7 signs someone is in love with you 1. They have fun with you even if the task at hand is not fun

Have you ever heard this quote, "It’s not what you do, but who you're with"? It is exactly the situation someone in love is in. If that person always has fun to do something with you even though that task is boring, then it means that that person is in love with you.

2. They look at you (a lot)

According to a research from a psychologist named Zick Rubin, there is a correlation between eye contact and love. In his study, people that are in love with each other look at one another 75% of the time while talking or doing something, while people engaged in conversation only look at each other about 30-60% of the time.

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|02

3. Always has time for you •

Everyone is busy, but everyone will always find time to do something that is really important to the person they love even though they are not free. Therefore, if someone is in love with you, then that person will always find time to meet with you and help you when you need it because you are important to that person from their perspective.

4. They show empathy — in good times and bad •

Another sign that shows that a person is in love with you is that he/she will always want to know about you. When you have a good time, they will be happy with you, but when you have a bad moment, then they will feel bad for you as well. They will always be on your side and show their empathy for you.

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|03

5. They remember the little things •

If that person is in love, then they will remember every single detail about you. For example, your birthday, favorite color, favorite food, what you like and dislike. They will remember every detail about you because you are important to them.

6. They introduce you to the important people in their lives

They want to get close to you by introducing you to their best friends or their family. They introduce you to these people, who are important to their life because they want you to know more about their life and want you to be part of their life.

7. They often mention the future

They will always talk about future life and include you in their future by using the word “we” instead of “me”, then it means that they are looking forward to spending more time with you in the future.

Ultimate Valentines' Advice Dear Readers,

Valentines' Day is the day of lovers. While you remember Valentines' as the holiday that celebrates love, most people remember it as a holiday that slaps people in the face. Roses and chocolates sound so romantic, but in truth, they’re not as good as they seem to be for everyone(though the romantic ones do like flowers). For lovers, this holiday might mean a great deal, or it could be another normal day for them. What I’m trying to say is, people view this holiday in different point of views so they do need different advice on how to handle their situation or themselves on this particular day. Now, I’ll just get straight into it. For Couples : If you’re coupled, the only advice I have for you is that Valentines’ shouldn’t be that important of a date to you, even if you feel like it’s romantic. In my eyes, there is no use for dramatic gestures of love because if you truly love someone, spending time with them anytime is already special. Another thing that you should keep in mind is taking care not to idealize the idea of love or this holiday too much since when the reality of relationships get to you, you will feel disappointed no matter how much you believe in love. Love is basically experiencing the ups and downs of each and every day with someone while also trying to adjust to their habits, personality, and so much more. The HOWL|February Edition 2020|06

For People Finding Love :

This Valentines’ day, you probably can’t help but feel lonely, but not to fear! Always remember that the same feelings you feel for someone might also be the same feelings another person is feeling for you. In short, you may not know that you have a secret admirer since you are too busy focusing on the sorrow of not having someone to spend this holiday with. Also remember that you don’t need someone else to be happy! You can make yourself happy. You are strong and you will always be just fine by yourself. Love will come to you when it does. It’s all up to fate, honestly. If you feel like fate has not been kind to you, create your own destiny. Who’s to say you can’t rewrite the stars?

For Happy Singles :

Hey! You’re doing great. However, remember that you don’t always have to be strong all the time. It’s okay to rely on others once in a while, even if that makes you feel weak. Knowing that there are people who care about you and would be sad if you are sad as well can be beneficial emotionally.

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|07

For Lost Souls : Don't fret. You don't have to feel anything for anyone. You don't even have to wonder if you're weird by not feeling anything. Feelings come when they do, so don't be too hard on yourself. Also remember you don't have to like someone romantically. Most times we care for people because we love them as friends or family. There are so many different ways people convey love. That's all for my advice. I hope everyone spends this holiday smiling and happy regardless of the situation they're in. Happy Valentines' :D P.S. Important Message : IF YOU LIKE SOMEONE, FIND OUT IF THEY’RE (or their sister is) ALLERGIC TO POLLEN (TRUE STORY feat. my sister).

