NNE Fully Intends To Be In The Mix

This squad was right in the mix last summer at HNIB and has every intention of being so again in 2021.

The team will have a new mentor this season, with Phillips Andover head coach Paul Tortorella taking the task of running the Northern New England bench.

Five forwards do return from last summer, which will be a big plus in the experience department.

Post-grad Charlie Addesa is back after a solid season in the EHL with the Worcester Railers Jr. Hockey Club. He will be a key up front, along with fellow post-grad Levi Guay. He had a big senior year at Maine’s Camden Hills HS.

Another Mainer to keep an eye on is senior Khaleb Hale, a top score at Hampden Academy. Senior Colby Bilodeau is integral to the success at Maine’s Thornton Academy.

Senior Danny Woodford is back; his plans are to play for the Islander U18 full season for the upcoming campaign. Post-grad Anthony Papa heads off to Bridgton Academy in the fall after a career at Shawsheen Tech.

Junior QuinnBooth will be an important cog in the NNE lineup, coming out of the Northern Cyclones program. Senior Nickolas Therrien is a solid, two-way forward from the NE Wolves program.

Senior Tylor Pappalardo is a go-to guy up front for New Hampshire’s Pinkerton Academy. Senior Ryan Jolicoeur looks for big things this winter at Bishop Guertin.

Up in Berlin NH, senior Griffin Melanson had a big hand in the success of the Mountaineers this past winter. Look for senior Aidan Hartwell to chip in; he skates at Maine’s Windham HS.

On the blue line, veteran senior Robbie Nowill out of Keene is one of the top rearguards in NH HS hockey. Post-grad Sam Cronin led the way on the blue line for Bishop Guertin and will try a new challenge this winter with the North Shore Hockey Academy.

Hanover NH senior Curtis Rice will be another defensive cornerstone for NNE with his big frame in front of the net. Michigan native JDLemonds of Rockford HS will be a huge plus to the defensive corps.

Seniors Carter Poulin and Ben Estrella both were defensive stalwarts for Berlin-Gorham this past winter.

And in goal, junior AdamBecht has a bright future in the prep ranks at St. Mark’s. Kolin Melanson of Berlin, just a sophomore, is another up-and-coming netminder.
