Feast at the table of VICTORY! (Poem by Min. Carenda Deonne) Victory has never felt so sweet. It’s a different flavor than just a win, It goes beyond cutting a six-tier cake of success. At its best, it’s an aroma that only the resilient can smell, It has a spice that only those of integrity can digest. Victory goes deeper than the temporal feeling of happiness, It lasts longer than the sound of a butterfly. It’s a Love Jones, A Love Jones that connects heart to purpose, Truth to justice, And pain to rainbows. Victory is the standing ovation of strength and tenacity within you, It has a kindred spirit with endurance, The aftertaste of serenity is one that is priceless, True victory is recorded in the books. If one really wants to know the story, it’s discovered in the pages of your life, It has no end because God’s favor is timeless, It speaks for itself, It even has a sound that a judge can hear. When victory arises, it heals frustration, Dries the tears of Naomi, And lights a fire of boldness that even a lioness would respect. Victory has its own breath, A recipe never suited for no-shows, It gives its best even in weakness, It makes the stature of Goliath fall to his death. Everyone will not feast at the table of victory, But TODAY is your day - Bon Appetit.