Romantic Movie Suggestions For Valentine Season Hellomello! After so many months of not writing (guilty as charged, oops), I am back! Are you all excited?! It’s the Valentine Edition! If you don’t know why the Valentine's Edition is so special, lemme tell you. It’s all about the Anonymous Letter. You can write a letter to thank, to confess, or to tell people how much you love them!! And the result is here in this magazine, and I’m so excited to read all of them, AHA! Don’t forget to flip through the pages and read those. Okay, enough about promoting stuff, let’s get down to business! *inserts devilish smile* Well, it’s Valentine’s season anyway, so I want to make sure you guys have some romantic movies to watch, even if you’re single (*coughs*). Some of these are well known, some are not. I hope at least one of these can interest you, cuz that means I’ve done my job for the Lovie Season! HeRe wE Go!

1. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) Let’s open with a very-well-known movie! Yas! I guess most of us have heard about this one, the 1999 American rom-com adapted from Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, starring Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger. The movie is about two sisters who cannot date. However, their dad later sets a new rule that her younger sister can date only if Katherine has a date, too! Now, in order to date, her younger sister, Bianca, and the new guy named Cameron sets a plan to find someone who would date Katherine.

AND THAT IS WHEN HEATH LEDGER COMES OUT TO THE SCENE–

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|09

2. When Harry Met Sally (1989) This one is very cute. If you are looking for the I’m-fallingfor-my-best-friend theme, this one's for you! Harry and Sally have known each other for a long time, and they fear that engaging in a deeper kind of relationship will ruin their friendship. This one is beautiful, cute, and funny. I recommend this one, I love it! 4.5 stars for audience choice!

3. One Day (2011) I’m crying inside just by thinking about this movie. It’s a Romantic Drama movie made from a famous book, and it's beautiful (*cries*). Emma and Dexter met on graduation day and somehow went out together. Dexter is a playboy, but they definitely have chemistry. They decided to draw a line and stop as friends, afterward, catching up with each other every 15th of July.
Let me warn you, this film is not for everyone, the story runs really fast as it shows mostly what happened on the 15th of July every year. Still, I cried a lot watching this film. Now, I will stop spoiling, if you want to watch it, you have to watch it! If you normally don’t cry when watching movies,

I DARE YOU TO WATCH THIS ONE!!!

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|10

4. La La Land (2016) Yes, seriously. La La Land is one of my all-time favorites, if you haven’t watched it, please do, especially if you love Jazz! Mia (Emma Stone) is an aspiring actress while Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) is a dedicated jazz musician who wants to make people love Jazz again. They meet in a restaurant where Sebastian works at. When love begins in the city that is known for breaking hopes and heart, they struggle at keeping both their dreams and their each other. This movie’s got a deep story and a bunch of beautiful songs! In my opinion, the production team blended the old musical movie-style with the current movie-style really well. You don’t even have to be into Musicals to love this movie, trust me.

5. Sixteen Candles (1984) One of the popular ones, finally! And the most famous scene, DUH! A very popular high school romantic movie! Samatha has a crush on the most popular boy in school, but the geekiest boy somehow has a crush on her. Her sister is getting married and everyone in her fam is so excited about it and forgets her birthday. It’s a lot of comedy (hilarious grandparents, for example). You would love it (*winks*).

