01 | Message for the AMR Family

Message for the AMR Family Getting together is a beginning, staying together is growth, and working together is a success. Nowadays, we are going through an evolution, and we must keep in mind teamwork: We Do It Together. Working as a team means joining efforts, making plans, setting goals, and achieving all the above by fulfilling individual tasks. Teamwork means respect, responsibility, and commitment.

Once again, I’m very proud of seeing you work as a team, taking care of our guests, our colleagues, and the communities (We Care)... Sincerely,

Adapting to changes is part of our commitment to success. If we don’t move and evolve, we might lose our passion, energy, strength, or performance. These elements are directly related to motivation and efficiency, which are the main fuel of every human being. Since we are starting the second quarter of the year, we are about to face new challenges. Our company is in a defining moment; growth and expansion are a reality. We must keep working together, as the great family we are. The only way to consolidate growth and achieve our goals is to be even more committed. Additionally, we must be at the forefront of our industry, maintaining the same quality and standards that make us stand out. To reinforce that we are part of the Hyatt family, I would like to share with you a preview of the implementation of the World of Hyatt benefits loyalty program, as well as the importance of our commitment to it. This program, which has the loyalty of 29 million members, is driven by the company’s purpose of caring for its most loyal guests so that they can be their best, offering them a world full of great benefits, personal connections, and fantastic experiences.

Meet & Greet with Mr. and Mrs. Pritzker

Last, February 17, colleagues of the AMR Corporate Operations Team in Cancun, together with some members of other ALG business units, such as UVC and Amstar, had the opportunity to receive Mr. & Mrs. Pritzker in Cancun. During the day, Mr. Pritzker shared a few inspirational words about Hyatt’s history and culture, as well as a Q&A with the AMR Operations team and colleagues from other business units, at the theater of Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort.

Helicopter Tour and AMR Corporate Office Visit At the end of the event, our CEO & President, Alejandro Reynal, along with Gabriel Felip, Group President AMR Global Operations, gave Mr. & Mrs. Pritzker a helicopter tour from the Playa Mujeres complex to the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun hotel. The idea was to show them our properties in Cancun, where the colleagues in the hotels showed them the values of both companies (Hyatt & ALG) in displayed writings that could be seen from the helicopter. At the end of the day, Mr. and Mrs. Pritzker visited the AMR Corporate Operations Offices in Cancun and gave a little gratitude speech to the colleagues.

05 | Getting to Know Emilio Huhn

Getting to Know Emilio Huhn VP of Operations LATAM/ENCA

“Attitude is everything, so pick a good one” Describe yourself in 3 virtues Integrity: How you treat people ultimately tells all. Doing what’s right over what’s fast or easy, defines who we are. Being part of such an amazing and successful company, integrity is everything. Passion: At a young age, I was lucky enough to discover that my passion and career were the same… They often say choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. This applies to everything I do, life is short, do what excites you in life, live in the moment, and be passionate. Courage: I have been a firm believer in choosing courage over comfort. Making tough decisions in life and work contributes to one’s success. I’ve always tried not to delay the inevitable as we simply can’t prevent it.

What is your purpose in life? Making a difference, I wish to leave this world a better place than how I entered it. My family and friends are the center of my life, they define who I am and keep me balanced.

What did you do before joining our company? Before joining AMR at its early stage, I was fortunate enough to work in various European countries at renowned hotels. I worked my way up from the bottom, starting as a dishwasher at an early age. After a few years, an opportunity came about with Melia to go to Mexico as Food & Beverage Manager, where I started my career on this side of the world working for many distinguished companies, such as Fiesta Americana, Camino Real, Bahia Principe, Xcaret, among others.

22

Getting to Know Emilio Huhn | 05

What is your added value to the company? Visionary, forward-thinking about the future in taking advantage of opportunities and pro-actively overcoming challenges. I am a believer in leading by example, therefore you will find me on the “frontline” working and helping my teams improve their personal and professional life, as we all strive to see where we can add value to the company and environment.

As an AMR leader, what leadership lesson have you learned during your professional career? Trusting my team, earning their trust, and helping them to trust each other is an important lesson I have learned in leadership.

