Miles de residentes de Arkansas, organizados y patrocinados por Arkansas Derecho a la Vida, participarán en la 37a Marcha Anual por la Vida con motivo del 42 aniversario de la decisión Roe v. Wade de la Corte Suprema que legalizó el aborto. El área de reunión de la Marcha por la Vida será el domingo 18 de enero de 2015 a las 2 pm, en West Capitol, entre las calles Battery y Wolfe en Little Rock, detrás del Capitolio del Estado. Los manifestantes se dividirán en dos grupos a la derecha y a la izquierda para rodear el Capitolio del Estado, antes de unirse de nuevo en los escalones de la entrada para un breve programa. Arkansas Little Rock, AR Thousands of Arkansans, organized and sponsored by Arkansas Right to Life, will participate on the 37th Annual March for Life to mark the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. The staging area for the March for Life will be on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Little Rock on West Capitol between Battery & Wolfe Streets, behind the State Capitol. Marchers
will split into two groups to the right and to the left to circle the State Capitol before joining back as one on the front steps for a brief program. The march will proceed as planned regardless of weather conditions. The keynote speaker will be Governor-elect Asa Hutchinson, a longtime supporter and friend of Arkansas Right to Life. Also invited to attend are: U.S. Senator-elect Tom Cotton, Lieutenant Governor-elect Tim Griffin and U.S. Representative-elect French Hill.

Mayor Stodola says in this next term, his office will continue to put public safety at the forefront and he assured the residents of Little Rock he will stick with promises to make improvements to the city. Mayor Stodola says, “Currently trying to keep our people safe in terms of how they drive and where they drive certainly are all varies of activities, keeping systems and platforms available for the basics whether it is fixing our streets and pot holes.” As mayor, he says he has worked to make public safety the city’s first obligation, resulting in substantial decreases in violent crime and property crime. Since Mayor Stodola took office, the city’s homicide rate has fallen more than 50 percent with the violent crime rate falling 34 percent.

El primer Papa latino y jesuita se ha ganado al mundo con su tendencia a alejarse de la tradición, con su enfoque en la humildad y el servicio y, lo más reciente, con su llamado de atención a la Curia, el órgano administrativo de la Iglesia Católica Romana, por su falta de introspección e incurrir en el “terrorismo del chisme”, entre otras dolencias. En menos de dos años, los logros del Papa argentino ya se están acumulando. Aquí están algunas razones por las que tener un Papa latino ha sido impresionante. En diciembre pasado, el Departamento de Educación dio a conocer información que muestra que en casi cada estado de la nación, las escuelas con mayores necesidades tienden a tener educadores con menos experiencia y calificación. Como parte de la iniciativa de la administración Obama, Excelentes Educadores para Todos, el Departamento de Educación publicó los “perfiles de equidad del educador” para todos los estados y el Distrito de Columbia. Los perfiles comparan las calificaciones de los educadores que enseñan en las escuelas de bajos recursos y con mayor minoría, contra los que enseñan en las zonas más ricas.
La iniciativa Excelentes Educadores para Todos, es un esfuerzo para asegurar que todos los estudiantes tengan el mismo acceso a los mejores educadores, independientemente de su origen. Examining the gap between the percentage of first-year teachers in the richest quartiles of schools and the poorest, Arkansas has 1.6 percent, while Texas has 1 percent and Mississippi has 6.3 percent. When examining the presence of highly qualified educators in schools with high and low concentrations of minority students, qualified teachers are less likely to end up in schools with high minority populations. Breastfeeding Works for Busy Moms! ¡Hola! Arkansas Little Rock, AR Many expectant moms have busy lives and wonder if they will be able to continue to breastfeed beyond the first few weeks of life. Returning to work or school, eating out, shopping, or working-out to get back in shape are common concerns. A few simple tips can help you see how to fit breastfeeding into your busy life! 1: Get a good start with breastfeeding! Get off to a good start by putting your baby to the breast in the first hour after birth! Placing the baby on your chest, skin-toskin, for feedings and bond-
ing helps you to make more milk! 2: Nursing in public can work for active moms! There are laws that protect your right to breastfeed in public places. Learn more at: www. arbfc.org/arkansas-law. If you feel uneasy breastfeeding in public, practice nursing in front of a mirror to see what others might see. You will quickly learn what works best for you and your baby! If you are uncomfortable nursing in public you might consider wearing a separate top with a skirt or pants. You could layer a loose tank or t-shirt under a buttoned shirt or jacket. Pulling the tank or t-shirt up from the bottom
to latch the baby provides a better cover. A scarf, shawl or light blanket can work as a cover for nursing too! At restaurants, ask for a corner table or a booth. Seating that puts your back to other tables can help! Less attention is drawn to you when you put your baby to the breast before he cries. If nursing in public is not for you, you can always pump your milk ahead of time to feed in a bottle! 3: Breastfeeding can fit most work and school schedules! Planning ahead will help make breastfeeding more successful for work and/or school. Before you have the baby,
talk with your employer or school about break times and a place to pump. This can help prepare you for what to expect. A good breast pump can help you to express milk while away from your baby. Your health insurance provider is now required to provide you with a breast pump. If the pump they provide does not meet your needs, ask your WIC clinic about getting an electric breast pump after you deliver your baby. 4: Exercise and moderate weight loss are okay! Know that you can continue to exercise or workout while breastfeeding! Weight loss of
1 to 2 pounds a week after the first month of breastfeeding is okay! Whether you breastfeed or not, a new baby might require some changes to your usual schedule. Feel confident that your decision to

Arkansas obtuvo la victoria en el Advocare V100 del Texas Bowl en Houston con un marcador impresionante. Ante más de 71 mil aficionados la noche del 29 de Diciembre del 2014, Arkansas mostró supremacía ante su similar de Texas y termino llevándose el Tazón Universitario derrotando a los Longhorns con un marcador de 31-7. Arkansas sabía que la victoria ante Texas era de suma importancia por eso desde el inicio del encuentro el entrenador Bret Bielema se aseguró de que los Razorbacks estuvieran concentrados y fueran precisos en cada detalle del juego. confident to strengthen and ensure the flow of the game. It had been just 45 seconds into the second half when Brandon Allen throws a handoff of 36 yards to reach the hands of the open receiver Demetrius Wilson for Arkansas to achieve a 9-0 on the board. Followed by an extra point by Adam McFain, Arkansas was above 10-0 against the Texas Longhorns. Texas’ fans could not believe they were losing at home to the so-called best losing team in the nation. Arkansas Razorbacks will open the 2015 season on September 5 in Fayetteville when they receive the Miners of The University of Texas at El Paso for what will be the new era of football for The University of Arkansas.