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|11

6. When in Rome (2010) Another Romantic Comedy! I don’t even know why I like this movie but I do, also, watched it so many times. Beth is a hard-working New Yorker who has completely no luck in love. Of course, it’s a romantic movie, her love life starts after she goes to her sister’s wedding in Rome. That night, she gets drunk and goes into the famous fountain of love and takes some coins from it, the rumor says that if you take the coins from there the people who threw them in will fall in love with you. You know what comes next, ROMANCE! (͡ °͜ ʖ͡ °) 7. 13 Going On 30 (2004) With some magic wishing dust, a little 13-year-old middle schooler turns into a glamorous 30-yearold woman overnight. Jenna (starred by Jennifer Garner, the girl from Love, Simon) has everything she ever wanted but finds out that her best friend, Matt (starred by MARK RUFFALO, YES, THE HULK), is now gone from her life. Now, she needs to get him back, the true love and best friend which she left behind! This is a sweet film, I promise!

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|12

8. 500 Days Of Summer (2009) Another well-known movie and a charming one! 84% of Audience Choice according to Rotten Tomatoes. It’s an offbeat rom-com but is sweet and fizzy like a fruity soda. However, trust me or not, this film falls into the romantic drama category. It is deep and will dig deep into your heart. Tom spends his life as a greeting card writer and Summer is his boss’ new secretary. They have so much in common and spending time together with her, for Tom, is magical. Tom believes that he has found his soulmate, however, Summer believes that true love is a fairy tales thing that does not exist in real life. Summer is off-limits, but Tom wants her. Now, Tom has to do everything to pursue and prove to her that true love exists.

Love Horoscope

It’s the month of love! Maybe you have found your Mr Right already, and maybe you’re still looking! Either way, it doesn’t hurt to take a look at your love horoscope for February and your love compatibility with other horoscopes! Aries:

Chase up your ambitions from the recent past and you get things right this time. It's not like you to take a backstep, but this is where success lies. Mars, your fiery ruler, gives you extra energy when you add patience to your repertoire.

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|14

Taurus:

A sociable feeling surrounds you and introductions come from all sides. New friends open doors for you and it pays to hang out in the best company. Be ambitious, you have what it takes to be at the top table.

Cancer:

It’s easy to please everyone, but you keep a steely willpower underneath your smile. An effective combination. Pluto, planet of rebirth, brings up issues from the past and there are ghosts to lay. Leo:

You are full-on and bursting with energy. Fiery Mars brings out your competitive streak as you rise to a challenge that you have ignored for too long. You can’t put things off any more. You are apt to bark orders, but look for a diplomatic solution in your oneto-ones. Valentine’s Day 14th sees the New Moon in your relationship zone, perfect for springing a surprise. The HOWL|February Edition 2020|15

Virgo: According to your horoscope, you are focusing on fun after working hard for so long. You have credentials up the front and down the back, but more important to enjoy yourself. You’ve more than earned it. Everything you do goes better in company and friends are around to help you celebrate. Libra: Your ambitions seem far away, but nothing is achieved all at once. Prioritize, and reel the big prize in slowly. Your journey is as important as your destination and vital experience comes along the way to success. Maintaining your profile isn’t everything, it isn’t even half of it. Do the tasks which fate requires, but don't career out of control. Sagittarius: After endless thought about relocation, your moment arrives. Planets in your home zone bring a blend of restlessness and good fortune. You are looking for a reason to act, and events come together suddenly. Appreciate what you have now, however. A less radical solution that brings a percentage improvement is better than total overhaul.

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|16

Capricorn: Think carefully about new purchases and wait for your moment. You are canny when it comes to striking deals and you need all your business instincts. Competition heats up for the big prizes, and profit and prestige is bound up with the outcome. Prepare for the gloves to come off. Pluto doesn’t play fair, but don’t be dragged down to this level. Better to play it Zen-like. Aquarius: Venus, planet of love and looks, gives you a glow and you stand out from your friends, without revealing your secrets. Somebody close puts pressure on you for a reaction all February 2020, so use your diplomatic skills to the fullest. Take things back to first principles and prepare for a longer solution in your affairs. Pisces: Time to stretch your horizons and to expect a little more. The Pisces listening gift is vital. Somebody exotic has added appeal, especially when they have stories to tell and things to teach. Residual relationship business needs to be squared away, so prepare for someone to stage an unexpected return. Chin up, soon you’ll be out the other side.

