El legendario diseñador de modas Oscar de la Renta murió a la edad de 82 años. La causa de su muerte fue por complicaciones del cáncer, su esposa lo confirmó al The New York Times. De la Renta nació en República Dominicana en 1932. Dejó su casa a la edad de 18 años para estudiar pintura en Madrid, España, pero termino decidiéndose por estudiar diseñador de modas. Eventualmente trabajó como aprendiz de Cristóbal Balenciaga, el sastre más famoso de España. El joven diseñador se hizo

de renombre por sí mismo cuando vistió a la ex primera dama Jacqueline Kennedy en la década de los 60’s. Después de lanzar su propia línea, de la Renta se hizo conocido por la creación de elaborados vestidos femeninos que a menudo los portaban primeras damas, incluyendo a Nancy Reagan, Laura Bush y Hillary Clinton. “El excepcional ojo de Oscar solamente fue igualado por su generoso corazón. Legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta died at the age of 82. The cause of death was complications from cancer, his wife confirmed to the New York Times. De la Renta was born in the Dominican Republic in 1932. He left home at the age of 18 to study painting in Madrid, Spain but decided instead to pursue fashion design.
