practices that are open to the public free of charge. Many fans miss watching the Jets train at Hofstra University, but “Gang Green” will return for their annual visit on Saturday, August 23. I spoke with Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan at the Boomer & Carton Celebrity Softball Game at Yankee Stadium, who said that he is amenable to moving part of the Jets training camp back to Long Island. Since the Jets have both a new GM (himself) and a new head coach (Todd Bowles), it made sense for them at this time to hold summer training at the team’s yearround base of operations. It will be interesting to see if the New York Islanders will be able to retain their loyal Nassau and Suffolk County fan bases as the team relocates

Fantastic 4
Starring Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell Directed by Josh Trank, Joshua Trank 20th Century Fox
Before this new Marvel-based wannabe blockbuster even reached theaters, fans and comic book nerds were complaining, bitching, moaning, and griping. Here's a compendium of comments, edited and softened more than a bit for your protection: They're all too young! This version of the Fantastic Four looks like a bunch of teenagers at a costume party! Where's Jessica Alba in her skin-tight rubber outfit? What's the idea of casting Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm? He's an African-American – Johnny Storm is a white guy! What gives? (Note: It was in the news that many trolling comics fans' comments were much, much worse than this; those “fans” should be ashamed of themselves.) Where's Jessica Alba? There have already been two Fantastic Four movies already; I'm used to those characterizations and the feel of those films. Why do we need another “re-imagining”? We've already had re-dos of both Spider-Man and The Hulk. Why do we need to start at the beginning again ... again? Where's Jessica Alba?

Season Roundup Fun Home Circle in the Square An American In Paris Palace Theatre The King And I Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center
The Tonys, Drama Desk, Outer Critics, and New York Critics Circle Awards have all been bestowed after a jampacked season. The first post-Tony casualties included “Airline Highway,” “The Visit,” and “Gigi.” Based on the 1956 morality play by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, “The Visit,” the final collaboration of John Kander and the late Fred Ebb (“Chicago,” “Cabaret”), was a dark musical about greed and murderous revenge. John Doyle’s stylized production capitalized on the star wattage of razzle dazzle Broadway legend Chita Rivera ,who at 82 gave a mesmerizing, powerfully moving, and committed performance that could not camouflage a depressing story. “Gigi,” on the other hand – all handsome Belle Époque period costumes, Parisian settings and a lilting familiar Lerner and Loewe score – attempted to woo young fans by starring “High School Musical” pop star Vanessa Hudgens (surrounded by wonderful Broadway pros) in her Broadway debut, but her spunky high spirits did not lure enough theatergoers to keep the musical running. Unfortunately, the exquisite production was undermined by the producers’ timid approach to Collette’s tale of a 15-year-old-girl being groomed to be a courtesan, and by “Call the Midwife’s” Heidi Thomas disastrous politically correct rewriting of Lerner’s book and reassignment of songs (“Thank Heaven for Little Girls” was suddenly deemed “pervy”). The big winners with five Tonys each were theunderdog upset “Fun Home,” (besting the more conventional favorite “An American in Paris”) and “The Curious

Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime.” Based on Alison Bechdel’s acclaimed 2006 autobiographical graphic memoir, “Fun Home” netted awards as best musical, best director, and best score and best book for composer Jeanne Tesori and writer Lisa Kron – a Tony first for women to win in these categories for one musical. Both a coming-of-age and a coming-out tale, the moving musical examines Alison’s relationship with her conflicted and ultimately suicidal closeted gay father (played with