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|17

And here’s a chart of the compatibility of you and your special someone!

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|18

Ask the teachers Valentine’s Edition On Valentine’s Day, we all would dream of asking out our crushes and hope they would at least go on a date with us. Since it’s almost Valentine’s day, I interviewed four teachers and asked them questions about love and their love life. All the teachers got the same questions

so I will only list them here: What is love to you? When was your first date? How did it go? Have you ever confessed your love to someone or did someone ever confess their love to you on Valentine’s day? How did it go? Have you ever been heartbroken? Tell us about it. When was your first love? How did it go? **NOT ALL TEACHERS WANTED THEIR IDENTITIES TO BE REVEALED** SORRY LOL

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|19

First, we have Mr. Adam.

About: Mr. Adam is a high school teacher. He is highly respected among students and is considered one of the best teachers the students have ever had. Not only is he capable of doing some confusing physics questions, but he is also able to play chess too! Did you know he was a model before he started teaching? I mean he probably has done almost every job.

Teacher Adam’s Responses: What is love to you? “Love to me is when you care about someone more than you care about yourself in some way, or when you put somebody above yourself. So when you do something for someone purely for them and for their benefit, I feel like that’s a real loving act. When you do that often, it demonstrates that you love that person.”

When was your first date? How did it go? “I would say my first date was when I was four years old and my mom’s friend brought over her daughter. They told us to go play and hang out, and she (daughter) decided we would have to get married. We got married that day. That seems like my first date, I guess.”

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|20

Have you ever confessed your love to someone or did someone ever confess their love to you on Valentine’s day? How did it go?

“No. That is way cheesy for my style. I would never go for that day. I would confess at the moment I feel it’s the right time to confess it.”

Have you ever been heartbroken? Tell us about it. “Yes. I’m a person who’s in touch with my emotions. So anytime that you have to break up with somebody that you care about or something happens, you got to have some level of heartbreak. I don’t think I ever have heartbreak to the point of like “end of the world”, but I have had more than once where I was dating somebody who I care about who was amazing, and life circumstances meant that we could not live in the same part of the world anymore. Therefore, we have to break up and we know that neither of us would have enough money to maintain a long-distance relationship and travel. It kind of sucks when that’s the reason why the relationship ends. Of course, I was heartbroken, but it wasn’t in the traditional sense of “I broke up with you”. It was like both of us were heartbroken for the exact same reason.” The HOWL|February Edition 2020|21

When was your first love? How did it go?

“My first puppy love was in high school. That didn’t work out. We broke up after a few months. I realized it was boring and we weren’t a very good match, and we were just together because of circumstances. We didn’t match emotionally or personality-wise. I was becoming less connected with my friends, and I wasn’t who I like myself to be. I was becoming a much different person that I didn’t like, so I broke up. I don’t think this is good for me. I thought it was love for a little period of time because I didn’t really know what love was yet.” Next, we have Teacher ABCDEFG.

About: Teacher ABCDEFG is both a high school teacher and a middle school teacher. Teacher ABCDEFG is considered one of the most friendly teachers you will ever meet. Teacher ABCDEFG has been at this school for a long time too so Teacher ABCDEFG knows all the tea. (I mean this is anonymous so can’t say any detailsssss).

Teacher ABCDEFG Responses:

What is love to you?

“Love is when making someone else happier than you makes you happy. That’s love.” The HOWL|February Edition 2020|22

When was your first date? How did it go? “My first girlfriend. I was a senior in high school. But we mostly just hung out during school. But there was this one time her parents didn’t like me and didn’t let us hang out. There was one day where they finally let her go bowling with me. So we went bowling.”

Have you ever confessed your love to someone or did someone ever confess their love to you on Valentine’s day? How did it go?

