People you admire the most. Why?
My Mother, for her ability to love and help others and for always motivating me to do the right thing and give my best. Joan Bottarini, Hyatt's CFO, her leadership style inspires me, for her sincere care for the team and for being an example of talent and discipline for all of us who work in Finance within Hyatt.
Describe yourself in 2 of our values and tell us why you identify with them:
▪ Empathy, I always put myself in the shoes of others, to provide the best support I can offer.
▪ Respect, Taking care of colleagues, but first with the basis of respect in our work and personal relationships.
How do you make sure you deliver your best? Having a balance between the personal and work part, dedicating enough time to exercise Since this allows me to relax and focus better on my responsibilities
What skills you considered essential to be able to care for people? Active listening and showing genuine interest in what is important to people Could you share your biggest learning so far and the story behind it? One of my greatest lessons has been to always be open to change, looking for new challenges, getting out of my comfort zone That has brought me to this great family After 20 years of working on the same property, I knew it was time to look for new challenges in a new place where I could share my experience and do my bit
Colleague Connect| 6
What do you consider your greatest professional and/or personal success? What factors helped you achieve it? Having been the winner of the CFO Award 2021, which Hyatt gives in recognition of Finance leaders who contribute exceptionally to the achievement of the company's goals On that occasion it was for my contribution to the hotels in Mexico during the pandemic and the support for the collaborators who had lost their jobs.
How do you motivate yourself and how do you motivate your team? It motivates me to see the growth and development of my colleagues, I share my own experience with my teams and challenge them to be better, to invest in their future, constantly training themselves
What future challenges do you identify for the company and how are you going to help overcome them? The growth of our company has been exponential in these 20 years and fortunately it will continue to be so, which is why we need to continue preparing and developing the talent of our colleagues, to feed the "Pipeline", guaranteeing that there are development opportunities for everyone.
Anything else you want to share to connect with all the colleagues?
Yeah. I am convinced that colleagues are the basis of Hyatt's success, providing training and development for everyone, allows us to provide them with better tools that allow them to provide excellent, personalized and differentiated customer service.
This will allow us to be the favorite brand of our guests, and they will return to our hotels, creating the loyalty that we seek in them As a result of this, the profitability of our properties will improve, giving better results to the Owners, attracting more investments, while creating development opportunities for employees, which will close the virtuous circle So, I invite everyone to take care of people so they can be their best.

Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia
Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia| 13
Not only is it known for its spectacular beauty, but it also has a rich and fascinating history Described by novelist James Michener as “the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean,” Marigot Bay has been photographed so many times that first-time tourists often experience a curious sense of déjà vu.
According to local accounts, the bay played a pivotal role in at least one notable British naval victory over the French (the island itself changed hands some 14 times between France and Britain between the late 1700s and mid-1800s).
It has been said that the British fleet, fleeing from the French navy, hid their ships inside Marigot's inner bay then lined with lush vegetation and tall palm trees disguising their masts with palm fronds. The French sailed past the bay, not seeing the hiding British. The British then surprised the French fleet by executing a strategically timed ambush from behind, not necessarily brave, but certainly effective.
Not surprisingly, its tranquil coconut-fringed beach and lush greenery also garnered attention eye of the filmmakers who used the bay as a location for “Dr. Original Dolittle” with Rex Harrison (1967). The elusive giant pink snail washed up on the shore of La Bas beach (see photo) then sailed, at the end of the film, into the sunset with most of the main characters on board.
After filming ended, the snail remained on La Bas beach for several years and many people on the island remember playing in the large fiberglass prop as children. The snail then disappeared, and some believed it was carried deep into the woods around the bay to become a smiling 'home' for Rastafarians, but it is more likely, and less romantic, that it was lost at sea in a storm. or that it was deliberately sunk.

From great sea battles and giant pink snails, to Zoëtry Marigot Bay Marigot Bay St. Lucia.
Born in 1918 in Nova Scotia, Canada, Walter Boudreau began sailing as a child.
After three weeks in medical school, he decided the call of the sea was stronger and embarked on a professional sailing career around the world
At the end of World War II, he bought his first ship, a former rum carrier, which sailed from North America to the Caribbean. Boudreau first visited Marigot Bay around 1952, the image of this beautiful bay was indelibly etched in his memory Walter Boudreau and his wife Terry returned to Marigot Bay to settle with their three young children.
In 1959, they purchased 40 acres on the south side of the Inner Bay In 1960, Boudreau continued to run their yacht charter out of the bay and the following year the couple decided build a small hotel called Yacht Haven Largely hand built using local bluestone and greenheart wood from Guiana and shingles from Martinique. The furniture was made from teak salvaged from decommissioned British warships even down to the name plates of the ships on them.
The theme of the original hotel was nautical. Electricity was provided by a generator that it shut down at midnight and the phones worked only sporadically The couple sold The Yacht Haven Hotel 1974 to Pat and Nick Bowden who undertook a major renovation, as the hotel had been closed for several years, renaming it The Hurricane Hole. Its Bar became a legendary drinking spot, while the hotel itself it was filled with Hess Oil personnel while the new oil storage facility to the north was being built in the late 1970s.
Hotel´ s history
Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia| 17
In the early 1980's the Hurricane Hole was sold to yacht charter company The Moorings with accommodations being used primarily for guests at the beginning or end of their yacht charters.
Finally, in 2002, the British couple Judith and John Verity, with development partners, bought the hotel and transformed it into a 5-star resort and marina called Discovery at Marigot Bay, which opened in 2004
Discovery was eventually sold in 2009, underwent another refurbishment, and was renamed the Marigot Bay Resort and Marina. In August 2018, it went into independent operation with a team from St. Lucianos at the helm.
If you look closely, there are still some memories of the hotel's nautical past and the influence of Walter Boudreau The Marigot Bay Marina also remains one of the most attractive and popular havens for luxury yachts in the region attracted by the stunning surroundings.
Although a world away in terms of appearance from the original Yacht Haven, one thing always remains the same: the indescribable beauty of Marigot Bay
Now part of the World of Hyatt, Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia is a tropical paradise. It offers tranquility and easy access to the main attractions of Saint Lucia, such as the nearby Pitons. A stay in one of the 124 spacious Caribbean chic suites is accompanied by warm hospitality, amenities and dedicated service with Endless Privileges®, where everything is included.

Nikoleta Papadogianni joined Creta Princess Aqua Park & Spa on November 7, 2022. During one of her shifts, she noticed that a baby was choking on food. She immediately went to the table and saved the child's life using the Heimlich method (the parents had not realized the situation before Nikoleta acted). Thank you, Nikoleta, for being an example of how our best can make a difference when taking care of people.
