Home Builders Charitable Foundation Donates $60,000+ in 2021

A

strong, livable neighborhood should be available to all in our society. That is why the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA) established the Home Builders Charitable Foundation (HBCF).

Started in 2002 and relaunched in 2018, the HBCF is pleased to announce that it donated more than $60,000 to local non-profits in 2021.

• HopeBuilders • Hope House • Inclusion Connections KC • KidsTLC

One of the priorities of the HBCF is promoting education related to the construction industry, such as scholarships and special projects. Of the 24 organizations the HBCF supported last year, nine were KC-area schools preparing students for careers in residential construction:

• Metro Lutheran Ministry • Noah’s Bandage Project • Rebuilding Together Kansas City

The HBCF did support one organization outside of the KC metro, which was the Louisiana Home Builders Association Disaster Relief Fund to assist with the rebuilding of homes after the deadly and destructive category 4 hurricane Ida, which became the second-most damaging and intense hurricane to make landfall in the state of Louisiana on record.