“I think I broke up with a girl before on Valentine’s day. It’s the same girl that I took to bowling. I have confessed to a lot of girls on Valentine’s day. Pretty much every Valentine’s day of my life I told a girl I thought she was pretty. I thought Valentine’s day was the best thing ever when I was little. None of the girls liked me back. They thought I was weird.” Have you ever been heartbroken? Tell us about it. “I have never not been heartbroken really. It’s pretty much state of being. When I was a Sophomore in high school I had this really big crush on a girl named HIJK. I thought I was older and she was a freshman and I thought she would like me. She didn’t like me. But I asked her out to a dance and she said no. But at the dance, she came over and she’s like “hey wanna dance?” So we went and danced and she pulled me into her circle of friends and they all threw food at me. I cried a lot I ended up just leaving the dance.”

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|23

When was your first love? How did it go? “My first love would have been the ninth-grade girl **** (the bowling girl). We’re still friends and we still talk. We dated and she was younger than me and her parents didn’t like me. We broke up then a couple of years later it got better. We were on again off again all through high school.”

Next, we have Mr. Shaun. About: Mr. Shaun is a middle school teacher who is known for taking pictures during assemblies, celebrations, shows, anything you can think of. Is he at the Chinese New Year celebration taking pictures? Yes. Talent shows? Probably.

Mr. Shuan's Responses: What is love to you?

“For me, love is a feeling of comfortability, vulnerability, and trust.” When was your first date? How did it go? “I think my first date may have been when I was 14-15 years old? I took a girl out to dinner to a German restaurant in a neighboring town. Her mom was kind enough to drive us because neither of us were old enough to drive. I sang a bit of the song, "Danke Schoen" because they had a live band playing German music and also because I was obsessed with the movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I think it went well. Everyone laughed.”

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|24

Have you ever confessed your love to someone or did someone ever confess their love to you on Valentine’s day? How did it go? “I have never confessed my love to someone on Valentine's Day, nor has anyone confessed theirs to me. Valentine's Day is ridiculous in my opinion. To be honest, I do not know the origin of the day or why we celebrate it with flowers, cards, chocolates, etc. Why should we be made to think and feel that one day a year is more important than the rest, where we feel obligated to give and receive gifts of love and affection? If you care about someone, show them and tell them. Be spontaneous. Every day can be Valentine's Day realistically.” Have you ever been heartbroken? Tell us about it. “My heart has been broken many times and in many ways. Being used and taken advantage of by people you trusted and considered friends, the death of family members, suicides, euthanizing your pet, and of course, breaking up with someone. I think the more heartache you experience, a stronger person you become.” When was your first love? How did it go? “My first real love was in college, during my freshman year. I was 18. It was the first time I felt the most comfortable being myself and being accepted for who I was. Believe it or not, but 23 years later and I am still good friends with her. Hilariously though, her husband and I have the same name (but different spellings).”

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|26

Finally, we have Mr. Ron.

About: The students ranked Mr. ROn as one of the friendliest teachers in TCIS. NOt only is he good with the media production stuff, but he was (and hopefully still is) also good at basketball! He is probably one of the nicest and funniest teachers you will ever meet. I mean there is a reason why the class of 2019 chose him as their graduation speaker.

Mr. Ron's Responses: What is love to you?

“Love is a feeling of a bond, a connection that you have with someone. Something that you can't prove. You can try to show it as much as you want, but if someone said like “do you love your mother” or “do you love your father” or “your boyfriend or girlfriend, of course, you would say yes. And if I had to say “prove it”, you couldn’t do it scientifically. So it’s a faith, a feeling, something that you can’t touch, and something that you can’t necessarily define but you know it exists and it’s powerful. Often times overwhelming. I think it is important to understand that you can love someone and not like them. You can love the wrong person, you can love a bad person. You can have these feelings and this strong bond with this person, but that person may not be good to have in your life. For example, you can fall in love with a serial killer. Do you really want to marry that person? Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with that person? I think oftentimes people become overwhelmed with their feelings. Feelings can blind you, so you are not seeing the truth, the things that you need to see clearly. Love is dangerous. It’s addicting. It can cause problems if it is not managed properly.”