Mister Fantastic – couldn't possibly be that young. He's one of the most brilliant characters in comics; Toby Kebbel looks like he should be studying for his senior year SATs. Reed has gray temples – gray temples! And when he stretches, well, they might as well write “CGI” on his arms! Where's Jessica Alba? We don't like the new version of The Thing! The old Michael Chiklis version looked more like the Thing from the comic books. This Thing is way too big, too ugly, too menacing. The original Thing could at least smile – this one looks like he's going to crack apart any minute now! Where's Jessica Alba? We are overdosing on Marvel! Already this year, we've had the Avengers sequel, and Ant-Man in still in the mallplex. We need two of these at the same time? Where's Jessica Alba? How come the uniforms are so different? We like the old ones! Where's Jessica Alba? Our take: Yup to everything but the ridicluous gripes about Jordan. And one more point: Where's Jessica Alba?
By Jane Klain charmer. Based on an MGM film classic directed by Vincente Minnelli with a script by Alan Jay Lerner (like “Gigi”), the Gene Kelly vehicle marks the dazzling stage debut of triple-threat charmer Robert Fairchild, a principal with the New York City Ballet who not only thrills with his athletic and balletic dancing but proves equally accomplished as a singer and actor, burning up the stage with his sizzling charisma and good looks. The buoyant romantic musical – featuring a songbook of terrific jazzy Gershwin tunes (winning the best orchestration Tony) – also showcases the stunning Tony-winning dances (from ballet to tap) of Christopher Wheeldon, a renowned ballet choreographer making his directing debut. Playwright Craig Lucas has darkened the story – as post-War Paris reawakens from the depression of the Occupation with breadlines and revenge – and given Fairchild’s rivals for the affections of Lise (dancer Leanne Cope) backstories, making them gay and Jewish. Bob Crowley’s painterly sets netted a Tony as did Natasha Katz’s evocative lighting. No wonder the musical sends audiences out with a smile on their faces and a tap to their steps. Winner of the best musical revival, the 1951 beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein classic “The King and I,” has been given a sumptuous production by Lincoln Center Theater. Under the sure hand of director Bartlett Sher, who breathed fresh life into Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” in 2008 starring Kelli O’Hara, this musical about the clash of cultures and the need for tolerance, features exquisite costumes (for which Catherine Zuber won a Tony), the rich sound of an enormous orchestra and award-winning performances by six-time nominee Kelli O’Hara and “Here Lies Love”s Ruthie Ann Miles, as the British widow who moves to Bangkok in the 1860s to teach the many wives and children of the proud and autocratic King of Siam (played until July 14 by Japanese star Ken Watanabe) and the king’s Number 1 Wife, respectively. Though she’s a bit bland, O’Hara’s crystalline voice soars with great warmth in such enduring classics as “Getting to Know You” and “Shall We Dance.”

COMEDY LICF AOK: One of the most entertaining Long Island Comedy Festival events evert staged took place on July 18 at The Madison Theatre at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, as every standup comedian on the packed bill of fare scored like gangbusters. Hosted by the ever-wry and genial Paul Anthony, the bill included the hilariously put-upon Rob Falcone; the lovely yet righteously frustrated Veronica Mosey; fast-rising observational star Scott Schendlinger; the pleasing, upbeat Moody McCarthy, and the always manic Long Island favorite Rich Walker. It was one of those rare nights where everything worked; every comic, a headliner in his or her own right, earned the rousing ovations they received from a big, varied crowd of comedy fans. The Long Island Comedy Festival returns to Theatre Three in Port Washington on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August

