SUNDAY
MONDAY
Morning departure travelling northwards towards the wonderful Attractions of the Beautiful Lake District. As we arrive in Cumbria, we visit the Ancient Market Town of Penrith, with a superb range of Cafes and independent Shops within its Cobbled Streets. It’s then just a short transfer to our North Lakes Hotel, where we will spend the next four Nights with Dinner each Evening and Traditional Cumbrian Breakfasts.
MONDAY
Today we travel to Ullswater, one of the most Picturesque Lakes in England, where we join the Award-Winning Heritage Steamers for a Cruise, passing stunning countryside to the small Tourist Village of Glenridding. After a short stay, we travel to one of the North Lakes’ most popular destinations – Keswick, situated between Rolling Hills and Derwent Water Lake. Here there are many attractions and an ideal destination for relaxation and Lunch. We return to our Hotel for a comfortable evening.
TUESDAY
From the North Lakes we travel into Scotland to the famous Gretna Green Blacksmith’s Visitor Centre. We then travel to Carlisle – The Historic County Town of Cumbria. This important Town has excellent Shops, Restaurants, Museums and a Medieval Castle.
WEDNESDAY
After our Breakfast this morning, we journey back into the Lake District, making our first stop at Grasmere – So well-known and visited because of its connections to William Wordsworth. We then travel to Ambleside where we join a short Cruise on Lake Windermere – England’s Largest Lake, taking us to Bowness. This lively resort has many things to enjoy, including the World of Beatrix Potter, Museums, Shops, Pubs, and Restaurants. We return for our Final Evening and Dinner at our North Lakes Hotel.
THURSDAY
A freshly Cooked Breakfast and then our departure back to the West Midlands.

This Lovely Hotel has over 80 well-appointed Bedrooms with full facilities. It is just a 15 minutes’ walk from Penrith; therefore, the Hotel is ideally located for all our excursions. There is an excellent Restaurant, Lounge Bar, Indoor Swimming Pool, 24-Hour Reception, Passenger Lift, Coffee Shop and Free Wi-Fi.

A morning departure to Yorkshire calling at the Market Town of Knaresborough with time for a late lunch. We then continue to the lovely Town of Harrogate and the perfectly situated Crown Hotel. Here we stay until Friday! Dinner and full English Breakfasts are included each day.
TUESDAY
Relax over Breakfast and then take your time to explore and discover all the charms of Harrogate. It is a beautiful Spa Town with a Tourist Information Centre, fine Shops, elegant Restaurants and outstanding Floral Gardens. Harrogate is the Home of Betty’s Tea Rooms, many Yorkshire Festivals, and was the Winner of Britain in Bloom. It was also voted one of the best places to live. You can return to the Hotel at any time and Dinner is included every evening.
WEDNESDAY
After Breakfast this morning, we take you into the Yorkshire Dales and the Charming Village of Grassington. We then travel to the Town of Skipton. Normally this is Market Day but other attractions here include Skipton Castle, its High Street, individual shops and Boat Trips on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
THURSDAY
A full Day as we visit the Elegant small City of Ripon, a short stop at the Market Town of Thirsk and then to the Historic City of York. Here we include a wonderful Afternoon Tea at the Hilton Hotel. We return for our final dinner at the ‘Crown’.
FRIDAY
A full Yorkshire Breakfast is a grand start for our departure back to the West Midlands.
