Even healthy people can get the flu and spread it to others who might have a higher chance of getting very sick, such as a young child or an older person. That’s why it’s so important for everyone to get a flu shot.

compaginando su esfuerzo de utilizar la educación como medio de superación personal y comunitaria”, dijo el Dr. Terry Richard-Treviño,

speaker. “We want to offer these exceptional students encouragement and financial support as they strive to

use education as a means of self and community improvement,” said Dr. Terry Richard-Trevino, president of LULAC 750

and a professor in the UALR Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Proceeds from the scholarship banquet go

directly to post-secondary education. In 25 years, LULAC 750 has granted more than $500,000 in scholarships.