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|26

When was your first date? How did it go? “I would hang out with girls in high school, but I don’t really know if I would call it a “date” because we were all shy and we pretend we were just friends but we knew we kinda liked each other. Probably in high school, we went to the mall and we went to the movies, so that was kind of like a date but it was always in a group. We would go to the movies to work like three guys three girls. My first real date would be my freshman year in college. We went to eat at a burger place. She was my first college girlfriend. She was a senior and I was a freshman. So it was pretty cool. Have you ever confessed your love to someone or did someone ever confess their love to you on Valentine’s day? How did it go? “No. I am not the most romantic person in the world. Valentine’s day is not really my holiday. In fact, I try to get out of the country or find some excuse not to be around during Valentine’s day. I don’t have to entertain or do any dates or spend lots of money on roses that die after a week. No one ever confessed their love to me (on valentine’s day) because I was never there. Have you ever been heartbroken? Tell us about it.

“Marisa Panio (??? I didn’t catch the name lol SSSOORRYY), fifth grade. My first heartbreak. I remember crying at home. My dad was just like “I don’t know why you’re crying. Why are you crying? What’s wrong with you?” I was heartbroken. She was the prettiest girl in school, everybody had a crush on her.” When was your first love? How did it go?

“Well, my first love would be Marisa Panio (again I’m sorry). It didn’t go well because she didn’t like me because she liked Brad Beron(? I’m so bad with names). I was eleven. I think I forgot about her the next day. I think she wrote me a note saying she didn’t like me. I wrote her one saying I like you or something really childish.” The HOWL|February Edition 2020|27

Sad Songs For Sad Potatoes To all the sad, single peeps:

Ah, the dreaded Valentine’s Day has come, but don’t worry, I've got you. I’ve put together some great sad songs for you. Why sad songs, you ask? Well, it’s comforting for those who are hurting. They seek someone who is experiencing something similar to them, and with that, they can connect and know that they’re not suffering alone. I hope you like it, you cute (but sad) potato. You can get through this.

:")

1.Wish You Well - Jeff Bernard

“So where do we go now from here? Would it be different if you were more near? I should have done a little bit more To stop you walking out of that door Oh but it's over now All I could do is wish you well.” Would it be different? This song hits hard. All the things that you could’ve done, but you can’t because everything had already ended. The only thing you can do now is to wish them well and move on. The HOWL|February Edition 2020|28

2.Closure - Faime

“Just tell me it's over, it's over I need to get you out of my mind Won't lose my composure Give me some closure Baby, you know I'll be alright, be alright.” Is it really over? The need of knowing if it’s really over. You know how much it will hurt but in the end, but everything will be alright. 3.Hope Ure Happy - Debbie Morena

“The day has come I should let you go We loved so deep that we forget to grow All the time we spent together has inevitably end I know we could’ve have tried Your feelings shifted I can’t change your mind But sometimes you should leave people behind To get to where you need to arrive.”

Their feelings shifted, and you don’t love them any less. It’s not easy since you can’t change someone’s feelings. You can’t hate them either since you love them too much. All you can do is to wish them happiness.

The HOWL|February Edition 2020|29

4.Love You Anymore - Michael Bublé

“Just because I'm on my knees and swearing I would change And I'd do anything to hear you say "I'm yours" Just because I know I'll never ever feel the same Doesn't mean I love you anymore."

Just because. Convincing yourself that you’re already over them but your words and actions showed otherwise. 5. Blue Skies - Mitch James

“I'll be fine here on my own I thought you were the one for me but I was wrong I can see the bright blue skies now that you're gone I don't need a goddamn thing from anyone.”

A realization that you’re doing well on your own. You’re strong and independent. You are happier alone than when you were with them. You’re doing great :D. The HOWL|February Edition 2020|30