Your Guide To The Year’s Biggest EDM Event
It’s the time of the year that we all wait patiently for. The time of the year where we get one of the biggest EDM festivals in the U.S. in our own backyard. None other than Electric Zoo. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the event, let me lift that rock up for you and bring you a little bit into the light. Every year, at the crossroads
Slander
between Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx on Randall’s Island, there is a gathering of hundreds of thousands of people who come together to listen to and experience a different world. Electric Zoo is a music festival that takes place on its own island, giving it a secluded yet special feeling. Compared to most other festivals, which are usually set in a downtown, crowded environment, Electric Zoo takes the music to a parallel universe. This year, “EZoo” is ramping up to give its attendees an even better experience. Bringing in the minds that were behind TomorrowWorld, Mysteryland, and Sensation, the festival is looking to give itself a fresh new look and will raise the bar compared to previous Electric Zoo. Fans can expect bigger stages, brighter lights, and an exceptional production. New art and interactive installations will play into the festival’s core zoo theme. The lineup for this year caters to a wide variety of festivalgoers spanning tons of different genres. Artists for this year range from the likes of Above And Beyond, Adventure Club, 3lau, Fightclvb, Gramatik, and Keys And Krates to The Chemical Brothers, Markus Schulz, Oliver Heldens, Excision, and Bro Safari. With this new lineup also comes a transformation in pricing schemes: No more will you have to figure out if you can dish out $400 for a weekend festival. Electric Zoo has made major price cuts for all types of tickets. For around $280 after taxes, you can experience the whole weekend at Electric Zoo. If you’re not looking to spend your entire labor day weekend on Randall’s Island, they have more than reasonable options for oneday and two-day passes. Learn all about it at ElectricZooFestival.com. Once you’re at the festi-
val, there are some things you need to remember to make your festival experience a good one. It’s pretty much a given that you’re going to be attending the festival with a group of friends (or at least one other person). Everyone has different tastes in music and some of your friends may want to see Slander while you want to see Kennedy Jones. Just let everyone do their thing and make sure you set up a meeting time and place so that you can reconnect after both sets. Cell phone reception is not so great when you have 100,000 people all trying to connect to the same 4 networks at the same time. On that note, set your phone to airplane mode unless you absolutely need it. That text message isn’t going through no matter where you hold your phone in the air. Don’t waste your battery, especially when you’re going to need it to take pictures and videos of all those headlining acts. And while you’re out there dancing and going crazy to Brillz or TJR, remember to take breaks and get water. Most music festivals, including EZoo, offer free water to their patrons and have medical tents all over the place. Get some water at least after every act you see. It’ll make your festival experience a lot better, I can guarantee that. One last bit of advice that will save you a lot of time getting into the festival is exactly how you get there. Several different options exist such as driving in, taking a bus, or walking. Believe it or not, the fasting approach
Chemical Brothers seems to be walking. There is tons of traffic getting onto and through the island and parking is both limited and expensive. A similar situation exists with the buses. There are long lines and it’s crowded to get on. I recommend taking the 4, 5, or 6 subway lines north (towards the Bronx) and getting off at 125th Street. From there, it’s about a 25 minute walk onto the Island. Although it seems like it might be long, when you’re with friends and hanging out, it’s really not that bad at all and lots of other people do it as well. Hope to see you all at the festival and that you all have a great time there. There are still plenty of tickets available online and it’s an event not to be missed. If you wanna hit me up, feel free to at richiegtechno@gmail.com. Until next time, keep raging my friends.

