HOK was selected by PSU to redevelop, design and colocate the Animal, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences (AVBS) departments into a single building that fosters collaboration, supports innovation, as well as attract and retain students and faculty. Each scientific department have shared collaboration spaces, specialized research and development lab areas on each level. The new building connects with the adjacent Agricultural Sciences and Industries (ASI) building unifying the College of Agricultural Sciences together.

Within the AVBS building, stakeholders requested a special emphasis focusing on the Traditions Room where the branding should highlight ongoing departmental scientific research.
