Magical Forest
January 3, 2015
CHRISTMAS ON JANUARY! I had a great time volunteering for Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest event! Rionna and I originally thought we were going to be taking down decorations, but instead we ended up working in a booth selling various toys and accessories. We even got to dress the part with cute little Christmas outfits. It gave me great joy to see the kids running around with smiles on their faces, and it really made my holiday all the more better. We could be involved with all the action. This event gave families in the community a reasonable place to go for the holiday and celebrate at a good price, while also helping to raise money for children with disabilities. Rionna and I got super excited every time we made a sale; it was tons of fun! I really enjoyed volunteering for this organization, and I would do it again next year!

Conclave
January 24, 2015
A New Legacy of LTG’s As our officer board arrived at Legacy high school at 6 am, we were anxious to find out who our future LTG would become. It wasn’t long until we made it into the cafeteria and the LTG candidates’ presentations began. It was definitely a tough decision and so our board huddled up and discussed who would be more fit for the position. After the presentations, we held a DCM with the classic presidential and current LTG reports. After, while on the wait of the results, we played icebreakers and told each other our key club experiences. The winner, Sofia Yahya, was eventually announced and marked the end of this year’s conclave. -Ian Medina (Bulletin Editor)

Member of the Month
Lexie Ignacio was chosen to be member of the month for both December and January because of her pure dedication and enthusiasm for the club. She undoubtedly attends all of the meetings and is extremely motivated to participate in our service events. Not only has she been an active member all throughout the year, but she has also motivated other members to be active as well. Lexie has shown the true values of a key clubber . -Rionna Octaviano (President)
Pillows for Cancer Patients
February 07, 2015
Sew? I don’t sew. I sue Inside Joker’s Wild Club Casino, we found ourselves separated into multiple different sections all devoted to produce the pillows for Cancer patients. I was placed on the cutting board, where I slice off excess pieces of the pillows. Some people specialized in ironing the pillows to get rid of the unwanted wrinkles. Other stations are sewing the fabrics of the pillows together. Because it was extremely hazardous to handle the cutting board, I single handedly cut all the excess fabrics with ease. The task wasn't too challenging and it was sort of fun talking to nearby friends while I perform my job. When all of the pillows had no more excess fabrics, I was able to take a break and order lunch with my friend. At the end of the day, all the volunteer coordinators were extremely proud of us and were willing to have us again next time.

February DCM
February 12, 2015
Here’s to a New Term February DCM was a very eventful meeting, including one of our elects receiving member of the month and cheering “L O V E WE LOVE OUR L T G!” for our school news. Members were greeted in the cafeteria by two boxes of pizza courtesy of Del Sol High School and Sofia Yahya led her first pledge as the new D28S LTG-elect. During presidents’ reports many of the elects from various schools were introduced and some presidentelects even got the chance to share the report with their soon to be IP. After the reports, our Lieutenant Governor reminded us to always keep up the service. Before ending the meeting, Chris Ortega, to his surprise, was awarded member of the month for his enthusiasm and dedication. After the meeting was adjourned, members and officers enjoyed a slice (or more) and socialized. Before the 6:00 mark, students of the school news taped us for the school news, cheering for our LTG, not only to show off our spirit but to also show our love for our Lieutenant Governor.