We'll begin this edition with a small editorial comment about making a demo, single, or album: DIY is D-U-M-B. Why? There are only about 100 reasons, but a big one is that when laying down tracks for bookings or radio play, getting the advice of an accomplished, top musician is vital if you have aspirations of having your music heard by anyone other than friends and family. your feet dancing and grinning? Is such a thing even possible in today’s day and age of disposable pop songs? Legendary artists tour sporadically, and that iconic group continues to get smaller. Live music fans deserve the opportunity to see a non-stop feel good show that is fun for multi-generations – and they find this with Creedence Clearwater Revisited. The backbone of the group is Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford, who are the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section (bass and drums respectively) from the legendary group Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). Cook and Clifford started the Revisited project in 1995 when a friend wanted to promote a few concerts. They didn’t realize at the time what a gap their performances would fill in the live music circuit and that they would wind up playing close to 100 shows a year in the United States, Canada and abroad. “We never really had any intention of playing for the public,” said Cook. “We got talked into it, but didn’t know how it would go over ... In the beginning Cosmo and I decided that if we could find the musicians that could capture the sound and recreate what the music was about, we’d do it.” Every song performed is a Creedence classic, and the
concerts has been remarkable, driven in part by a generation of kids who, as Cosmo says, “Weren’t even born when the music came out.” Likewise, the release of a double-live CD on Universal’s Hip-O Records label, which features passionate, authoritative versions of 22 classic hits, was the result of public demand. “It was generated by requests of the people who came to the shows,” said Cook. “Over and over they would ask, ‘do you guys have a CD?’” Creedence Clearwater Revisited’s Recollection has proven so popular that in 2008 it was certified platinum by the RIAA. The band’s 2014 lineup includes lead guitarist Kurt Griffey, who has recorded and toured with members of The Eagles, Foreigner, The Moody Blues, Wings, Lynyrd Skynryd, Santana, and Journey; lead singer and guitar player John Tristao (who rose to prominence as lead singer for the band People when their hit “I Love You” bulleted into the Top 10); and versatile Steve Gunner, who plays keyboards, acoustic guitar, percussion, and harmonica. Creedence Clearwater Revisited headlines The Paramount in Huntington on Thursday, August 20. Tickets: paramountny.com.
pre-sale now at rockoutbooks.com. The book provides a whopping 445 images of female rock fans at concerts curated from Blakesberg’s lengthy career. “Hippie Chick celebrates the unique connection between the vibrant community of free-spirited women who are inspired by, Rob and help inspire, live music. Riggle Blakesberg’s visual anthropology beautifully captures the feminine festival and concert archetypes, and the individuals who have graced the fields and performance halls of America since 1980. Earth mamas and fairy princesses, hula hoopers and whirling dervishes, front row regulars and flower crown makers; the entire tribe of dedicated, music-loving women – their fashion and their passion – is sensuously brought to life through Blakesberg’s artful lens,” said a press release, and it's hard to argue with that summation. None other than Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane provides the book’s foreword, offering a retrospective of women in the original hippie-era music scene. Slick writes: “We chose to manifest our dreams rather than follow a pre-set norm. We chose to fly rather than crawl. We chose to experiment rather than walk through someone else’s flat world.” More tasteful than it might sound, this book is clearly a great gift idea for both rockers and fine photography lovers. Another new book is – and we're not kidding – The Invention Of Clothing, now available everywhere; the book tells the story of the clothes we wear and how they came to be. In these pages is the origin of denim and why jeans became an American icon; a Chinese Empress who unravels the secret of a cocoon to discover silk; and
the creation of Velcro after a walk in the mountains. The book by author Art Neufeld details virtually every type of garment, telling the stories of, among other things, bras, pants, zippers, bikinis, and Gore-Tex. On Sound Stages: From “Saturday Night Live” to Saturday night stays, it seems: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has hired comedian Rob Riggle as the Holiday Inn Express brand's “Creative Director” and “Breakfast Excellence Honcho.” In this newly created “role,” Riggle will be responsible for delivering comedy and “driving Express Start breakfast enthusiasm for the brand through a variety of unique programs,” according to a press release. Former “SNL” stars are the rage in advertising these days; Darrell Hammond has caught the attention of millions as Col. Harland Sanders on the truly strange new series of Kentucky Fried Chicken TV ads … Home shopping network Evine Live –
formerly ShopHQ, formerly ShopNBC – remains the same laughably bad TV experience, even after its “makeover” by new CEO Mark Bozek about a year ago. It's the same products delivered by the same people the same way; the only changes seem to be a couple of new sets and some souped-up graphics. It's still tedious hours of cheesy budget watches pretending to be “collectible,” no-name cookware, and women's fashions so dowdy they'd make Heidi Klum look like Hermione Gingold. Already, “Evine Dead” jokes are all over social media, and it's easy to see why: Evine remains fourth in a three-network home shopping race, far behind QVC and HSN.

One of the last great classic bluesmen and guitarists , Buddy Guy, returns to Long Island in style when he headlines at The Space At Westbury on Friday, August 21; tickets are on sale now. For more information, log on to thespaceatwestbury.com; for tickets: ticketmaster.com. Guy, whose blistering solos and soulful vocals have made him a legend in blues and R&B music, recently released his newest album, Born To Play Guitar on Silvertone/RCA Records; the fact that this star still records for a major label is testament to his immense popularity and staying power. Born To Play Guitar features guest appearances by Van Morrison, Joss Stone, Kim Wilson (The Fabulous Thunderbirds), and Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top). Morrison joins Guy on “Flesh & Bone,” a song dedicated to B.B. King. On “Come Back Muddy,” Guy reminisces about the “good ole days” with his friend, Muddy Waters. The album is produced by Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter Tom Hambridge. Guy is as charismatic as he is talented; recent interviews reveal that while this might be a veteran of the blues game, he still displays the passion of a hungry artist. “Every time we would finish a session,” said Guy after the recording of a previous album, Rhythm & Blues, “if everybody felt good about it, we’d say, ’Let’s do another.’ You need about 14, 15 songs for an album, but we had passed 18 songs and I said, ‘Man, when is this going to be over?’ But they kept

