W E LCO ME TO IMMERSE 2017

Dear Friends, Welcome to IMMERSE! Many of you faced challenges to get here, but you made it! Thanks to the passionate GMA staff and a host of committed volunteers, the way has been paved for you to have a life changing experience this week. Through prayer and planning we have set a Christ centered atmosphere for you to explore new ideas, develop your talent and refine your vision. I encourage you to share your stories and desires with each other; ask lots of questions and enjoy the diverse styles around you. Christian music is the only genre defined by its message, not its sound. That said, IMMERSE is an incubator where creativity, innovation and collaboration can thrive. So… Go for it, don’t hold back, let your walls down, allow yourself to be inspired.

Welcome to IMMERSE! We are so glad you’ve chosen to be here, and we are praying for God to meet with you and direct you through these few days. Specifically, we pray that you will understand and value your uniqueness as well as your role in God’s kingdom. We pray your love for God’s Word will increase and inform your work. We pray you will find the next steps in your journey so you can effectively do what you are made to do. We pray you will become more and more skilled so you can do the task given to you in Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples.”

I’m excited to be a part of what God is doing in and through you.

It has been a joy and a privilege to prepare for your arrival. We can’t wait to meet you and enjoy watching you all meet each other. This event has a long history of launching more than careers. It’s been a springboard for great ideas, enduring friendships, strategic partnerships, and special memories. Take notes, ask questions, listen carefully, get to know the people around you, and enjoy the week.

All the best,

In Christ’s love,

JACKIE PATILLO President and Executive Director, Gospel Music Association