How have you increased your confidence in yourself as a leader? Being result-oriented and seeing all the accomplishments achieved together as a company and individually, always helps your confidence; whenever I meet with my teams, I try to share this philosophy. Work hard and trust the results will come, and as we say, “the sky is the limit” will become a way to live and work.

23

05 | Getting to Know Emilio Huhn

What do you do to empower and motivate your work teams? I put tremendous trust in my team and allow them to lead, as I am always here to support them. I’m a strong believer in empowerment at all levels; in the end, we are in the service industry and every team member should be given the right amount of empowerment to succeed as an individual in their department. It is also important to create an environment where every colleague can express themselves as they see fit and present their ideas in a collaborative space.

What are the challenges ahead of you as we become one Hyatt family? As with any family in life, there will be challenges but personally, this excites me as they will present themselves as opportunities to grow and prove that together we are stronger and will overcome any obstacle as one team. I have truly enjoyed sharing ideas, brainstorming, and building workstreams with colleagues of similar and diverse backgrounds from the Hyatt Family.

24

Could you share with us an experience that has marked your personal and professional life? Taking the decision to leave Europe to continue my professional career in the Americas, has been the most rewarding experience. I’ve been fortunate enough to have always been surrounded by great leaders, mentors and visionaries who have left their mark and have molded me into who I am today. On the personal side, my biggest mark is having an amazing family who continues to teach me the most valuable lessons in life.

What are you most proud of? Family, being able to count on their unconditional love and support. My Daughter, Nicole, is my greatest gift. Even though she lives in Canada, and I’m now based in Panama, whenever we have the opportunity to travel and see each other, we are like a piece of chewing gum to a shoe sole; and I love it.

Getting to Know Emilio Huhn | 05

What has been your biggest success outside of your professional career? When I was younger, I worked in St. Moritz as a cook’s apprentice at a Ski Resort. Skiing was a big passion of mine, I loved it but as we know it can be quite expensive. I decided to become a Certified Ski Instructor and eventually got paid to do what I loved and spend all my free time out of the kitchen on the ski slopes.

How do you see yourself in 5 years? Definitely, the most important is to be healthy and continue to contribute to the growth and success of this “big family”. I have been fortunate to see AMR grow from its early stages and since joining the Hyatt family, I am even more excited and energized and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us together.

25

05 | Getting to Know Emilio Huhn

What are the virtues that make a leader different? To be empathetic. Empathy is an important virtue of a great leader and is critical to balance in our pursuit of results and success. Determination is also key as it describes a purposeful and driven leader who wants to achieve a goal together.

What flaw should a good leader not have? Not being compassionate, just the opposite of not being empathetic. You are only as good as your team’s performance.

What are you learning right now? I still have a lot to learn, but the pandemic has also taught us a lot which will remain in our collective memory for generations to come. We have seen and will continue to see customer behaviors change across the globe, as we all seek more quality experiences, ones that are pure, sustainable and are socially and environmentally conscious.

26

Share a quote for us

“Attitude is everything, so pick a good one”. Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% about how you react to it… In today’s fast-changing world, we all should have a positive attitude towards situations that may unexpectedly occur. We do not know what the future holds, but with the right attitude, we can and have to adapt to any situation and conquer any challenge that may come our way.

Getting to Know Emilio Huhn | 05

What is your philosophy of life? Be the reason someone smiles.

05

Don’t just learn, experience.

Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people. 03 Make improvements, not excuses.

06

Don’t just change, transform.

07

Don’t just relate, advocate.

08

Don’t just promise, prove.

09

Don’t just criticize, encourage.

01 02

04

Seek respect, not attention.

Years of experience: Over 30 years. Place of birth: Lugano, Switzerland. Favorite sport: Ski, running, and recently Paddling, after my Spanish colleagues introduced me to this fascinating teamwork sport. Favorite food: Mediterranean. Pastime: Travelling, trying new food, and experiencing different cultures. What you like the most about yourself: I am a disciplined and resourceful professional.