At age 78, Guy is a Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee; a major influence on rock titans Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan; a pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound; and a living link to that city’s halcyon days of electric blues. He has received six Grammy Awards along with a 2015 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, 34 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), The Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, and The Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone ranked him in the top 25 of its "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time." Guy was also awarded the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime contribution to American culture; at a performance at the White House, Guy persuaded President Obama to join him on a chorus of “Sweet Home Chicago.” Also in 2012, Guy published a memoir, When I Left Home, and released Live at Legends, which was nominated for Best New Recording in The Living Blues Awards. Meanwhile, Guy keeps looking to the future of the blues through his ongoing work with his young protégé, Quinn Sullivan. For a night of real blues, The Space will be the place.

Lilly-Anne Merat A Soulful, Stirring New Vocal Sensation
RHYTHM TRACKING Songs Of Summer: As is our fine tradition, we now examine the state of pop music by looking at the Top Ten singles at summer's midpoint – the beach/pool music, as it were. Not surprisingly, the #1 spot is held by Taylor Swift, who seems to own the real estate on both the singles and album charts. In her own way, Swift has the same impact in
Taylor Swift
Who: Lilly-Anne Merat currently ranks among the region’s fastest-rising vocalists, capable of performing in a variety of styles and genres – yet concentrates on forming her own unique, original sound. She recently headlined at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, a high water mark for any fledgling performer. The Artist & Her Sound: From her official bio: “Music and singing have been Lilly-Anne’s passions for as long as she can remember. Her lifelong love for soul music began when she first heard The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and has been expanding ever since. She enjoys discovering the ways in which soulful styles have been used in all genres of music. There is something particularly powerful about the presence of soul in song, and it is her greatest pleasure to bring a bit of soul to everyone she encounters. “While attending Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, she directed an all female a cappella group, eventually leading them across the country to sing for the judges of ‘X Factor’ in Seattle's Key Arena. After graduating Skidmore with a degree in music, she has been pursuing her singing career in the New York and Asheville music scenes. She performs regularly around the Hamptons accompanied by a number of guitarists and bands. In Asheville, she performs with the bands Third Nature and Papadosio. She is the featured vocalist on the debut EarthCry album, a side project started by Anthony from Papadosio. She is also featured on Third Nature’s next album, set to be released this year. “Currently, Lilly-Anne resides in Asheville during the winter and this area during the summer, traveling between the two places regularly. She is extremely happy to have such a wonderful network of talented musicians in both locations. One of her biggest joys in music is collaborating with others, and she looks forward to meeting and working with new people from all different musical backgrounds. At the moment, she is writing original songs to include on her debut EP, to be released at the end of this year. Look out for her demo, which will be a preview of the songs to be included in the EP. She is very much looking forward to showcasing her versatile singer/songwriter skills through the album.” To Learn More About The Artist: Log on to lillyannemerat.com; find show and music info on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and SoundCloud.

2015 that Elvis Presley and The Beatles once did; her opinions actually affect things, including the streaming industry. If she smiles upon an artist, she raises that artist's stock value – such is the case with Kendrick Lammar, who is featured on "Bad Blood," an excellent track that instantly sticks. In all, it’s quite amazing for a girl who started out on the country charts to go to #1 with a song featuring a hip hop sensation. At #2 (on the “American Top 40” countdown) is "Hey Mama" a collaboration of David Guetta (who made it hip Tove for DJs to show up on the Lo charts as artists), Nicki Minaj (who seems to live on the chart almost as much as Swift), and another EDM wiz, AfroJack. The tune is dance floor gold and has been a radio mainstay for months. It's followed by "Shut Up And Dance" by Walk The Moon, a fresh faced-band’s pop/ bubblegum track bearing a semblance of a rock sensibility, a unique and rare thing in this decade. The fourth biggest track is "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa and a new (to me, anyway) kid named Charlie Puth, from the Furious 7 soundtrack; it’s a memorial tune for Paul Walker, and the song had been #1 seemingly forever until