What you don’t about yourself: Being too forward and direct in certain situations as this may not always be seen as a gift. Favorite destination: Vienna, Austria, due to its rich culture. Favorite book: The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Idol: Knowing Alex Zozaya for over 2 decades, I have admired his accomplishments and he has always been an inspiration. Also, Miguel Quintana, partner and founder of Xcaret Group, his vision and passion for letting the world know Mexico’s culture is incomparable and deserves all my respect and admiration. 27

14 | Host City

Host City Anse Marcel Bay, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea Secrets St Martin is located at Anse Marcel Cove, on the French side of the Caribbean Island of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten, known as the friendly island. Our hotel has 258 rooms and suites with a luxury Spa, the largest Spa of the island. It is built in front of a beautiful beach of pristine white sand, surrounded by hills. Buildings of French colonial architecture is nestled in 2.7 acres of tropical gardens. With time, the structures have evolved into a more modern look with 5 restaurants, 7 bars, 10 swim out pools, and a great pool of 100 m long.

98

Host City | 14

Warm and quiet The climate is very warm and breezy. The area is very quiet, and turtles can often be seen swimming close to the shore. They come by times to bury their eggs, and lucky, one can see and help little ones to make their way to the water. From our shore, there is a wonderful view of our neighboring Island of Anguilla. The Marina Anse Marcel is situated at 40 meters away from our lobby, allowing guests to easily transfer by boat from the airport if they wish.

15 | We are Authentic

We are Authentic

The world needs more women leaders and we need to create appropriate environments for them to feel safe in order to reach their maximum potential. In Latin America and other parts of the world, women are facing huge gaps in different sectors throughout their development. During their working life, women experience difficulties to grow professionally. Let’s challenge the status quo and let’s create environments truly inclusive and humanitarian where women may stand out and reach their full potential.

01

Promote equality Everyone must be treated equally and fairly, without favoritism, no matter their gender, ethnicity, or social status. You can make the difference to create environments with equal opportunities for everyone without any kind of discrimination.

02 Understand their reality Workplaces must not only be inclusive for women but also be sensitive to their needs. It is essential to help people to find a balance between family life and working pressure, especially with the current management models.

100

The travel industry must continue being inclusive and such task must be performed collectively, not just by the concerned parties. ,

5 ways to empower women

Alejandro Reynal, ALG CEO & President.

We are Authentic | 15

03 Encourage their professional development You cannot imply that having a family means that a person is not available or interested in facing new challenges or professional growth. If a person has the proper skills and attitudes, you should offer them the opportunity and provide your support. Do not let your preconceptions decide for them.

04 Let them be authentic Most traditional leadership models are menoriented and to expect that women to lead the same way might be counterproductive. Promote different approaches and perspectives; encourage your colleagues to be their authentic self and their best, so they may achieve better results.

05 Raise awareness We have to eliminate the stereotypes restraining women. For that, it is important to promote open dialogue in a safe atmosphere where people may express themselves without judgment, always aiming to encourage everyone to consider their professional options without prejudices.

In AMR, we trust in women’s abilities and strive for gender equality, always promoting the human development and professional growth of every woman in the company. Such commitment is reflected in numbers: In 2021, AMR experienced an increase of 10% and 8% of women in EC and OC positions, respectively.

Together we can build a work environment where everyone has the same opportunities.

Wellness Boosting Women’s Health

David Pritchard Health & Performance Coach Apple Leisure Group

As we continue to highlight this month’s campaign – Women’s Health Awareness. One of my favorite tips I tell everyone, especially women is “if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of anybody else”. So yes, this advice is focused on women’s health. But guys pay attention, this advice can also impact you as well!

01

Go see your primary care doctor There are many steps women can take to achieve or maintain good health. The first is to make an appointment with your doctor so you know what to work on. It’s always good to know where you’re at with your health!

02

03

Reduce stress When getting stressed, try with the Five Blessings rule. In other words, start counting your blessings. What’s going right in your life? By the time you get to the third one, your mindset starts to change, and you start and breading differently. Having gratitude is the kryptonite to stress. Take a look at your diet We should all try to find ways to eat healthier. You must put the optimal fuel in it to get optimal results. So, what you put in your body is very important.

04

Prioritize sleep Many of us aren’t getting healthy sleep. Lack of quality sleep has been linked to several health and wellness impediments. For your best health, try to get seven to nine hours of sleep each night.

05

06

102

Get moving We’re not getting out there and moving enough. Our overall fitness would be better, our moods could improve, we’d have more energy, and we’d sleep better if we were out there exercising. Advocate for your health The most powerful tool you have is your own self-awareness and advocacy for your health. Recognize how you feel and be proactive with your health!