it finally started moving down the chart. The fifth biggest song of the moment is a tropical islands breeze of a tune called "Cheerleader" by Omi. No, I never heard of him, either, but it's a perfect summer, boyfriend/ girlfriend record, very simple and to the point, like everything on the chart these days, instantly catchy. That same term would certainly describe "Worth It” by a glam girl group called Fifth Harmony, who have been waiting for a hit for a while – and it’s finally here, and the groove alone is worth it, as is the contribution of rapper Kid Ink. At #7 on the chart is my favorite of the moment, a monumental “turn up the radio” tune called "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd (yes, that's how he spells it). The summer chart is party central, indeed. Checking in at #8 is Tove Lo, the Nordic bad girl, with "Talking Body," which is exactly about what you’d think it's about, and the video on YouTube will bear that out. If you're one of those asking “What happened to MTV?”: It all went to YouTube, where you see what you want instantly, unlike the 80s when I had to sit through dreadful REO Speedwagon videos hoping for a glance of Adam Ant or Toyah. In this regard, lot of folks have spent a lot of time watching the #9 tune, "Want To Want Me" by the great Jason Derulo, who sings and dances better than anyone out there right now, and this hit is another of my “turn it up” faves while driving.
At #10, none other than the infamous Justin Bieber provides the vocals for "Where Are you Now" by Skrillex and Diplo, and it’s another tune that’s a club and radio smash. I like them all ... what can I tell ya? That's our yearly mid-summer hits wrapup – turn it up!

Sis! Boom! Ahhhh...!
Cheerleaders Make Hit Hotter
How do you make a smash hit record even bigger? The New England Patriots Cheerleaders created a lip-sync video to OMI’s summer smash “Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix),“ which at press time had become one of the biggest viral sensations of the year. OMI’s hit held the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks. And make no mistake: “Cheerleader” is a hit of epic proportions. At press time, it enjoyed combined YouTube views of nearly 253 million; nearly six million stream on U.S. Spotify; and plantinum certifications in the U.S., the U.K., Spain, Ireland (two times), Norway (two times), Denmark (three), Italy (three), Australia (four) and Sweden (five). We think we can state this without question: “Cheerleader” is the summer song of 2015.
So Much To ‘Adore’

Green's new album is the followup to 2010’s blockbuster The Lady Killer, which was highlighed by the massive hits “Fool For You (Feat. Melanie Fiona)” and “F**k You.”
Go Out To Sea With Paramore
Their Moment Is Now
Ahoy, Hayley:
In This Moment:
Paramore has announced plans for the second installment of its popular “Parahoy!” vacation experience, basically a four-day music festival at sea presented in partnership with Sixthman Productions and Norwegian Cruise Lines. “Parahoy!” will feature special activities, meet and greets, and Paramore live performances. The cruise – a full charter aboard the luxurious Norwegian Pearl – sails for the first time round-trip from Miami, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico from March 5 through 9, 2016. This vacation event – which first set sail in 2014 with a star-studded lineup featuring Tegan & Sara, New Found Glory, and more – will include performances from an array of special guests, all personally chosen by Paramore, to be announced in the coming months. Other shipboard events will include Q&A sessions, theme nights, and of course, “Paraoke” with Hayley Williams and the Grammy Award-winning band, an act that tours as much as anyone. For full details and reservation information, visit parahoy.com.
One of hard rock's hottest acts, In This Moment, is currently raging down the road on a massive national tour – and recently announced that the tour will continue on through the autumn
Paramore months. Following their “Black Widow” tour, the female-fronted hard rock band will serve as guests to co-headliners Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach. The secondary tour gets underway September 4 in Kentucky, and continues through mid-October. In This Moment made a pretty much unprecidented Billboard Magazine Top 10 chart debut late last year with their newest album, Black Widow, which still resides on many genre charts. The band’s fifth full-length release arrived at #8 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200, while also entering Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” tally at #3 – both marking In This Moment’s highest chart placement to date. Relentless touring and a stage show that can only be described as intense has only intensified the group’s fan base and radio appeal. The album Black Widow features the group’s newest single, “Sex Metal Barbie,” as delivered as only frontwoman Maria Brink can.
